They advertise on OfferUp under Big Bob. They lure you in with low prices, than say it's already sold. Not a respectable practice. Listing was up for 2 months, I was told last night that it's still available, traveled an hour to get it and was told it already sold without even looking at the listing. They lie to get you to come in.... Avoid at all costs... The owner responded trying to suggest that their message said it was sold-that is a bold faced lie. Their message said "it's still available, let's make a deal on this item". They are just trying to get around this posting and discredit it, but it's true. We went to Sale Sumo hoping to find some kitchen cabinets to create a kitchen peninsula. We were able to find all of the cabinets that we needed and even enough butcher block for our entire kitchen countertop, although one employee told us we took the entire shipment that had just arrived that morning. Employees walking by regularly checked on us to see if we needed help. Brandon helped us load up the five very large pieces of butcher block into our cart and the owner, Brian, made sure we had help loading it up into our truck. On our third visit, we had removed one item from its box for inspecting before purchasing and, as a result, the cashier mistakenly double charged us. We had a hard time reaching them on the phone, but returned to the store and received wonderful customer service, a quick refund, and a gift for our trouble. All in all, we have had many great experiences and will definitely be back. read more

Kim & Brian are awesome individuals. The crew members are all super helpful and nice! We go to SS at least once a month for job supplies and for our own home upgrades. Its virtually impossible to walk out of there empty handed. No matter what you need, I guarantee you can find it there. They get new shipments almost ever day or every other day, it seems. So their inventory is CONSTANTLY updating, they are always adding more great things to get for a great value. Anything you buy from here you must check before taking it home. I bought a shower head and it wasn't complete, so I ended up going back and returning it. The owner told me to keep it and choose another shower head. So I did. I went to SaleSumo on 4/8 and it was a sh$&show! I have been there in the past (years ago) and it was pretty good. Now it looks like a junk drawer in a warehouse. Most of the items are in boxes so there's not telling what it is. No identified sections. The stuff that is not in boxes is piecemeal at best. I was extremely disappointed in my last cost and will likely never go back. read more

I emailed and called but they did not respond to any of my requests. A huge "0" Stars for this company and I recommend you do not buy from them. No customer service whatsoever!!! I really hate how much I like this warehouse store. It's dirty, its grimy, its huge and nothing seems to be in the right place. Well, everything is put roughly into sections, like toilets over in that area, lawn mowers are in that area with weed trimmers and doors, but outdoor lighting is over here, where indoor lights are over there. My first trip consisted of me buying nothing, I really just didn't know what to expect. I soon discovered that if I really wanted to get to shopping, I'd be digging through piles of mailboxes, lamps, power tools, flooring, rugs and cabinets it was a literal Home Depot rejected yard sale on steroids. It's not the sort of place to take your kids, it's basically a dusty open warehouse. My second time there, I had outdoor lighting and a new mailbox in mind, and it took me a few hours to find just the right mailbox, and four matching outdoor lights, remember the lights I was talking about, 15 or so pallet sized boxes of lights to look through each with about 30 or 40 lights to sort. It was time consuming, my hands and clothes were dirty when I was done, some of the glass inside the boxes was broken on some of the lamps, but I ended up leaving with a new mailbox, four outdoor lights, a new area rug, and a couple other odds and ends I found along the way for about 1/5th the cost of buying them all at a traditional retailer. It should be noted that the items I found were in fact all new, unused, maybe they are discontinued models, but I didn't much care about that. Some of the stuff they have is used, maybe it's returned items, I'm not really sure, but when you're checking out, they'll give you a price for everything in your cart, I found that the more things I had in my cart, the better my price became per item. If you're in the market for upgrading a house, buying a tool, replacing random things around your house like toilets and outdoor furniture, Id definitely suggest stopping by and keeping an open mind about it. This place is really cool lots of scavenging! The men helping out on the floor are great. Biggest complaint is the owner or the guy that gives prices at checkout. I've been at SaleSumo a few times now and have purchased quite a few items from them but now it's a waste of time. They are overcharging for stuff now. Previously I purchased some zamma brand laminate flooring T-Molding transition strips from them for $10 each. I needed some more so I went there again, it took over an hour to find some since it's just a jumbled mess of stuff thrown everywhere and when I get to the register the lady said $65 for 3 of them! I was shocked, she said they sell at home Depot for $35 each which isn't true, they sell for $21 each. Lowest she would go was to $50 for 3 of them. The transition strips weren't even in good shape, they had some scratches but I was fine with it as long as I was going to get them for a good reasonable price. But to try and charge $65 when retail is $63 is crazy. Be prepared to spend a lot of time finding something then walk out empty handed once you find out their high price. Greed has set in, when they first opened they were much easier to deal with and get good reasonable pricing. Not anymore read more
