It's graduation season and this place was hopping on a Saturday night. In addition to private parties, the place was also open to all other walk in groups. Live band performers added to the everybody's party atmosphere. I'm personally not a huge fan of the frenetic crowd it it was not drunk rowdy, just people enjoying the night. Got a few dishes to share : - fried Shanghai lumpia - hot and fresh 8/10 - Bangus sisig was very good - deboned flesh mixed in with onions and green and red bell peppers plus citrus dressing 10/10 would get again - shrimp sinigang was hearty and filled with vegetables (long bean, okra, eggplant and mustard greens) plus very large shrimp - lechon kawali or deep fried pork was disappointing- although the skin side was still tender with a good crunch, the pork itself was overly dry and not enjoyable- 3/10 -ended the meal with halo halo - iconic shaved ice, sweetened beans, nata, milk, scoop of Ube ice cream and delicious Leche flan- you get one free when you order two! 3% surcharge on card payment Plus 20% service charge automatically added. I visited The Noypitz Bar and Grill last year for Mother's Day. Fast forward to a year and a half later, my mom and I were in the area and decided to come back for lunch. It looks like they under new management based on the large sign displayed above their bar counter. We arrived right when they opened on Saturday. Considering it was a weekend, we were surprised that there weren't many people. The restaurant was quite dark, and there were only two other booths occupied besides ours. I'm not sure if they get busier during the evening hours when they have live music performances. For this lunch, we ordered their Karę Karę ($24), their Miki Bihon ($22) and three scoops of white rice ($6). Karę Karę is one of my favorite Filipino dishes, so I had high expectations for this dish. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed that it came with very little sauce. The best part of Karę Karę is the peanut butter sauce. I love putting the sauce on top of white rice. Seeing this dish with such little sauce was quite a letdown. On the positive side, they did put several chunks of meat, which was nice, but I found the meat to be a bit tough and think it could've been cooked longer to become more tender. The Miki Bihon was a bit better. It had lots of silky long noodles that was topped with variety of meats (chicken, pork, fishballs) and lots of vegetables. I liked this noodle dish more than the Karę Karę. Overall, it was an okay lunch but our previous visit during Mother's Day seemed to be a better experience. I'm not sure if the change in management affected the atmosphere, the crowd or the dishes themselves, but the experience just didn't feel the same. read more

I came here on a Saturday evening since I saw that they have kwek kwek and that I have been craving for this. I was a little disappointed. It tastes like the oil they used was old you can taste it from the rest of the food we ordered like crispy pata and the Calamares as well. Also the crispy binagoongan, the meat was so hard like they just preheated this. At least I can say the ginataang sitaw with shrimp was decent. I wanted to complain because it's pricey there and I wasn't happy with the food. We didn't even take our left overs to go. Flagging down staff to add items to our order was also difficult. My advice: don't come here starving. Order everything you think you'll want when your server first comes by because getting additional items later can be challenging. This review is based on a private event I recently attended. My GodMom decided this was the place to celebrate her birthday. As far as I know, all she did was take a headcount of attendants, assign them to tables, then informed the staff how many to expect and what she wanted (food, decor, music, etc.) Staff took care of everything from there and yes - it was a success. I came for my aunt's 70th birthday, and let me tell you--the food was hella good! It was an extensive Filipino buffet, and overall, the spread was impressive. However, there was a funny mishap in the kitchen--someone put out cold, uncooked mozzarella sticks, haha. Despite that, the buffet had everything you could want: mozzarella sticks, egg rolls (lumpia), rice, garlic rice, noodles (pancit), pinakbet, fried fish, pork adobo, pork liempo (grilled pork), fried chicken, chicken curry, kare-kare, beef steak, lechon, fried bananas, and all the typical side fixings like vinegar, banana ketchup, sweet and sour sauce, and sweet chili sauce. I ATE EVERYTHING The venue itself was cuuute--so pretty, and they usually have a live band that adds to the lively atmosphere. Came here for lunch to celebrate my cousin's birthday. It's more of an event venue, rather than a restaurant. They serve traditional Filipino food, family style. We had the grilled platter and the bbq platter with appetizers. Both were delicious. The only thing that would make it even better and give it that extra umph is if they served covered the platter with banana leaves. The servers were so attentive, and even put my cousins name on the projector wishing him a happy birthday. My family and I had a great time here, and recommend the place for bigger groups. This place charges 20% extra on your bill if it is on a night they have a live band playing. None of the staff communicated this to us when we first walked in or anytime during our meal. It was only mentioned at the end when the bill came and said the notice was on a small sign behind the front desk. During our dinner, the band was doing their sound track and I found it too loud and distracting. I couldn't even talk with my companions during dinner because it was obnoxiously loud. Came on a Saturday for lunch, it happened to be just after their breakfast buffet, so the place wasn't super busy. First thing we noted was that there was butcher paper on top of the white tablecloths and the one we were seated at had crumbs and were wrinkled in some places (indicating condensation from water cups).. so they were clearly used.. which was kind of gross. Then we noted how awkward the ordering process was for people who aren't familiar with Filipino cuisine. There's a big picture menu (with no prices) & a paper menu where you write in your order. So if you're trying to calculate how much your meal will be, you keep having to go back and forth between the two menus. Also, neither menu had descriptions of what each item was.. so we were googling most things or asked the server. So just the ordering process itself was time consuming & a bit frustrating. We ended up getting the fried rice, beef stew, & a vegetable dish. The fried rice and vegetable dish were pretty good, but not a fan of the flavor of the beef stew & the meat was a little chewy and not "melt in your mouth" like you would expect with a stew. Service was a bit slow. Oh, & there's a 3% surcharge for using credit cards (one of my biggest pet peeves). It was my first time dining here for an event with my relatives. This place is huge! They have two separate dining areas divided by an open bar. One side has a stage for performances. It definitely is perfect for big gatherings and events. We got served several dishes including stable Filipino dishes like the pancit, lumpia, sisig, kare-kare and lechon. Came here for dinner on a weeknight. We were seated promptly. Place is clean and well-maintained. We started with lumpia shanghai and calamari for our starters. For our mains we ordered garlic rice, pancit canton, sisig, lechon kawali, and chopsuey. Lumpia Shanghai- This was a perfect way to start the meal. The lumpia was nice and crispy outside and packed with soft and flavorful meat filling. It was served with sweet chili sauce that paired well. Calamari- This was also fried to perfection. The breading was wonderfully seasoned with a hint of smokiness and the interior was the right amount of chewy. Garlic Rice- This is a nice base to the rest of the dishes. The crispy garlic chips were generous and the rice was soft and fluffy. Pancit Canton- The egg noodles were soft and chewy and it was heaped with a savory sauce. There were plenty of vegetables and fish cakes mixed in too. Sisig- The flavor and seasoning was on point but I would have loved to get a bit more crisp on the meat. It needed a longer sear. Lechon Kawali- This was the group favorite! It was perfectly crispy and flavorful. Served with a side of delicious liver sauce. This dish did not survive to be leftovers. Chopsuey- A nice veggie dish to balance out all the meat items we ordered. The vegetables had a slight crunch which was lovely. Serving was little for the price. 5/10 Halo halo was a little disappointing for the price. The ice cream and flan topping were so small and the bananas were so hard. I could get a much better halo halo somewhere else for cheaper price. Not gonna order that again. Overall, the ambiance is nice and place clean but i can just imagine on a crowded night, tables are too close to each other. Also, review your receipt for additional charges especially if you use a credit card. They gave us the receipt of another table so just review always. It's still a good place to go to. There isn't a completely separate area for parties so you hear all the music, MC, and etc while you're trying to eat. It was very difficult to have a conversation with the person I was eating with. I wish they put some on the dish platter and gave you a side of the sauce instead. It was also a struggle to cut it. This new location is very different from the old one. The vibe is different and it's fun. It was a full house when we went on a Fri evening but plenty of seating space esp on the outside. The band already started their first set. We asked the server to try to move us closer to the area of the stage, even though they were super busy, one if the staff remembered and moved us. Large selection of good Filipino food, all freshly prepared, with above average prices, served in an empty huge banquet type hall. Noypitz is probably the best known Filipino restaurant chain in the SoCal area, with locations in Little Tokyo (DTLA), West Covina, Rancho Cucamonga, two in Las Vegas, and this one in Long Beach (which was moved from its former location in Cerritos). They closed the location in Cerritos a while back, and the grand opening of this location was in early Nov '24. It takes up a large space in the Long Beach Towne Center mall. The mall is old style with a lot of smaller buildings cobbled together, all with large parking lots. The businesses are varied, mostly retail, meaning there is plenty of parking for the restaurants. We came on a Friday, right after it opened at 11 am. It is beautiful inside, completely remodeled with a banquet hall with live stage and large bar taking up most of the space. It also has private rooms, and two different areas of outdoor dining. It is meant to be hopping at night, but they also choose to be open during the day at this location, serving the full menu with full portions. For a limited time for the grand opening, they are offering 20% off all dine-in food during lunch hours (M-F; 11 - 3). We were the first customers, seated a little after they opened, and were able to take advantage of it. The menu is presented like a dim sum restaurant, where you can mark with pencil the items you want. It's an interesting way to do it, since each item is full portion and are not cheap. Everything is a la carte. Remembering the last couple of times we've been to their other locations, I didn't want to get something my wife is able to make easily at home. So got the following: Grilled Tuna Collar ($25) - I've gotten this three times now at Noypitz locations, which is the only place I know around that serves it. The half-piece was better than the last time, when it was served half-raw. This time, the chef had grilled it over an open flame, and made sure the heat reached the inner parts. It was expertly done, served with a side of the soy sauce based marinade that it had been based with while cooking. You are at the mercy of how big the tuna was, and this time it was decent size. Cajun Shrimp ($25) - Probably a dozen large head-on shrimp, cooked in a cajun garlic butter sauce. The taste of the sauce is very similar to Viet-Cajun seafood boil restaurants, and was quite good. It came with a few potatoes and cobbettes of corn. As for the shrimp, it's large but not great quality. Some of the meat was OK, but some were inedible because it was so mealy...some of it literally crumbed in my hand as I was trying to peel it. 3 scoops of white rice ($6.50) - Rice is extra here. Service was fine. They also tack on a 3% charge if using credit card, so using cash will save you a little money. Because it was so empty, the server came only to service our table, so there were pockets of time when we needed something (like water refills), and had to wait a bit. By the time we left 90 minutes later, a second couple had come to eat lunch. Not sure if this location was mimic the downtown location, where they have a sunday seafood filipino buffet. Would definitely try that if it comes. read more

Visited Noypitz several times during their stay in the city of Cerritos. My wife and our relatives were fans of the various music events they hosted at Noypitz. It was an awesome venue to showcase talented individuals (especially Filipino singers). It was great to have a nice Filipino cuisine meal while enjoying watching the shows. We've also tried the breakfast buffets that they had on Sundays. It was a good selection of fresh and hot Filipino food, and the price wasn't too high either.
