Been coming here for years. Meat selections are an up charge, but although it can be pricey, it has always tasted great! Today's experience, however, will be my final one. I had an extremely rude server who would ask me in a sassy tone; "anything else?" after every section I ordered, and the entire time her body language screamed that she didn't care. When she let me know that meats were an up charge, I told her "it's alright, I love this place." to which she responded "then you must not care about spending money." We finished up the order, and as always, food was great, but I'm never spending money again on somewhere with that kind of service. It's a little frustrating how there isn't an option to add your dressing ON THE SIDE for the wraps when you're ordering door dash. This restaurant automatically dresses your wrap, which leads to soggy wilted lettuce by the time it arrives. Additionally, the wrap is wet and unpleasant when I have the time to eat it because it's been soaking in the dressing for 30-60 minutes. I wish this restaurant took the 15 seconds that it would take to put the dressing in a ramekin like a person that cares. read more

I normally come here all the time and I just had the worse experience ever with an employee. Didn't catch her name but she was a young girl blonde women who threw my salad in my to go box and didn't ask if I wanted croutons and I asked after she threw my salad in there and then proceeded to throw my croutons in there. It's a way better deal to go with the larger option. You start with a base of different greens or their Salata mix, which is a nice combination of several greens. They have plenty of options for toppings and mix-ins. Proteins are an additional $3 for basic options such as grilled chicken and a higher premium for options like salmon. You can also add a soup for another $3. All-in-all, your meal can definitely add up, especially if you purchase a drink. In my opinion not the best value but it can certainly be a very healthy and filling meal. Always clean and staff are always nice. Arrived to curbside pickup spot and called the number with no answer. Figured they were busy so I waited about 5mins and called again. The line rang and rang, with no answer. Called them again about 4 more times with no answer. Waited again another 5 mins and called again with NO ANSWER. I walked in and the order was waiting for me on the "pickup" spot when I clearly chose "curbside pickup". Update: March 18. Much better job then my first visit. Place was clean and employees were customer focused. My mom loved the peach lemonade. She drank several glasses. Sleek location! This is the newest and closest to my house. I was shocked to arrive at 6:30pm to find the place empty except for one guy who, like me, was on an iPhone, eating his salad at a leisurely pace. It was so cool to have the place to myself. While the girl made my salad, three customers pulled up to pick up their online orders. There are two parking spaces up front designated for grab and go online orders. Now then, I was not completely pleased today. The girl making my salad put hardly any ingredients. She started with a ridiculous excuse for the base greens, just a handfull and she had small hands. I told her to add more and she sort of hesitated and the had an attitude the rest of the time making my salad. She needs to be trained on portions. A regular salad that costs $12 including protein plus I bought a drink so $14. It was awkward to have to feel like I am begging for ingredients for a salad that costs more than her hourly wage, so a manager needs to step in and troubleshoot. Huebner Oaks and Sonterra get it right. They were running behind apparently with the online orders because a lady arrived to pick hers up and it wasn't ready. It was two young girls making the salad and a kid washing the trays (I saw him come from the back room to put a pile of them in the front). The small salad is plenty for me for 2 sometimes 3 meals. They have a bunch of salad dressings or if you prefer just olive oil (which is usually my choice) they can put that on for you till you say stop. All the salad building veggies are included in the price which makes for a massive salad..but you can also add a meat, avocado or artichoke for a upcharge. I love the turkey. They have these good brown pita chip thingies....'mmmm I'll say. They have soups to choose from and also you can make your salad a wrap although I never have. My friend he he liked it. They usually have 2-3 soup options. There are lemonade and tea options on tap or a few bottled drink options. My buddy always gets the cookies here he loves them. The night my friend and I came in it was slow and our server Asher was very kind and patient with us. With so many options I take forever choosing what I want in my salad but I never felt rushed. As a first time customer, I had a really great experience here and was surprised by the bang-for-your-buck you get when loading up from their free toppings. The blonde young lady doing online to-go orders at the front was so helpful answering my questions and informing me of the price breakdowns so I didn't get surprised. She expertly handled assembling a bowl with all my toppings while she was simultaneously scooting to-go boxes down the line to add toppings to those orders as she came to each section. This is the type of employee that makes your business. I wish I could remember her name because she deserves a lot of appreciation. I was very impressed and never was she rude or impatient. It was like she could do her job in her sleep. I get to the end and she loaded my veggie-only salad so high that it took up almost two to-go boxes after she mixed it up. Definitely the best deal for a loaded chopped salad if you go for all the veggies, beans, fruit and seeds they offer from the free stations. I loved the experience and the chill vibes inside so much that I purchased a gift card for a grad present for someone who will be attending school in the area in the fall. My first impression upon entering Salata was: CLEAN and NEAT! This establishment takes salad making seriously. I found it affordable with two choices, either regular size $8, or small $7. These are flat prices, they do not weigh the salad after preparation. I like that because some of my choices tend to be heavy and I end up paying much more at other similar salad bars. I decided to order a small for this my first visit. When they say $7 they mean it, as you can see from my ticket. Building my hearty bowl was FUN, as I had over 40 choices available to me. Wow! They offer additional protein choices for a few dollars more, as well as fresh soups. They have Vegetatian and Vegan options and everything is clearly labeled if you need Gluten Free as well. On to the dressings...which were neatly arranged and available to sample. My salad was now ready to be mixed, tossed and packages for me in a recyclable green container. By the way, i love green :) They have a few sweet treats for purchase near the register and a variety of beverages and teas. You can also pre order your Salata online and have it freshly prepared and ready for you to pick up...sounds great for when in a rush. A kids version is available for $6 also, which I will totally get next time for my little guy. Just in the area and was feeling myself to be a little healthy and figured why not Salata? Service: You have to think of this as an "upscale" subway style build as you go salad bar. You start of with your base and the employees handling your salad goes about adding the ingredients you choose to put on your salad. Pretty straight forward and hard to mess up service wise over all. Only reason I'm going 4 Star is bc almost every free table we went to was a little dirty so just kind of a let down but nothing to cry about. Got a napkin with water and took care of it. Quality/Taste: Again this is kind of pick your own poison. They don't skimp on the ingredients and if it's not enough the first time around you can always ask them to put a little more of something you might've felt robbed of (except the proteins which is sad bc I could use more lol). But the ingredients are super fresh and kept super clean so there's that. Price: For what it's worth it's really not a bad deal. You could easily make two salads out of one regular if you go crazy. But as with most people in this city paying $10+ for a salad meal is a bit much so maybe discounts or something might attract different demographics. I enjoy the chain very much and one of the reasons is their consistency. The resturants is always kept clean and the staff changes out their gloves, and maintain the restrooms as well. The produces is always fresh and the brewed teas aren't overly sweet. Glad I found this location as it is closer to my house than the others. I always get the regular salad and I can typically make that about 3 meals. Usually salad, and than I make the leftovers wraps at home. Can't really find anything negative to say about them at all. I got worried because I saw a long line, but thanks to their assembly-line-style ordering, the line moved quickly. I was able to build my own salad and I got to add things I normally don't have access to like alfalfa sprouts and craisins. I got the large salad and I loved it. They have a pretty straightforward concept- you get a bowl, big or small, and fill it with as much stuff as you can fit in there. They offer wide selections of toppings- get as many as you want! All the ingredients are fresh, appetizing, and plentiful. They must've had forty different options that you can put in your salad. They're sorted by type- veggies, nuts, croutons, etc. For a couple of extra bucks, they offer a protein you can put in there, like ham or turkey. They have displays of the calories of the ingredients, and it's all very healthy. Once you get your salad, the seating area opens up to a fantastic view of the golf course, with giant windows. It's a wonderful view, and an attractive dining room. They have a variety of teas and lemonades all on tap, served up from a keg in the back. There's outdoor seating as well, if you want a view of Basse and the parking lot. My recommendation is eating inside. They also offer to-go service, and online ordering if you don't wanna stand around asking for each and every ingredient. The service is tip-top. They were very nice, and don't complain if you ask for a hundred different toppings. The place is impeccably clean, and well lit. Overall, the difference in salad sizes between the large and the small isn't very great. The small is about the same size as the large, especially once you load up on toppings! Salata was such a great experience. It was me and my husbands first time there and we got lucky by having the manager assist us with our order. He explained everything in great detail as far as how it worked, the different types of toppings and we even got to sample a few things! They have such a huge and great selection of salad toppings and greens. Just when I thought it couldn't get better we get to the area where we can choose what type of meat we would like to add. The Asian bbq and turkey were my favorite! They also had salmon, herb chicken, and several other meats to choose from. If just eating salad is not your thing they have some delicious soups to choose from. My favorite was the tomato basil, add some croutons and sprinkle some cheese on it for an extra kick of flavor!! I usually just drink water since I'm not a fan of sodas or anything too sugary but I opted in to try their selection of freshly made teas. They were not overly sweet and had just the right amount of flavor to pair with my salad. They had green tea, peach, raspberry lemonade and prickly pear. Prickly pear was my favorite!! I will def be coming back here for more because salad soups and teas sound great but.....they serve wraps as well!!! id really say 3 1/2 based on my first visit... as others have stated, restaurant & salad stations are nice and clean. i had a chance to check out what was available as i had to wait for about 3-4 minutes for someone to come help me. yes, the 2 salad preps appeared to be busy with others, but i was spotted by both and a simple "be right with you" would have been more welcoming. especially since it was my first visit and i was unsure of process. it also would have been nice to have been asked if i'd been there before, and short explanation of how thinks work if answer was no. although most of toppings looked fresh, i have to say a few lettuce choices were a little wilted looking and the spinach looked... not sure how to put it... but lots of broken stems, tears in leaves - just didnt look great. but i got a bit anyway along with kale & romaine mix. dont be afraid to ask for more of what you want, as initial additions of some toppings was a little sparse. drinks are teas on tap - literally - water, or bottled sodas and water options. now i will admit i am VERY PICKY about 2 things where salad is concerned --- FRESH & CLEAN! i had small problems with both here. i found several pieces of totally wilted - as in decomposing - spinach, and the large pieces of kale did not appear to be washed - or washed well. in fact, i found dirt on one piece. leaving me to wonder if they use prewashed, bagged lettuces or prep the ingredients themselves - either way... had me looking over bites before i consumed them. i was TOTALLY in love with the Fat Free mango dressing. im usually a "dressing on the side" gal, but opted for the toss! even though there was a pool of dressing on the bottom - usually a HUGE no no for me - i kept mixing my salad into it! only 10 calories a ladle and the taste was very light and refreshing. i did add the herbed roasted chicken - nice latge chunks - moist and tasty. so... i'd come back again... read more

In my humble opinion, salad is salad. The only way to mess a salad up is for the ingredients not be fresh. To be fair, Salata does have fresh ingredients, though I do find their experience to be a bit pricey. My issue with Salata is their online ordering platform and their physical parking at the Quarry location. Several times, we have made "group orders" each time having one challenge or another. If my team and I were not computer savvy, it would be different; fact is we all are computer competent. Today, in particular, was the worst experience yet. Today I ordered for "delivery" yet the platform created the order as "pickup." Their platform does not allow for tracking or even offer the opportunity to make changes to an order. We were SWAMPED at work this morning so I offered my team the opportunity for a group order. After an hour, I called to get an ETA for my order to find out it had been ready for 30 minutes and was for pickup. If Salata had a more robust platform, mishaps like this could be avoided. Further, in this particular incident, a team member was even being challenged logging in to order so simply decided to bypass lunch altogether. Again, it's one challenge right after the other with their platform. This has been a recurring problem to every team member in my office. What angered me today is when I called for the ETA, the person on the phone knew the only way to rectify the problem was to get the food delivered. She asked "Is there anything I can do to make your experience better" to which I answered "deliver the food." She responds "I can't do that." If you can't fix the problem at hand, don't ask what you can do. Her question was poorly timed and not well received given the situation. read more

Three people working tonight which doesn't seem short staffed but they each took turns adding every piece of lettuce and mix in individually then helped the NEXT people walking in before moving to the next station with us. At the end there were seven people waiting to be rung up and the manager was still making new salads for more people. What an inefficient way to make a salad and run a line. The good news about getting a salad at Salata is they do give that second scoop of what you want when you ask without saying "it will cost you," because at the end of the line it does cost ... a lot... for a salad. It's cost is comparable to getting a steak at say Texas Road House. If you don't mind paying a big price for a big salad (or wrap) this is a great place to go. I personally love a fruity salad and they have strawberries and apples and grapes, and that makes me happy. Their low calorie mango dressing is tasty and a lot less calories than the other dressings. My man gets ranch and it's homemade so he loves it. For the protein I used to get tofu but they stopped offering it. BOO! They have falafel but it's too dry for my taste and then there is quinoa. They do have poultry and seafood as well. Bottom line is the salad is great, the place is clean, but the price is high. I really enjoyed this place. I tried it for the first time after a co-worker suggested it. Several of us had lunch here and I found it to be a perfect place for this type of situation as, 1) who doesn't like salads? and 2) they have so many toppings and options that everyone will be happy.
