For this visit to Piatti I met some friends for lunch and I loved their lunch offerings. I had chicken Alfredo and a salad, and the portions were so generous that I had to take some home. Our server was so helpful and kind and she had wonderful recommendations. I love the bar at Piatti and the bartenders are always good for serving amazing drinks. For the table, we shared bread with olive oil and tried several of their desserts. Everything was made to perfection. Piatti is such a good addition to the Quarry for truly traditional Italian food. It is a great restaurant with wonderfully handcrafted food and craft drinks.

Piatti used to be a favorite of mine, but after a bad experience a few years ago I stopped going. It's been a few years since my burnt pasta incident, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. They've renovated since my last visit. It's bright, open and inviting. I had a caesar salad, short rib suge, and tiramisu. Everything was really good and flavorful. I would've liked a little more dressing on my salad, but I probably like more dressing than most. I'll definitely be back, but I'll have to try a few more dishes to really justify a higher rating.

For a Friday night date night we decided to check out Piatti in the Quarry. When we visited SA before moving here we would frequent this restaurant. Oh how things have changed. The update to the restaurant was refreshing but I think I prefer the old design. But the food has the same delicious taste I remembered. We had the bread with oil and the meatballs to start. They didn't disappoint. For our mains we had the Bolognese and the Short Rib Supo. Talk about yum. Service initially was a little slow. But as the meal went on it got better. I highly recommend checking out Piatti.

    Fettuccini Alfredo

I was really disappointed with the food. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and unfortunately it was the worst I've ever had. The pasta was extremely chewy and the overall flavor was not good at all. On a positive note, our server was very nice and polite. Also the ambiance was very cute.

Came here Saturday at 11:30am. Awesome customer service and the food was delicious. We started off with the ciabatta sourdough and Caesar salad. We ordered the short ribs sugo and linguine and clams for our main course and had tiramisu to share for dessert.

Clam rigatoni with black noodle. Tasteless not good, pretty much horrible

My cousins wanted to go here for their birthday because apparently the other locations have excellent food. This was my first time and my last the food was lousy. I got the clam rigatoni which had an interesting presentation with black noodles but it had no flavor at all. It tasted like steamy water with noodles that we used to eat when we're little and we were too poor for any ingredients. The bread was okay the ricotta was was good but you got to be pretty bad to screw that up. After tax and gratuity you're looking at about 30 something dollars for a plate which is absolutely not worth it I had better Italian food from a food truck at a baseball park. Drink water just to wash my mouth out and then I ordered the chicken alfredo. The noodles were overcooked and rubbery, the sauce felt like they stir fried the sauce into the rubber noodles which had little flavor and the sauce was dry like I was eating old school elementary macaroni and cheese just did not have the flavor texture or the sauciness that you normally get with alfredo sauce. This whole experience was a disaster. Our waitress was good the other service had Smiles the place was clean but the food terrible. Our bill came over $100 which was absolutely not worth it. This should be featured on Hell's Kitchen because that's what it felt like disastrous. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Go to Nacogdoches and Thousand Oaks there's a little hole in the wall that's a quarter of the price and their food is phenomenal.

Came for a late lunch and it was not very busy which was great. Love the aesthetic of this place and the seating is very comfy. Server was great and attentive. I had the meatball appetizer plate as my meal, and it was honestly so perfect. Highly recommend that if you want something yummy without all the carbs.

    Mushroom Campanelle - $23

Piatti's reopened after a brief closure to remodel and revamp the menu, back in spring 2023. Since then, they have received a lot of negative reviews from the "regulars" because the atmosphere has changed, and the menu has been revamped. I'm here to tell you to ignore all of those reviews! I will admit that I had never been before, so I am reviewing it for what it IS, and not what is WAS. I've been a couple of times since their remodel, and I think the service is consistently good, the atmosphere is great, and the food is cooked and prepared well. Most dishes run just a bit north of the $20 line, but they are very tasty. Most of the entrees are large enough to share, or at least take home leftovers. The Mushroom Campanelle is my favorite, followed by the Short Rib. They usually participate in San Antonio's Restaurant week, so use that as an excuse to get out there and try something you normally wouldn't. Last, but not least - the desserts are the bomb diggity! Try their tiramisu or their fried donuts (the fried donuts are the best!). EMBRACE CHANGE, PEOPLE! You will learn to love it!!!

Service was excellent and food was delicious. Ate outside since the weather was nice and it was a perfect al fresco experience (it was fun simulating a meal in italy without having to leave home lol) This is my second time at Piatti and it doesn't disappoint. The fresh pasta and wonderful flavors of the sauce brought me back. Also had the ciabatta bred for appetizer and ate it before i could remember to take a pic lol

The food and service weren't bad, but neither was good enough for me to give Piatti any more than 3 stars, especially for the price point. Piatti is located at the Alamo Quarry Market on Basse just east of the 281. It's an Italian eatery that's located right by the mini traffic circle on the east side of the market. While on my temporary assignment in San Antonio, one of my co-workers recommended an Italian place that started with a P, but it wasn't Piatti. I was looking up Italian eateries in San Antonio, and this one caught my attention not because it also started with a P, but because it was at the Quarry Market, which was my very first stop in the Alamo City. When I came in, a couple of hostesses were there to greet me, and I asked for a takeout menu, which was an elongated sheet of paper, no less than tabloid size I would say. Actually, I had seen the menu beforehand on their website, which you can see at https://sanantonio.piatti.com/menu. However, I couldn't assume the prices online were the same as the prices of that day, so I had to check to make sure the dishes I had in mind were still at the same prices. I also wanted to see if there was something else that sounded good, but with so many Italian terms on the menu that I wasn't familiar with, I didn't want to take my chances. I settled for the Salmon Piccata and the Beef Carpaccio. I really wanted some salmon since I hadn't had any seafood on my San Antonio trip up to that point, and I recalled seeing a handful of Beef Carpaccio photos from my Yelp friends. The hostess didn't give me a whole lot of time to peruse the menu, but since I couldn't decide on any other pair of dishes, I stuck it with the Salmon Piccata and the Beef Carpaccio. I also wanted the hostess to describe the dishes to me since, like I said, there was way too much Italian on the menu that I didn't really have much of an idea as to what I was getting myself into. The hostess did a good enough job of explaining the dishes to me that I was confident that I'd like the meal. But maybe I was too confident. The hostess then asked for my phone number and first name. First name, okay, except she spelled my name with a C even after I said it was spelled with two E's. Ugh, well at least it had two E's like I said lol. But the phone number? Why? Apparently, it was to keep my info in their system so they could greet me as a returning customer. Well, here's the thing: My phone number's area code is a California area code, so do you really think I'd be a returning customer? Well, it's possible, but they would have had to impress me by a great deal in order to warrant a return visit, especially with so many other eateries in this city. The phone number could have been used to text me when my order was ready, but it was just too hot outside, even for this SoCal Yelper. I received no such text, and I don't know if giving my number will do any good. The hostess told me it'd be about 20 minutes before my order would be ready. She handed me my order after 16 minutes. Not bad! However, I didn't get any plastic utensils to go with my takeout bag. Inside my takeout bag were two small takeout boxes. They're not your standard square takeout boxes for a normal meal. If you've ever been to a JOEY Restaurant, which has a location in Houston, it's pretty much the same sized takeout box as JOEY. For ~$50, I was expecting better, but both the Salmon Piccata and the Beef Carpaccio were underwhelming. The Beef Carpaccio had just a few pieces of salty cheese and thinly sliced raw beef, kind of like a meat & cheese charcuterie board with prosciutto. The actual meat was good, but the cheese was really salty and overpowered the taste of the meat. Even though the hostess said it was one of her favorites, I would definitely not call it a favorite of mine. The salmon comes with white bean-garlic purée, and while the purée wasn't bad, I don't think it married well with the salmon. Since I mentioned JOEY, I will make another reference and suggest that a Truffle Beurre Blanc would have gone better with the salmon, but alas, that is French, and incorporating French into Italian would probably cause their native speakers to cry foul in spite of their sharing a border. Don't get me wrong, the salmon was still good, but it wasn't good enough to bring the rating up to a 4 after the super salty Beef Carpaccio. When placing my order, the hostess asked how I'd like my salmon cooked. I went with medium because sometime earlier this year, I learned that if you order a salmon medium, it will still be cooking even after you receive it. Overall, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't set my expectations too high. And if I make a return visit to San Antonio, I'd probably try the other P Italian restaurant instead.

I stopped in to Piatti's for the first time since they re-opened at the beginning of the year after an extensive remodel and menu overhaul on a Sunday for an early dinner around 5:30. My friend and I didn't have a reservation but the restaurant was only about half full and we were promptly seated. After this experience, I can't say that I'll be in a rush to make a return trip any time soon. Service was just ok. Our waiter barely checked in and went for very, very long periods without checking in. For example: at the end of the meal, he boxed up our dinners, dropped them off and walked away, and then we sat around waiting for him to come back for over 21 minutes before we ended up flagging him down and asking for the check. As another diner mentioned - after our waiter took took our drink orders, he asked if we wanted bread (thinking it was complimentary as in times past) and were surprised to see it was in fact a $4 charge added to the bill. Then there was the food. I went with the pork chop saltimbocca served over sautéed green beans. This was just ok - there was a large bone running right near the center of the pork chop making the bulk of the cut inedible. For a dinner that cost over $60 (without an alcoholic beverage) I left with little appetite to return any time soon.

A great experience at Piatti since it underwent its renovation, and we were very pleased with the changes! The interior has a much more modern look, the staff has new uniforms (not the greatest), and the new menu has some great new features along with some legacy dishes, too. Ian, our server, was fantastic in helping us navigate the new menu and provided some great recommendations. To start, we had the meatballs and ordered the sourdough ciabatta bread (no longer complimentary but still delicious and worth it) so we could enjoy it with the meatballs. By appearance, they didn't look that great but don't judge a meatball by its appearance. The interior was pleasantly tender and seasoned nicely. For our entrees, DH had the pork chop saltimbocca and I had the lemon ricotta ravioli (added shrimp). The ravioli are few but large and plump, so I was able to bring half of them home to enjoy for lunch the next day. For dessert, we shared the buttermilk panna cotta, which was the perfect finish to our delicious meal. Looking forward to trying more dishes from the new menu!

Had a wonderful meal at Piatti! The ambiance was so nice and our server was great (kind and fast - we mentioned we had a flight to catch). Overall, the food was rich and flavorful. Here is what we ordered and how I would rate: - Spinach salad w/ goat cheese & strawberries (7/10) - Chicken alfredo w/ homemade pasta (8/10) - Homemade ravioli w/ brown butter (8/10) - Italian soda (10/10) I grew up going to Piatti but hadn't been since renevations. I loved the new layout of the restaurant, and saw many classic menu items as well as new! Definitely check out Piatti for a yummy Italian meal. :)
