This West Salem Walgreens used to be a great store. It has really gone down hill. Went in to get a…read morepassport photo today. The clerk took my name and phone number. Went back in 5 hours later and one of the "managers" was there. No photo. The SD card isn't working, which he said has been a problem. He said he wasn't told anything when he came on shift about my photo. I asked if it would be policy for the clerk to call me and let me know it couldn't be done, so I'd know to go elsewhere. He just said, "yeah, she should have called." That's it. If they knew there was a problem, why wasn't that relayed to all employees and consequently, to customers? Also, the store has been very dirty. I've asked when the janitor might be coming in. I was told they don't have one to do floors and someone on each shift is supposed to be cleaning them. Is everyone still using COVID as an excuse for poor customer service and lack of help?

It's not their fault you don't know how insurance works; take that up with your CCO. It's not their fault your copay's high; again, take that up with your CCO. It's not their fault they're out of stock, not their fault you're getting generic and not name brand, and certainly not their fault that your doctor's office hasn't sent them the prescription you need. The system is broken, and for working in a broken system, they're doing a great job. I also don't attempt to pick up my medication until I get a notification saying it's ready. Super effective and efficient.

This is for the phone system, NOT the providers. When one calls, the recording says "you are the…read morenext caller", over and over and over. The majority of us who call are not developmentally challenged. We know that we are not ALWAYS the next caller. It is insulting to keep telling the caller that he or she is the next caller. Furthermore, every time this message breaks in, the song (Baby Elephant Walk) starts over at the beginning. Come on--you can do better than this for your patients (and their patience!)

This morning, I called at 9 AM when they opened to verify they have a COVID dose for a 5 year old and they told me yes. I asked if a prescription was needed, they told me no. I get there after a 30 min commute and they tell me that he needs a prescription. I wasn't worried about that because I expected them to do this honestly... called my son's ped office and they said they'd fax one over but that it was a weird request. During this is Hope process (already 25 minutes in....) they asked me if he was healthy. I feel as if they profiled him for being non-verbal and disabled (I was holding him on my shoulders). I told them yes, he is healthy, but that he does have a genetic disease. the they started to act weird. The pharmacist (Sam Rallins) came over and told me that, by Oregon law, he cannot give a vaccine to any child under the age of 7. I asked to see the Pfizer and Moderna boxes, they denied. I asked why they specifically told me that it was okay to come in on both phone calls (yesterday and this morning) when I was very clear that it was for a 5 year old.... they couldn't answer. I asked them for guidance on where else to go, he told me that no pharmacist will administer it to him (they are out at his peds office, unfortunately). I genuinely felt like them profiled my son, and that Sam felt uncomfortable administering the vaccine. I could respect that, but he told me that is not the case. Why tell me to come in with my 5 year old, and have me stand there holding him on my shoulders, and juggling everything else you're asking me to do. I asked him To explain his rationale to my pediatrics as I had them in the line and they were confused. He acted grossed out and said he wasn't going to talk on my phone (that's fair) so i put it on speaker and stuck my arm through the window. He backed up and was intentionally uncooperative. My mind is literally blown.... he's a dick, I'll leave it at that.

My teen daughter dropped off a disposable camera for processing before the holidays with some…read morepictures with her best friend during her trip to Indiana last July. She was so excited to get them developed, so I went in with her and showed her how to order prints. When she picked them up, she was charged about $10 for processing and a cd. Sadly, the envelope included two dark blurry prints, the cd and a note that said the roll was exposed. She was extremely upset about her pictures not turning out and the added insult of having to pay for nothing. I took the envelope back to the store and talked to the manager, who went above and beyond to apologize and make things right. He said staff is supposed to check each order and call customers when things like that happen. He apologized profusely and promptly refunded the cost of developing and added points for our trouble to the new MyWalgreens rewards program. This is what customer service looks like to me!

Very frustrating. This is the first time I've had an issue buying it right before close time. I come late most days but it's always before closing time and I'm always helped. This pharmacy always has long lines. The man in front of me stated it took 8 minutes for her to help just one person. If the cashier takes that long to checkout one person that's not on me. If you are in line before closing you should be helped!
