Even though some of the shaping was a bit crooked after I asked my technician to fix it, they were minor details and the overall look is still great. Okay so this review is ONLY for the hair side of this place. Charlie/Anh Lay has been cutting my hair for a little over 10 years. He moves around quite a bit so if you get a chance to have him do your hair remember to get his cell number and text him when you want to book an appointment. Just in case 1) he's traveling (which he does a lot because he's the preferred hairstylist for most Vietnamese celebrities when they're traveling and doing their shows) or 2) he has moved onto a different salon. He's super fun, respectful and amazing at what he does! Any time that I have gotten lazy or impatient by not waiting for him and gone to someone else who was closer to my house or more convenient for me their work somehow always ended up falling short of what I have come to expect when I go to Charlie to get my hair cut. For one I have long naturally wavy hair that I then curl every other day to add some more definition. I always ask for the same "long layered". And I don't know what it is but the way Charlie cuts it- you can see all the layers not only when it's done but for weeks to come the layers are still perfect. In addition the way he cuts your layers it adds volume to your hair. It's kind of hard to describe but you just have to trust that he knows what he's doing. ALSO, I have noticed that I would get tons of compliments for days after I go to Charlie- when I go to other places people hardly noticed and assumed I just got a trim. A hair cut for me is $60 before tip. I know other places in the area typically charges $30 -$40. It's CASH only. read more

I was the first customer that came when they opened & Van got started on my pedi immediately. She was sweet, accommodating, & attentive to details. I had the regular pedicure + french tip + callus removal = $27. The hot stone was an awesome touch! My chair kept making noises (the first chair) so I had to turn it off when it started to get loud and then turn it back on again. That was a little annoying! My pedicure started to chip the next day even though I did not do anything strenuous. Manicure: Acrylic + gel + coffin shape = $40. Around 1030, Lee came in and she got started on my acrylics after Van finished my pedi. She was getting started taking off my previous polish but then had another customer come in and left me. I didn't stress it as I was still good on time so I just waited. It started to get too long and my time was seriously on a crunch. The person that came in after me had her gel removed and acrylics filled and left before I did, even though I came first. She did apologize and I understood as it was understaffed but I still find it unfair that my time was the cost when I am the paying customer. Moving on from the matter, after Lee finished my acrylics I liked them but she left SO much space from the acrylic to skin. I basically look like I need a fill even though I just had my nails done. I was very peeved off about that but because I was in such a rush to leave I just left it as is. I finally finished around 12:30pm! I came in at 9:30am as the first customer and every one else after me had finished first and left before me. I found that extremely ridiculous. After waiting here 20 minutes later... Got my cut for $55 even though the website stated $25+. So it was a slight surprise for the area. Now after washing and drying my hair there's a flip to it. It is a blunt cut with no taper. It looked fine in the salon, but that's after flat ironing. My hair looks very square and boring. I am YouTubing on how to put my own layers in. Tried flat ironing and still not happy. For my 9 year old daughter who has long hair, her cut was $35. It looks good but again, the website says $8+. I had my nails done (almond shaped French ombre) by Tammy, who was fabulous! She mixes her own powders and used CND so they won't yellow as fast. At the end when Tammy used the Island Girl scented cuticle oil she put some on my mom too! Found my new favorite salon!!! Decor, ambience, quality, and customer service were all top notch! I made an appointment through their website which was pretty easy and straight to the point. So I called at about 12 asking if Kelly was available around 545-6. They kindly said they could squeeze me in! YAY GREAT! I came in and the place is warm cozy and clean. They offer you water and other drinks while you're waiting. I told her I needed a fill and to be sure to make it as natural as possible with almond shaped and I also told her I had gel builder on. She suggested the gel dip powder method to be better because it will be a much faster, and wouldn't burn my original finger nails. I love this cute little nail salon My cousin called to make an appointment for her and I on that Friday to get our nails done. They were more than happy to have us in that Friday with no problem.
