I've been going to Amber well I should say I've been to Amber once she did a great job on my hair, but since then she has canceled four times she then tries to reschedule after the event that I needed it for that was Thanksgiving and now Christmas. I am extremely frustrated because I waited for my appointment today at two and then she said she couldn't do it till later because the customer came in late and she went ahead and did her hair and then moved mine up, which I have my whole day planned and so I had to be somewhere at 3:30. Update: 20 k tips have fallen out in less than 3 weeks. Disappointed in the K-tip extensions I received. More disappointed in the customer service after. 4 fell out in 12 days. I've had ktips installed five times prior with a great stylist in Florida and never had them fall out- that's good work; this wasn't. The bonds were large and rubbed my glasses; she also didn't do a trim to blend them like my girl back home would do. Two calls and a text went unanswered before I got the owner involved, who wasn't pleasant, so I had to show how unpleasant I can get in order to get reimbursed for a portion of the install fee. This was $1500, plus $100 to pull out old bonds, plus a 20% tip. Ask to see the bonds and rows of prior clients before you get work done- anyone can show you a photo of the back of someone's head and say they know how to do a proper install. read more

I hate the cut I received. My bangs look terrible, and the more I asked the stylist to try to fix them, the worse they got. I explained how my cowlick would affect the bang shape, and she still did not understand how to accommodate it. At one point during the cut my bangs were extremely crooked, and when I pointed this out to the stylist, she said, "Well, you need to tell me." However, I think that a professional stylist should be able to see when bangs are very crooked. The overall hair shape is not good as well. Despite telling the stylist I air dry and wear my hair with its natural texture, the cut looks awkward and is difficult to manage with my normal texture. I tried my best to communicate with the stylist what I wanted, but I feel like she did not understand what I wanted. I've had this cut executed well by other stylists at different salons and this is the first time it has turned out so poorly. The worst part is that it's too short to fix right now. I feel ripped off after spending $72. read more

I had a scheduled full foil on Saturday 2/22/25 with Amber out of the South Hill WA salon. A little hair back story for you: My hair is mildly compromised, as it has previous lightener in very few spots and also box dye, leaving my hair a level 7 brassy red tone. The stylist from the moment i walked in the salon and she asked my name, she knew i would be her client. You could then see the immediate distain in her face. It was clear she did not want to spend time doing a full foil with lightener on me. She looked at my hair briefly, stating that it was to damaged to bleach. She said that she would need to cut at least 2 inches off of my ends, which i agreed to. She then said even with the cut and a $60 upcharge that she did not feel comfortable working on my hair. She said she would need me to sign a waiver to relieve her of any responsibility should something go wrong. I agreed to signing this waiver, no problem. I advised the stylist that i have been through cosmetology school and i was aware of any potential damage the bleach could cause. I told her that my hair would lift easily and all she would need to do is keep an eye on the packets. She then "searched" for the waiver for 10 plus minutes, although it appeared that she was only shuffling papers around in a drawer. She came back saying she didn't know where the waiver was, but that she wasn't going to do my hair. She never offered me a strand test to see what my hair can handle, she never offered for a more experienced stylist to come look at my hair to give a second opinion, she never offered any alternative solutions for me. She made up her mind from the moment i walked into that salon that she wasn't going to do my hair. I left her chair right after she refused service, letting her know i would go to a salon who was willing to put the work in. And that's exactly what i ended up doing. I got an amazing full foil and a little trim that turned out beautiful, and was around $75 less then what Salon Cerna was going to charge me. I would not recommend to anyone to go to this salon. Your stylists are very unfriendly and the salon is unwelcoming to say the least. read more

I will forever direct everyone I know to this place. When my mother was sick, she could not remember the name of her hairstylist but she needed a haircut desperately. I called this place. Not only did they remember my mother, they remembered who cuts her hair. My mom was too sick to get up the stairs to the salon, so the woman came to the house, chatted with my mom, gave her an amazing cut, and then refused to take money. My mom was so happy, and almost felt like herself again. My mother passed soon after. I will always be grateful to this salon. I went to the South Hill Mall location and have been trying to grow out my hair. I requested the back get left and the sides get trimmed slightly to reduce volume. That's it. The back of my hair was butchered taking off random lengths some spots being over 3in, the left side by my ear was nearly shaven and the right side was almost an inch long. They couldn't even bother to shave the peach fuzz off my neck after butchering months of progress trying to grow it out. Don't go here unless THEY pay YOU to cut it. read more

Please be careful going to this salon! It broke my hair off in pieces. I use salon professional products to wash my hair leave in conditioner all salon products. I just cut 5 inch off and was ready to go for an ash blonde look. This is what I ended up with. When I expressed my concerns to the manager, she agrees to fix it. So I show up on time she's running late by 10 min. She fixes my hair color which I'm grateful for. But when I express my concerns about all the damage she simple says," Their products wouldn't cause that sort of damage.! Bleach is bleach on top of toner. I found Salon Cerna online and messaged them for a quote to get my hair dyed. They were so fast on responding and directing a stylist to me to get my questions answered. Heather reached out to me and I told her I did not want to bleach my hair and she really worked around it and listened to me and gave me suggestions. Came here for the first time today. The Salon is a crowded space though there were only 3 of us in there making social distancing possible. My main complaint, and actually the complaint of my stylist was the lighting. The lighting is absolutely horrid. The track lights have bright white bulbs (and at least one of them was burned out above the seat I was in) and then there are some yellow lights as well. I actually walked out of the salon not actually knowing just how dark my hair was because of the poor lighting. My stylist told me I'd be able to see how rich the brown was when I got into natural light. It is not. It's very dark. Not at all pleased with the experience. read more

I'd had a really horrible experience at a different salon previous to my first visit here. A girl at the tanning salon i go to had a really cute cut. I needed some hair extensions removed and wasn't going back to the same place where the girl had LITERALLY chopped my hair off, so she told me to see her girl, Jessica, at Salon Cerna. She was pretty good at keeping the conversation flowing, but I guess I was feeling too relaxed and comfortable to pay attention to what she was doing to my hair. She had to remove my hair extensions and put 5 strands back into the same place because my hair hadn't yet grown to the right length, but then they had to be placed closer to my scalp due to regrowth. She used the same extensions I came in with that had been attached to my natural hair. The clamps were no longer usable, so she replaced them (5, mind you) with white clamps. My hair is dark brown...almost black! Why on earth would she use white clamps? Not only that, but she didn't place 3 of them flat against my scalp, so they popped out of the top of my head like cowlicks. I was having my blonde peek-a-boos over my ears touched up. They were blonde in most areas with hot spots all over. I text to have her fix them before my trip to Vegas, and she told me she'd get back to me with an appointment time but never did. I messaged her again on Facebook, and she completely ignored me while responding to other clients. Also, she charged me $180 to reset 5 strands of short hair extensions I came in with, a trim, and peek-a-boo touch-up. Mind you, my hair is super short...not even shouler-length. The Salon is very nice and well put together. The staff seems nice,the lady that did my hair was very nice. I had my hair colored there and was very happy with the results. There was a little hick up with my hair not wanting to take the color in because my hair is so black. She would not let me go until she was satisfied with the color showing up which I can really appreciate since she had to work through her lunch break. I've been going to see Priscilla for 7 years now. I love the friendly atmosphere and how the whole staff gets to know you. They all have great personalities and have definitely mastered their craft. Priscilla does my highlights, low lights and touches up my grey roots. My hair looks beautiful and I look and feel younger when she's done. Recently, I had her do a Brazilian Blow out to my curly hair. Wow!! Now I can have straight hair that stays straight even when its humid, rains or I sweat. Of course, all the other hair stylists that work there are just as amazing. I'd recommend her for lashes as well. This was my first visit to the Salon and I was super nervous because I was so unhappy with my hair cut and color from another Salon and I was worried about the results. I picked Linda Jonas out from the Bio info on the Website and she was awesome and we talked about what I wanted from my hair and she knew exactly what to do. The results were stunning and it got the husband approval right away. Just be careful. I had my hair done here, and I've been in tears ever since. I've never had my hair turn out so horrible - it's green! They were more than willing to fix it for me. I made an appointment but had to cancel it due to pain and ultimately surgery. They have a two week window, which neither my mom or I were made aware of. I completely understand the policy because anyone could be dishonest and do something to their hair in that time frame. Unfortunately, they never made us aware of the two week window once we mentioned how unhappy we were with my hair. I feel that information was intentionally withheld. However, I was recovering from my surgery in that two week time frame. So I tried to reschedule my appointment today, but was told it would be regular charge ($200+) - more than my mom and I have ever paid for my hair, because it's been longer than two weeks. This was a birthday present from my mom, to me, and we've never paid this much before. We took a chance on a salon and are regretful we did. Needless to say, I am so upset and have to find a new salon, again, and walk around with green hair until then. I never thought this would happen to me. Just be wise, be careful. read more

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HAIR RUINED!!! I stopped by the salon and Linda scheduled me in with her. I was worried of coming to a new salon and Linda assured me she had years of color experience and knew what I wanted. I had asked for a long layered cut and a multi-colored brunette balayage leaving my natural lite blonde as highlights. Linda ruined my hair! She hacked into my hair cutting the sides and making a "V" in my hairline. She offered to bring up the length to match the sides and I lost alot of hair. She did not know how to do a balayage. She dyed all my hair making it a mucky dark brown mess! I was in tears and didn't want to walk out looking like that! She didn't have time to fix it and needed to rescheduled me to come back. Told her I had to call her when I got home and could see my work hours. I called several times and left message with no return calls. I went into the salon and told she was on vacation. The salon refuses to honor their work. told me I needed to wait for Linda to get back from vacation after the holidays. Ended up at another salon for repairs. The cut was so bad she had to trim another couple of inches to even things out. Had to have the color bleached out and redyed. The salon refuses to reimburse me. read more
