This is a great location to find some the best salmon you've ever had. We've first visited Salmon Etc. when we cruised to Alaska earlier this year. The location is quaint and the proprietors were awesome. There are samples of the smoked salmon, as well as salmon dip made from the same salmon. It was delicious. So much so, that we had to order more after we ran out of the product we purchased on our trip. Thanks to the staff at Salmon Etc. for being so pleasant and informative.

Salmon ETC is recommended by our cruise ship shopping activity director. They have recommended we stop by to support the local product. The store is a small strip of the plaza. Very easy to miss it if you walk by and not notice it. This store carry all wild caught salmon. We were here looking for belly portion Smoke Sockeye Wild Caught Salmon. This is the premium grade smoke salmon and it is very good. We goof two packages. Each package is $19.95. Worth the money. We have taste the different smoke salmon in the store. But none like this pepper smoke sockeye salmon. They do carry many other item include caviar.

I traveled to Ketchikan in May of 2023 and came across Salmon Etc. It's a smaller store but they are incredibly knowledgeable about the products they sell. They provided samples of all their smoked products and the manager Garrett even opened up other products for us try. He was also very accommodating and personable to my autistic son who loves fish, he explained all the differences between the salmon to him. Ended up buying a case of the Fancy Smoked Sockeye and he shipped to us for free. Best Salmon we had in Alaska. If you go to Ketchikan go to Salmon Etc.

Please support local businesses in Alaska! Our family stopped in Ketchikan during our Alaskan cruise (Disney) in August 2018. I am so happy that we stumbled upon this shop near the port. The clerk was so personable and knowledgable about salmon and Alaska. Who knew we could buy so many types of salmon! It made for the best gifts for our family and friends back home. All of it was delicious. As for supporting local businesses... most of the shops facing the cruise ships in the port are owned by the cruise companies themselves. Salmon Etc (and many other businesses around there) support the local families who live in Ketchikan year round. I highly recommend this shop not only for that reason, but because they have the best selection of salmon around.

This place was recommended to us by a friend who has shopped here so we checked out this place and another store down the street but we came back here, mainly because of our friend's recommendation and two because the other place was hard pressuring us to buy things. I tried a sample of the salmon pate and it was good! Then they offered to give us a $1 off each can of smoked sockeye salmon so we bought a whole case of 24 and had it shipped for $20 and brought the pate and salmon dog treats home with us. We have yet to receive the shipment but it takes 5-7 business days. So we should be getting it this week. They are friendly and don't pressure you to buy anything.

Great little place. Every place in Ketchikan has the same box. Good 2 for 1 specials.

My husband and I are avid oyster lovers and when I saw this as an excursion choice I knew we had to go! Pick-up from the dock was easy and since we were the first tour, it was just us and one other person! Everyone from our driver, the capt, and staff at Hump Island were so welcoming, friendly, and informative about the area. With our group being so small, it felt more intimate and enjoyable. Our boat ride was great to and from Hump Island because our captain made sure to show us around and we were able to catch glimpses of bald eagles and whales! Once we arrived to Hump Island Oyster Co we were greeted and given such detail about the process at the farm. Our kids got to enjoy their touch tank and even spotted some jellyfish! Once upstairs, we enjoyed raw and charbroiled oysters along with some amazing salsas and sauces. The whole experience reminded my husband and I of that of wine tasting, but with oysters. Conversation flowed and the laid back atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable. It was magical being in this part of Alaska and enjoying fresh oysters shucked right in front of us and grown right there. Thank you, Hump Island Oyster Co! We look forward to making our way back in the future and can't recommend this tour enough to others on cruises or visiting Ketchikan!

Once inside, you place your order at the counter and are seated afterward. One thing to note: if you're a smaller party and the restaurant is busy, you may be seated with other guests. It felt a little unusual at first, but it wasn't a big deal. My husband ordered the Dungeness crab, and I went with the Alaska Sampler, which features three different types of fish served fish-and-chips style. The fries are their signature mesquite-seasoned fries, and honestly, they worked perfectly with the seafood. As someone currently working on a YouTube video about our Alaska cruise experience, I can honestly say this was some of the best fish and chips I had during our trip. My husband also loved his crab and said the meat was incredibly fresh, tender, and flavorful. They don't sell alcohol at the ordering counter, but once you're seated, there's a small bar in the back where you can purchase drinks. We tried the Double Shovel Appalanche Cider and absolutely loved it. Overall, aside from the communal seating, we really enjoyed our experience. I especially appreciated their unique take on fish and chips. Being originally from Cape Cod, I take my seafood pretty seriously, and this place definitely delivered!

The place is bigger than it looks as there are two dining areas. You order and pay at the counter. We went overboard and ordered three entrees of fish and chips because that's what they feature. Deep-fried Salmon, DF Cod, and DF Halibut. Plus, we tried their Smoked Salmon chowder. Cod was the best, Salmon was weird, and Halibut was good. The fries and chowder were also decent. Overall, we had a fine meal but nothing really stood out as outstanding.
