I would definitely recommend sitting out there if you can. Waitress- I wish I remembered her name because she was amazing. From recommendations on drinks and food to giving us dessert on the house. Drinks: I started with Nonna's garden and then had an espresso martini. Both were delicious. Coffee is brewed to order which makes a difference. He tried the mx to Milan but didn't feel it was strong enough. Turns out this drink is prepaid every morning. So he got a White Russian and was pleased. I've heard so much hype about Casadoro and was really excited to finally check them out! My mom and I went for a girls night, and we really enjoyed sitting out on their gorgeous patio. Even though it turned into a rainy night, it didn't ruin the vibe because they were able to put down the windows and make it an enclosed space. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the appetizers started out strong with an extremely fresh burrata and prosciutto, great bread, and fried zucchini. The entrees were okay. My mom had the shrimp primavera, and the gnocchi was pretty mushy, and I had the quattro formaggi which was good but could've used more flavor. The lemon cheesecake was an excellent dessert and so creative! Went with a party of 10, I made reservations and we were able to sit down on time. Service was wonderful. Drinks stayed filled, and the waiter came by to make sure we didn't want any refills on any alcoholic beverages as they were being consumed. He recommended a few appetizers for the table. We got to try the chef special, garlic bread with ricotta, and calamari. All very good. As was the bread and oil that I think comes with every meal. After I heard the specials, I went with the short rib gnocchi, but the salmon with spaghetti squash was a close second. I wasn't disappointed in my dish. It was a really good size and I ended up taking half of it back with me, something tells me it's gonna be even better the next day as most Italian food is. My one regret is that I didn't order the lemon cheesecake to go. All of the desserts sounded amazing, especially the hazelnut tart, however, the lemon cheesecake is super cute and I heard from other people that have been to this restaurant before that it is delicious. Visited Casadoro, for the FIRST time, yesterday night (2/6/26). The place was veeeeeeeeery LIT and clearly popular. Parking was tough and some guests spent 10+ minutes finding a spot, so arrive early. We had reservations and were seated right away, but because it was packed, service was slow. Drinks took about 15 minutes, appetizers about 20, and entrees roughly 35 minutes. Food-wise, everything was good overall. I had the bolognese -- great flavor, though the pasta could've been cooked a bit longer. Calamari tasted good ,but lacked seasoning and crunch. My mom enjoyed the salmon, especially the potato purée she subbed in; green beans were just okay. The lemon cheesecake was tasty, though not what we expected presentation-wise. One downside: Salads were offered in a way that made them sound complimentary, but they were $11 each and added up quickly. Also note that automatic gratuity is added for larger parties (ours was 8)...so it was $85. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves. We'd definitely come back, just on a less busy night. read more

I was excited to finally try Casadora after hearing mixed reviews, and it ended up being the perfect spot for a ladies' lunch. The restaurant has a casual, relaxed vibe with an open-concept layout. It's beautiful decorated and immediately felt welcoming. We had a large round table towards the back, which was ideal for catching up and gave us some privacy. Service was excellent. I wish I could remember our server's name because she was fantastic-she made great recommendations, checked on us often, patiently gave us time to decide and even took several photos of our group. The menu is extensive, and everything we ordered was delicious. I had the chicken parm, which was perfectly seasoned and breaded, juicy and tender, with classic red sauce. What really made the dish stand out was the pasta: small snail shaped shells (lumache) tossed in a vodka sauce. The shape held onto the sauce beautifully, making every bite delicious. It absolutely hit the mark and completely satisfied my craving. My friends ordered veal milanese, chicken milanese and the quattro formaggi pizza and everyone loved their meals. They also have a great selection of cocktails and mock tails. I had the Tuscan Orchard which is made with fig vodka and pear cognac. All I have to say is YUM!! Portions are generous-everyone brought leftovers home (sadly, I was visiting from out of town so that wasn't an option for me). There's also and outdoor dining area that appears to be used year-round, though it wasn't open during our visit. Overall, Casadoro lives up to the hype. Reservations are highly recommended. Went to Casadoro for lunch last Saturday with son from Boston. Had the Gnocchi Fritto for app and it was quite filling. The whipped ricotta for the dip with the honey was super delicious. I had to have the Whole Eggplant that I had last time and it was good but different. They have substituted the original sauce with parmesan and turned it into Eggplant Parm. This was quite good and much more filling but still would have preferred the original more innovative serving. Service was top-door as usual. The setup is very pretty, though tables are pretty close together. There is an outdoor area converted to indoor for winter, which is where we were seated. Our waiter for very good though it seemed like staff may have been stretched a bit thin. He still did well getting drinks for our large party and the bar was a bit backed up. That being said I think the cocktails were my favorite part of the experience. I tried the sangria and another house cocktail, both of which were very very good. I ordered the rigatoni vodka with chicken which I enjoyed, though I think the menu and prices reflect food that is fancier than what it actually is. My friends tried the seafood pasta special which they loved. We tried the ricotta appetizer which was not very good- the ricotta had way to much lemon added and most of our group did not enjoy. The cheeseboard and meatballs were both quite good though. One person in our party had an issue with needing a new plate as his appetizer plate was a bit dirty and said his pasta came out hard. Portion sizes were adequate/ fairly large, though not heaping portion sizes like other Italian places. After 7 months I have returned. I'm actually with the family celebrating a birthday. It was a group of 8 of us. The weather was beautiful and we were able to sit in the patio to enjoy the summer weather we are having in October! It's lovely out there! Service was wonderful! And the food even better! My husband surprised me coming here for lunch one day. I've been wanting to come for dinner, but, it was nice to try for lunch. Very welcoming just like Doro Marketplace. I went to Casadoro for Valentine's Day dinner. The reservation made in mid-January, but can probably be made with less time in advance if it is not a busy day. The restaurant is a perfect place for date night, with a nice interior and a great overall setup. The food was also amazing. For the appetizer, we got the fried calamari, which was served with tartar sauce. This was simply amazing, as it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I got the cacio e pepe, which was creamy and tasty. My girlfriend got the NY strip steak, served on top of mashed potatoes and with a side of green beans. One of the Best Italian spot in the area. We came on New Year's Eve at dinner time and the place was packed. The food was incredible. It was so flavorful and fresh. As a part of the Doro group, I was not at all surprised that I loved Casadoro! They do everything well in all of their restaurants. We decided to go for our first time for a late dinner on my husband's birthday. We were seated in the patio section (indoor - it was pouring rain!) The ambiance was very nice! Our server was great and we enjoyed all of our food. I'm very picky about meatballs, and loved their meatballs and the polenta they were served on. My husband ordered his go to - chicken parm - and loved it! It was a large thick piece of chicken, he ended up getting 3 meals out of it! It came with pasta with vodka sauce, which he loved. I ordered the veal Milanese and wow! It's one of my favorite restaurant meals ever! I had two large thin pieces of veal, topped with greens, roasted peppers, and a lemon caper sauce. There were fried Tuscan potatoes underneath. It was amazing! I couldn't stop eating it but I was stuffed. I still had enough for a second meal, and it crisped up again nicely when I reheated it in the oven. If you like veal, try this dish!! For dessert we got the lemon cheesecake, which is cutely shaped like a lemon, and creamy inside. They put a candle in for my husband's birthday, which was sweet! I didn't know what to order so I let the people I went with order and maybe I should have suggested something I would like. I gave it three stars because our prime rib sandwhich special taste delicious. However one side of the sandwich was good, then the other one had a long piece of hair. So it just threw me off entirely and I didn't want to eat anything else. They did give us a brand new sandwich but I mean I can't eat anymore so I didn't benefit from it. We went to Casadora on a Friday night and was told we couldn't be seated without a reservation, and was told they were booked all night, we went online right away and found several reservations open under several different times but decided to come back Saturday afternoon instead and made a reservation for then. We got there and was seated. It was nice inside and the waitress was nice. She promised us warm bread for the table and that never happened even though every one around us got warm bread. So we ordered salads and two pasta dishes. The salads were good. The pasta, yikes. I like al dente pasta but this was short of that. It was down right hard to even bit into. We didn't eat much and didn't get checked on by our waitress so we didn't eat it. We were offered take out containers (which we left on the table because we were not going to eat that again) when the waitress came back and paid nearly $90 (again yikes!) and left. This place seems overly pretentious, priced too high for what it's worth and over all not a great experience. They definitely missed the mark here. read more

I said we had it on our radar for a lunch one of these days, and a board member that lives in Newington said, "you'd better make reservations first". So, we did have reservations for yesterday's lunch (Saturday April 5). When I brought that topic up in conversation with our server, he shocked me by saying there were over 600 reservations placed for the day. So that explains a lot of things. It explains why the Casadoro parking lot was packed, it explains why the restaurant seemed to be at full capacity, and it explains why all those customers and reservations are so plentiful, because Casadoro is fantastic. The restaurant took over the old space occupied by the Mortensen Dairy and a Bertucci's. The spiffy new (since December 2024) is restaurant is gorgeous, with an open kitchen, black and white geometric tiled floor in the bar, laminate flooring everywhere else, plenty of modern tables, chairs, and booths, and eclectic wall art. Sam, our server, was wonderful -professional, courteous, helpful and very engaging. It seemed as though at the same time we sat down he had already brought over a basket of grilled Italian bread and dipping oil. We ordered a Parma Pizza ($16.95), an order of Mussels ($14), split an Insalata Verdi ($12), and split a Cannoli Pie ($10) for dessert. I gotta tell you, everything was great. The pizza came with prosciutto di parma, mozzarella, arugula, and a red sauce. It was very good, and a large portion for being on the lunch menu. My Mussels came with n'duja (spicy, spreadable pork sausage) butter, tomato sugo, and two slices of grilled bread was perfect. I love mussels, and this was one of the very best versions I ever had. First of all, the mussels were HUGE, plump, soft, and delicious. The tomato sauce was thick, the bread was addictive, and the portion (once I de-shelled everything) was big. I couldn't have been happier with my lunch. We shared the Insalata Verdi (leafy greens, roasted beets, pistachio goat cheese, sherry vinaigrette) and the portion was so generous we each had a big plate. Which brings us to that amazing dessert. The cannoli Pie came as a deconstructed cannoli -a big disk of diced orange, pistachio, chocolate chip, and ricotta inside a rounded cannoli crust with a pistachio crema garnish. Fantastic all around. And speaking of fantastic, so was the overall service as an army of servers scurried around the dining room, filling our water glasses, clearing dishes, setting the table, etc. Our lunch was fit for royalty, and at $56.85 was a good value because two thirds of that pizza came home with us for future use. If you haven't visited Casadoro yet, I strongly recommend that you do. Just be sure to make a reservation first. read more

We came here to celebrate a graduation during a very busy weekend with graduations and Mother's Day, so we completely understand that the restaurant was packed. Our waitress was absolutely amazing. She was kind, attentive, and whenever something was forgotten, she immediately went to speak with the kitchen and tried to make it right. That being said, our table definitely seemed to fall into a bit of a communication dead zone. My chicken parm was forgotten, and while waiting for it the rest of my family's food got cold. They ended up sending their pasta back to be reheated, which also took a while. Our drinks were forgotten at one point as well, and our to go dessert sat waiting for a long time before anyone brought it over. The food itself was great and we still enjoyed celebrating together, but overall the experience would have been much smoother with better communication between the kitchen and staff. We booked over a week out and still weren't able to get our preferred time for dinner so I'd recommend making reservations at least 10 days out if you want a specific time. Love the energy in this place. It's "loud" and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We generally go to Bricco for Italian food and appreciate the intimacy the ambiance provides. Casadora on the other hand definitely feels brighter and a more casual vibe - great for families and friends - just depends what you're in the mood for. Service was great even tho it was super busy. When we want to have a little celebration or treat, Casadoro has been our go-to choice. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on the weekends because the secret is out. Casadoro is serving some of the best quality Italian dishes around. Also, the atmosphere with its modern vibes is refreshing for an Italian-American restaurant. My husband and I have already eaten at Casadoro a handful of times, whether it was for a birthday or a treat since they are a little expensive (but so worth it!). Out of all the dishes I've had so far, the Mushroom Ragu is my favorite. It is the BEST pasta dish from any restaurant that I have ever had. The pasta was perfectly cooked, great flavor, and wasn't too salty. My husband loves the Pepperoni Pizza with hot honey--recommended by the staff on our very first visit. The crust is not too thin, crispy with the perfect chew and reminds him of his favorite style of pizza. The hot honey isn't over powering either. Some of the appetizers that we like are the Calamari Fritti and Zucchini Fritti. There is plenty to share with a few people. I like that the batter on the calamari is very light and is served with cherry peppers. The zucchini is crispy, thinly sliced and comes with a yummy lemon aioli. They do serve complimentary bread to your table with herbed olive oil. If there is room for dessert, I loved the lemon cheesecake that is presented in a shape of a lemon, coated in white chocolate. I'm drooling as I write this review and we look forward to many more visits to Casadoro. You will have to check them out yourself, but definitely get a Pepperoni Pizza. read more

The waitress was frequently visiting our table checking in on the progress of our lunch. I got the pancetta onion pizza, which was a tasty bite, the crust was by far my favorite. I wasn't looking for anything heavy and this seemed like the best option. My boyfriend got the eggplant norma, the eggplant was huge. A little too much cheese to complete the task and could have used a bit more pasta to accompany the vast size of the eggplant. Bread was served at the table prior to our food arriving. We made a reservation and arrived on time, however, the only table available was a high top which was not what we reserved but we decided to sit there anyway. There's definitely a difference in service and ambiance when they're super busy vs the first time I came. Our server barely checked on us, honestly probably interacted with him for a total of 30 seconds in the 1 hour we were there. It is poorly ventilated in the summer time so next time we would sit outside. It gets very loud inside as well.
