    Yes it was a Saturday night and obviously busy as to be expected, but quickly I found someone to help with my concerns. Originally came in for NYX, quickly remembered the brand b is not available, and Chana immediately helped me find an alternative color matching and texture size matched. Thank you again. She showed me why yes it's more but it's also worth it. Last longer and doesn't smudge.

    I've been to many different Sephora locations in the Bay Area; I must say that this is the best one, by far. I went to this Folsom location, since mine is closed in Roseville. Sephora stores are all generally the same. They sell the same products and have a similar set up. The factor which sets this apart from the others is the outstanding customer service and product knowledge. Mary is the most attentive and knowledgeable Sephora employee I've ever consulted. I was in-need of a new, daily skin regimen and was luckily paired with her. Mary provided stellar service and listened to all my concerns, before recommending any products. She added a layer of warmth and humor, as I was very nervous to go out of my comfort zone. Mary didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, nor did it feel as though I was being ripped off. There were other friendly associates, including the person at the register. Not only are they using best-practices for the COVID situation, the Sephora employees are able to spend as much time needed with individual customers, meeting all of their needs. I will mot be going to my usual location, even after it opens. I will make the trip to Folsom for sure.

    It has been a very long time since I have been in a retail store and I just left now after an amazing experience with two wonderful employees, Alex and Heidi! Alex took the time to look up my account as I had forgotten what email address it was under, and I was able to get my free birthday gift! I also signed up for the Sephora card which is a partner with Louis Vuitton and red bottoms, so it is something I definitely recommend to my fellow yelpers who are obsessed with Sephora, LV and red bottoms! Thank you Sephora for having such a wonderful staff who goes above and beyond for your customers!

My younger sister is looking for a completely unlabeled eyeliner pencil that she bought a year ago. My older sister is trying to find a lipliner to match the only lipgloss she's ever liked. I'm looking for a skin tint that won't make my skin look like I fell into a plate of flour. Enter Hasmik. My younger sister shows her the eyeliner pencil (again, NO LABEL) and not only is Hasmik so sweet but she knows IMMEDIATELY what it is and where to find it! Then my older sister was showing her the mixed berries Tarte limp plumber and said she wished there was a lip liner that matched. Hasmik picked up the lip plumber walked straight to a lip liner that was a different brand, did a color match, and on the FIRSTY TRY it matched the mixed berries lip plumper perfectly. Finally she helped me find my peeerrfect shade in the Fenty beauty eaze drop blurring skin tint and helped my sister find her winter shade at the same time!! Instead they gave me a dirty looking flannel that I did not take as at that point I did not trust where they got it from. I later saw the stylist wipe the surface dresser with it. This place would have been a convenient go-to for me living in EDH but now, will never go back. I felt the R treatment.

    I had a very disappointing experience at this store due to being misinformed by the cashier…read more While checking out, the cashier appeared new and unfamiliar with the process. She told me I could receive a discount if I simply answered "3 questions." Before agreeing, I specifically asked multiple times if this would affect my credit or involve a hard inquiry, especially when I noticed it was asking for my Social Security number. Each time, she clearly told me no, and said it was "only for rewards/Discount." Shortly after completing the questions, she said, "Congratulations, you've been approved for a $500 credit line," which was completely unexpected and not what I agreed to. I never intended to apply for a credit card. Because of this, a hard inquiry was placed on my credit report, and I had to immediately call and close the account. This experience felt misleading and dishonest. Regardless of experience level, customers should be clearly informed when they are applying for a credit card, especially when it impacts their credit. Transparency is extremely important, and this was not handled properly. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures employees are properly trained so this does not happen to others.

The issue is the staffing and overall customer experience. This was only my second visit. My first experience was great: friendly staff, easy shopping, no issues. However, my most recent visit was the complete opposite. I was shopping for face washes and skincare, and I stopped to look at a few new items from Origins, a brand I've used for years. One product in particular--the Apple Peel--didn't clearly describe what it was or how to use it. There were no samples available, and the packaging didn't indicate whether it was a mask, toner, scrub, or moisturizer. So I opened the box to check... and immediately the employee, who had been friendly at first, told me, "We don't allow customers to open boxes." That would've been fine if the product information had been clear or if samples were available or if the employee actually knew what the product was. I asked her what the item was supposed to be, and instead of answering, she told me she once bought their hand cream and "it smells amazing." I asked again if she knew whether it was a mask, toner, or something else, and she repeated that it "smells so good." This didn't help at all. She offered to look at it up for me but she did not , she was busy training/complaining to a new hire at the store . Since she wouldn't let me look inside and clearly knew nothing about the product, I purchased it anyway hoping it was a peel or exfoliant. Once I got home, I opened it--and it turned out to be just a toner. I definitely didn't need another toner, but at that point it was too late. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was how she hovered over me the entire time, constantly asking if I needed help. I understand offering assistance, but when a customer is clearly reading product labels, comparing items, and not asking for help, hovering feels intrusive. There was even a security guard right inside the front door, so the level of monitoring from the employee felt excessive. My bigger concern is that this store offers no samples for many of the products yet discourages customers from verifying what they're buying--or even checking to make sure items aren't damaged, leaking, or previously opened. That's a basic quality-control step, especially when buying gifts. Ultimately, my issue is not with the store itself but with the lack of staff training. Employees should know the products they're selling or at least make a genuine effort to look them up when asked. Customers shouldn't feel rushed, hovered over, or prevented from understanding what they're purchasing.

I've never, except maybe one other time in my life, have told someone that they had rude customer service, but I told this girl to her face and promptly left. Avoid!
