Sallys usually has what your looking for. But not always. The good thing is that there are many of them so if one place doesn't have your needs, you can go to their other location. I don't know why people don't like the store because I actually really like it. I found a lot of the hair colors that I needed. They have a lot of good brands like Wella color, charm, and ion brand which I believe is their own brand. The staff there is always helpful. I've only had good experiences here read more

I've seen some clearly outdated reviews about this place and I just want to give a more recent approach. I've been going to this sallys for a couple years now. Every time I go they have what I need, granted I do check online to see if they have what I need before hand or give a quick call as should everyone, takes a couple minutes and saves you gas and time instead of walking in an expecting to get what you need and them not having it. The staff lately have been a couple of older Spanish ladies, they check up on you and try to give as best advice as they can. Sallys doesn't hire LICENSE ONLY employees so do not expect expert advice. They will try to give you best advice from word of mouth and from their own experience, but you can't expect them to have tried it all either. At the end of the day it's a beauty store not a hair salon, do some research and little more effort in educating yourself before purchasing something that can damage your hair as they do carry various professional products. read more

I used to be a fan of Sally Beauty primarily because of pricing. You just have to get used to the funky knock off brands of premium favorites. But generally, store staff is pretty ambivalent across the board ... I have been to many Sally Beauty stores over the tri state region and I'm almost always in a store where staff is not very interested ... usually in the back socializing or have little to no product knowledge. (The one exception was a store in PA where the manager was a beauty professional and had extensive knowledge of the goods on sale.) Usually not a biggie since I go in for my intended item and leave quickly. This store in particular was terrible. The manager had zero interpersonal skills and it looked like her staff was in fear of her. I came to exchange out some nail polish colors that I had purchased in haste at another location; manager didn't even look at me; grunted no and dismissed me. The other employee must have been new; it took her forever to check out my purchase. All store employees were sullen and morose. I hardly ever write in to corporate but this was a particularly agonizing experience; I received an apologetic phone call from the Denton, TX office and a re-assurance that the manager did not properly follow store protocol as nail polish is exchangeable. I want to say I'll go back but definitely not to this location. And in recent years, Sally Beauty pricing has crept up to a non competitive level and selection has been going downhill. I started going to a Harmon that opened up in Edgewater where service is much better and location is more convenient. Pricing is also much cheaper. read more

I don't understand everyone's issue with this spot. Been coming here for years and the prices are fair. They have all the things I use to color and cut my hair in stock consistently. Yea the staff is hit or miss but they're like high school kids so what do you expect? The place is clean and location is great with parking. Just wish it was open later than 8pm. read more

So today is Father's Day and they had a sign that says 20% off for Father's Day I wanted to get my father clippers some nice ones and when I was checking out, this other lady came over and said we're not doing that 20% off.... Like what? It's Father's Day today. read more

This place is amazing, professional or not professional it's a very affordable place to get everything you need from coloring your hair to getting makeup. And I don't get why a lot of people have problems with the staffs, they're super nice and they check up on you to make sure everything's going well. read more

So apprarently this store manager has a set of rules that differ from company policy. I bought a She Moisture curl enhancing smoothie which I have never purchased before.This stuff was horrible and as stated on their receipt I went in for an exchange. The young lady who helped me advised me that I should not make any exchanges when the store manager is there because I will not be allowed to do so bc I had returned something in the past. I advised her to take a closer looking ok at the receipt and notice that this was the first time the returned item was purchased. She then said yes I know but just be careful with her (store manager) as she will not allow you to make any exchanges. Hopefully someone from Sally's corporate reads this and clears up the miscommunication. The read more

The staff here is terrible. Although they were huddled in the back room, they were the loudest in the store! There were plenty of customers in the store too. I needed assistance and one of the workers purposely ignored me (I guess to continue her boringly loud story about another lady she forced to take out the trash). Very unprofessional. Very disappointing. Staff needs a serious change in leadership. The cashier girl was very nice and helpful but that was it. read more
