This location is very poorly ran. It seems like a lack of management. The cashier tries his best but there is no sense of urgency or customer service from the back staff. The women move slow and casual and I saw customers continuously get frustrated over wrong orders and wait times. The kitchen staff isn't reading the notes. The place wasn't even busy for it to this backed up. They either need better training or an additional worker. The location by Tiffany Treats is much better.

Eeeehhhmazing! When I ate here all I could think was "Never back down, never give up" because I couldn't stop eating this ehmazing food. And for the service, it couldn't be faster, by the time I found a place to sit my food was already waiting for me. This was an exquisite dining experience and I can confidently give it my seal of approval. Dil Doe signing out.

Urban Fries Country (No Heat) and Added Fresh Grilled Jalapeños

Ordered for delivery and food arrived hot and quick! Instead of a chicken Sandwich, I decided to try the Urban Fries, which is not my typical style of food. Selected Country (No Heat) and added grilled Jalapeños. It was good but not something I'd think to re-order. The chicken was great! Juicy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. Jalapeños had a good kick to them. I liked the Mac and cheese but found myself picking it out to eat it separately from the rest of the dish. The pickles were my favorite and I wish there were more! So crunchy and delicious. There's something sweet in the dish and I think it was honey. I'm not a sweet and savory fan. Regardless, the food was good but not a top pick for me.

Been to Urban bird off the Katy Fwy and the food is good over there (even though at time the tables smell like old dirty water.) so when they opened up this new one on 99 and Morton we had to try them out. Not only is it an Urban Bird but they also partnered with Chronic Chicken fries, which I have never heard of but their menu looks super good. Anyways my fellow Yelpers needless to say we tried the Buffalo Mac fries and the Tijuana fries and not only do they look amazing but they taste amazing too. The cashier who helped us was friendly, reminds me of Tyler the creator (its a compliment ) didnt catch his name but was friendly and had a good attitude. We will be coming back here for sure to try the multiple fries they have. Great job Urban Bird!

The take home cheese we received is definitely yesterday's cheese that went cold and back into the microwave can't even eat or enjoy it!

Customer service is awful!!! Can't believe they just open with their attitude. No acknowledgment to customers coming in. They were more interested in each other than the customers. Food is just ok nothing special! Employee drink in prep area. First time, don't have to return!

JJ, the cashier, on his phone as I'm waiting to pay.

My wife and I love urban bird, and decided to try this location while visiting famiy...a mistake we won't make again. The cashier, JJ was awful. We got to the counter where JJ was scrolling on his phone...he didn't greet us, he didn't ask for our order, he just stood there. I told him what we wanted, one Thai Fighter to go, he said nothing to us, just tapped the screen a few times before returning to his phone. I assumed it was time to pay and tapped my card against the reader. He said "not yet" and finally put his phone down for a moment to ring us up, just to pick it back up again when I went to pay. We got our food and left, and made it home before we realized he had given us the wrong food. By the time we got back it was busy, I waited in the line and told JJ that we had been given food we didn't order, to which he loudly responded "man, I repeated it..." Before throwing the food I brought back in the trash and telling the two women working with him that I needed the food I ordered, blaming me, saying again that he repeated my order twice, and acting like I was inconveniencing him, and everythone there by asking for the food I paid for. I told him I'd rather have a refund at this point, which he declined, telling me that the manager wasn't there and he couldn't refund me. He was very rude as he handed me my order, telling me to "be sure I check my order this time" which is fair, I should have checked before we left, and JJ shouldn't have been on his phone while I was ordering, maybe if he was actually paying attention he wouldn't have rung me up wrong. The food itself was alright, and the restaurant wasn't the cleanest either, not the best urban bird we've had. We don't recommend this location at all.

Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was so unacceptable that I will never return. When placing my order, the employee taking my order appeared intoxicated. His eyes were drooping and closing, he repeatedly paused, mumbled, and seemed to struggle entering my order. Although this was concerning, I chose to overlook it and waited patiently. After about 10 minutes, I simply returned to ask whether my order had been placed and if it was ready. I was not upset, in a hurry, or complaining. I only wanted confirmation that my order existed because the employee kept responding, "No orders, no orders," despite me showing him my receipt. Due to an apparent language barrier, I called my Hispanic husband and handed the employee my phone so he could ask the same simple question in Spanish. Instead of helping, the employee began yelling at my husband. Another employee joined in, and both started yelling while walking away with my phone. When the phone was returned, I still had no idea what had happened or whether my order was being prepared. The situation escalated for no reason. The employees began yelling at me, aggressively slammed the service windows shut, ignored me, and treated me as if I had done something wrong. I remained calm throughout the entire interaction and repeatedly stated that there was no problem--I simply wanted to know if my order had been placed. Eventually, the food was thrown together carelessly, shoved into a bag, and handed to me with obvious hostility. The food quality was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. What disappointed me most was that this entire situation was completely unnecessary. I was respectful, patient, and simply asking a basic question. The combination of an employee who appeared intoxicated, the aggressive and unprofessional behavior from both employees, and the poor quality of the food made this one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning.

I've gotten the food here a few times over the last few years but the service my wife received today was ridiculous and unprofessional. Antonio was present and can vouch for what happened. My wife approached, looked at the menu, and called for my order. At that time the man in the truck pulled the tip jar in behind the window and then moved away from the window when my wife tried to order. Another person (antonio) had to take my wife's order. Bad enough. After she ordered and went to wait in the car a hispanic young man arrived, the same guy put the tip jar back out and took his order with no issue. We won't be back. We go out of our way to support food trucks and the birria ramen is good enough. The guys in the truck are even fighting, slamming items, and throwing things at each other in front of customers. This is at 3:20 PM on June 16th. One of the guys is/was bleeding and this is just a bad day all around. The food is good, the meat is always savory and juicy. Really depends on who you get cooking. Either way I don't appreciate how my wife was treated and I want to believe this was just a bad day. Things to consider. Good atmosphere and solid food truck experience.

The restaurant is very dimly lit, but intentionally so -- just enough light to see your table and your plate. It creates an intimate, connected atmosphere where you naturally put your phone down. Soft live piano music in the background adds to the charm and makes conversation flow easily. I ordered the calamari, while my friend chose the oxtail tacos. Both came in generous portions, seasoned well, and arrived without a long wait. A strong start to the meal. For my entrée, I selected the whole red snapper, served with salad and plantains. I added a side of jollof rice, which paired perfectly with the fish. Another colleague ordered the pork chop with green beans and mashed potatoes -- absolutely delectable. I didn't finish every bite of my snapper only because I wanted to save room for dessert. Our table tried a variety: pineapple upside‑down cake, cheesecake, and key lime pie. Each one was a great finish to the meal and made the evening of catching up even sweeter. The chef personally greeted each table, which added a thoughtful, welcoming touch. The staff was attentive throughout the night, making the experience feel special from start to finish. A memorable meal, a cozy ambiance, and a perfect place to reconnect with people who've become lifelong friends. Loved it.

We made reservations and were quickly seated when we arrived. The place is a bit dark when the sun goes down. Plenty of wine bottles lined up on the wall and a full bar. We went for their HRW menu. In addition to the regular menu, they gave a chef appetizer of Rockefeller Oyster. Nice touch. One comment though, when it was served, they put mine on top of the bread plate which I thought was odd. Oyster itself was very flavorful. For starters, we had the Jumbo Peri Peri shrimp and Jollof's Fire Bomb. The shrimps were just regular shrimps and was chewy. The Fire Bomb was tasty with brisket meat inside. We order the ribeye and fried red snapper for our mains. Suya Ribeye was very flavorful from the African spices. The jollof rice was delicious. My first time trying it. Kinda crispy and has a kick. Fried Fred snapper was well executed. My wife loved it. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was so dark that you can't really see your food to appreciate the effort that was put into it. It was a nice gesture that Chef Casey came out to talk to his customers. For desserts, we had the crème brûlée and banana fosters. Banana fosters was a big scoop of ice cream with couple slices of banana which was a bit disappointing. In comparison to other HrW restaurants, you can get more bang for the buck at other places. We would go back for the mains but skip the appetizers and desserts.
