Well I tried to get help with hair colors just wanted to match the shades in my hair but the employee was of no help didn't seem intrested in helping and even asked if I understood what she was saying making me feel like I was stupid.She was short chunky dark long hair. I just went into Sally Beauty in Philips Ranch I asked for assistance with a product. The sales person named Vivane refused to sell me a product because I asked her about my curl pattern and explained heavier products weigh my hair down. She seemed to become offended and I told her as a customer she should not refer to products as stuff. From that point it went downhill. She made it clear to me she won many awards for customer service and stated she would not sell the product to me. I asked for the manager and Vivian said come back the manager is here. Asked for the Manager's name and finally she told me Elva. She warned me there is video and cameras. I told her I am not yelling screaming cursing or threatening. I used a normal tone of voice and she said I don't like your attitude. I hope Elva recognizes that Vivane is inappropriate when a customer is simply asking a question about an African American product. I read previous reviews but thought the reviews were one-sided. The manager witnessed wise to review store footage of sales associate at the Philips Ranch location. read more

I'm so disappointed with this Sally's visit. Never have I had a issue. But this younger Asian lady who worked there had hickies on her neck and boob. Didn't have the audacity to cover up while working at her job with children around. She didn't want to help. Kept repeating herself to me when I kept asking questions. I wanted purple for my daughters hair and all she wanted to is say bleach her hair then put it on. I told her no I just want a tint of purple what one do I use and she don't wanna tell me. I went in to return stuff that I bought few months ago. I couldn't return it at the time, because Sally's wasn't according returns due to covid. However, on the website, they said that returns after 60 days are accepted. I went into this Sally's and the lady straight up said I can only do exchange. No return, no store credit. Idk her name but she was an old lady with thick thick brows. I went to Chino location afterwards and they gladly returned my money. These people at Pomona location idk what kind of lazy people they are but they don't know what they are doing at all. read more

I would give them no stars. The customer service in this store is horrible. They are most probably prejudice too. I had a return with an exchange receipt and the manager of the store said I could only do an exchange because I didn't have the original return receipt. In most stores even other sally beauty stores an exchange receipt is enough to act as proof of purchase and a return should not be denied. read more

It's been a while since I've come into a Sally's and I didn't know where to look for half the items so I asked the lady at the front if she'd help me out. She was beyond amazing! She grabbed everything I needed while trying to juggle the checkout line and gave me suggestions for an alternative when they didn't have a certain item in stock. Honestly so upset with this location. I never really had a problem with them before. I'm at the parking lot of Walmart 2 min away from Sally's; I call 3 min before closing wanting a hair color urgently because I got a flight tomorrow morning and I dont have time to go in the morning. Anyways, a nice lady answers the phone saying she will get the hair color and have it ready before they close. So I get there and its closed I see a short girl with red hair leaving to the back with her register box. The other employee, a Asian girl comes opens the door to tell me that the other employee had closed her register knowing I was around the corner. I'm furious I'm going to leave with my hair like this!! What happened to the good old customer service Sally's use to have?!!! l never want to spend my money there again. Very quiet store in a nice shopping place. This place is well stocked. I went in yesterday and I looked around for quite some time without feeling pressured at all. The lady there helped me well and was very nice at answering my questions regarding products. I don't think this is such a large location, but neither are others. these ladies have NO IDEA what they're talking about. i went in and said i wanted a specific color (which the top of my hair was ALREADY what i wanted) i just wanted to match the sides to the top, which i told them... they made a recommendation (which i took and purchased) !! what they recommended, turned the blonde on the top to a GREY !!! fucking grey!!!! and the sides to a piss yellow. the toner (that i left on my hair for 25 minutes BTW !!!!) had NO EFFECT (i'm thinking because they recommended a different brand of developer, that's why the toner had no effect... either way these ladies don't know what the fuck they're talking about at this Sally's. if you need a sally's, go to the one in La Verne off Foothill, they know what they're talking about and they can definitely help you out way better. they helped me get my hair to a really pretty blonde in 1 dye, before this store fucked it all up.
