What a fun night! Came here with a couple of girlfriends. Started at the little lounge area, but…read moresoon took the party to the bar when we ran into another yelpie! Don't let the outside of this place fool you because looks are definitely deceiving. We were cautious coming to this place due to the appearance of the outside, but once we were in it was so much fun. Agus, aka rawbartender, was Ah-mazing and truly made the night fun. He was truly such a vibe!! I ordered the SpongeBob, which was Goslings rum, pineapple spice, ginger, lime, angostura bitters. Especially with the show that was put on, my drink tasted even better. It was a Smokey, yet smooth and refreshing drink! We also got the Snow White, on the sweeter side made with Pear vodka, orgeat, pear juice, lemon juice, cinnamon. And of course, we can't forget our schooling in tequila and Mezcal from Agus. He was very informative of what he was serving and we tried a few different shots. He gave us the rundown of how you're actually supposed to taste tequila. And I have to say I've never had an experience like that before. I wish the party didn't stop and I will definitely be coming back specifically for Agus and of course the drinks!

The code to enter is updated daily on the website , once inside the you enter through the bookcase door. The ambiance is nice cozy , low -moderate lighting ( not to dim ..you can still read the menus without a flashlight... which is nice) We sat at the bar and the seats were very nice and comfortable ( which I enjoyed a lot) and spacious I didn't feel squeezed between chairs/people ! The bartender was fabulous . And made great drinks ! We just got drinks I got the peaches peaches which was pleasantly really good not to sweat or bitter , not to overpowering with peach flavour very well balanced . They also offer small bites / food. I will def be back to try some more options !

This place is an absolute gem. I am SO glad i did because this was hands down one of the best meals ive eaten in years. My girlfriend is pescatarian so we opted to have all vegan/vegetarian options and this omnivore did not miss meat at all. My favorite dish by far was the watermelon crudo which, to me, defied all space and time. The watermelon looked, felt, and tasted like a beautiful tuna. The flavours had a Vietnamese flair to them, including a chili crisp and fresh mint, and i was using the delicious and crispy fries to sop up the rest of the sauce. Everything we ate was incredible, flavourful, and beautiful to look at. The atmosphere was romantic and dreamy, a huge change from the pug filled cozy pub that it used to be as the corner pug. Service was lovely and they surprised us by bringing us champagne and a sweet note at the end. It was absolutely amazing and we felt so taken care of. I will be thinking of this place for a long time and cant wait to go back!

The Laurel is a spacious and beautiful restaurant. The staff are very professional and courteous. Decor is modern and chic. Food was executed well, coming out at good temperatures. As this was a pop-up dinner, I do want to return to try the restaurant's normal menu because I've only heard great things.

The space is vibrant, with high ceilings and comfy quilted bar stools. I got their charcuterie board which had some tasty cheeses, salami and delicious prosciutto, etc. I also got their horchata, which I never had before, and it was very tasty. This is a Mexican, rice drink flavored with cinnamon, I really enjoyed. They have fun music playing here. My next time at The Industrial, I got their Mary Y Sol and my friend got the New Brit. I really enjoyed Mary Y Sol, its a subtle sweet rum, cocktail, sweetened with pineapple and coconut. It's a very different type of sweet. I really enjoyed this one. The New Brit was also great but the Bourbon base was too strong. As much as I like their vibe and their craft here, the service is lacking. I asked for water three times, and it never came. It also wasn't particularly busy. This is a huge turn off, especially for a brand new place. This is a beautiful space, that's bringing new attention to Downtown New Britain. I wish the bartender was a bit more attentive, a little smile never killed anyone. This a new place worth checking out, but their service could use a little attention.

For the price we paid, we were definitely disappointed. The tamale was essentially all dough and barely any chicken... and the fondue that was supposed to come out with artisan bread and fresh vegetables came out with crackers and basically all broccoli. The ratio of cheese wasn't even enough for us to dip everything that it came with. The cheese itself wasn't bad, but the broccoli had some dark spots and didn't seem the freshest. We were curious about the chocolate fondue, but after not being happy with our lunch, we decided against it.

Max was exceptional, always smiling and attentive. (My daughters find.) She wanted to try a different pizza place. What kid doesn't like pizza right? And she is very particular with her cheese. I think I ordered online for takeout and my order was ready within a reasonable time. I ordered a large chicken pesto specialty pizza and a small specialty pizza with standard pizza mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, and piped ricotta. I also ordered a penne all vodka and chicken cutlet. The crust on both pizzas was very good. Good char. A good mix of crispy and chewy. The chicken pesto pizza was terrific. It has chicken cutlet slices, pesto, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and ricotta. Really every part of this pizza was great. Highly recommend. I ordered the 3 cheeses specialty pizza almost out of curiosity, because I've never seen anybody go all in on those cheeses like that. The good news is, that within that pizza, were the components of a very good pizza. The blend of these cheeses didn't completely work for me flavor-wise though. Also, these cheeses produced a bit too much grease. I'd order just the sauce and standard mozzarella next time and I bet it would be very good. The penna alla vodka was a chunky sauce version. The noticeable chunks were mostly onions. I'm used to more of a blended version. I respect that this dish has its own vibe, but I personally prefer a blended version. The sauce flavor was good. The chicken cutlet was very good. I bet they make a great chicken parm. Service was friendly and efficient. Apizza Heaven won't win any beauty contests. The inside is functional. There were a few tables. The outside could use some attention. There were a few random things around the general area. I definitely noticed them when I was walking in. I think people would have a better first impression if those details are taken care of. Overall, I'd rate my experience 4.25 Stars. But I could definitely see getting up to 4.5 or 4.75 on future visits.
