The salon I used to get my pedicures has unfortunately closed and I decided to stop by Salon De Manucure when I was passing by on my way home and saw it in a little plaza with plenty of parking. When I walked in I was nicely greeted, they were a little busy but the salon is really big, everyone was spaced more than 6 feet apart and wearing masks (Trust me I've walked in and right back out when I've gone to places that don't abide by this) They didn't have availability to squeeze me in when I walked in, which was understandable, so I made an appt for a gel pedi the following day. My experience the next day- I had nice conversation with some of the staff while I waited for a technician to finish with her client and was informed that they had a recent ownership change. Everyone was really nice and attentive while I was there. A new removable/disposable foot tub liner was placed at my salon chair and they asked what color I wanted out of their TONS of options. I usually just do a simple white gel pedi and Jasmine gave me literally one of the best pedicures I've had ever. The freshest white toes, can't tell me anythinggg They have sugar scrubs and I suggest the upgrade, I feel like my legs are so smooth and exfoliated. Came in for the first time about a month ago because I was looking to find a new shop closer to home. The girl who I believe to be the owner is super sweet and friendly, but the service I received was lacking. My toes turned out pretty good, but my hands turned out just mediocre. They started lifting a couple days short of a week, but I chalked it up to them doing a fill over my old grown out nails. I came back a second time because I liked the customer service of the front desk to give them a second shot, but even after getting a fresh new full set, they began to lift and separate and one of my nails broke while slipping on some shoes. Pretty upsetting because I was only 4 days in! and these were my natural nails... I can even feel them lifting/bending in the center of the nail, like the product is not attached to my natural nail properly. I called to make an appointment for them to trim down my nails and fix them, but the annoyance of having paid well over $100 and having to set more time out of my day to come back in outweighed a third shot. (My nails haven't even grown out for a fill yet but I am left with a broken nail/lifting nails on a holiday weekend, might I add!) Both times I tried to trust the process of the nail technicians because it was so different from my normal nail technician, but turns out their technique and/or lack of experience is the issue. That's what I get for cheating on my nail technician. I wish I could drop her name and location in the review because she is fire! I guess I'm going back to driving 30 minutes to and from so my nails will look even and won't break and fall off. Two stars for the front desk, but that's not what I'm paying for, I'm paying to have my nails done to last a decent amount of time, especially for that price. read more

Today, I got my gel manicure fixed by Ly. What can I say? EVERYTHING went exceptionally well. Ly did an amazing job with the manicure. Even though I wanted just the left hand fixed, he insisted on doing both hands and I am so glad he did. They look so good now (see new photos). The music was quieter today as well, more people in the salon and I actually appreciated the unconventional glam pop vibe. I tried this salon for the first time today and I'm glad I did! I called yesterday to see if they had any availability today and Anna was very sweet and accommodating and was able to get me in. Anna welcomed me when I walked in with so much warmth and sat me at a station right away. Mara did my bio gel manicure and it is definitely one of the best I have ever gotten. She was so precise, attentive, and took her time to make sure everything looked right. Most places I feel like they are rushing to get to the next client but not here -- the whole experience was relaxing and wonderful. This salon is absolutely the worst and the owner has no regard that her employees are not capable to do nails properly. My sister got a gel manicure which was absolutely fine. I got a pedicure which was absolutely fine as well. Now the problem comes to my acrylic fill. The first time the girl did the fill, the set was completely lumpy and uneven. I showed the girl doing the set and she agreed she messed up so then she proceeded to re do my nails - further wasting another hour. She then proceeded to cut me 5x and did the set in an absolute rush. I showed my nails after to the owner and the cuts who then proceeded to state that she can offer me a 10% off on my acrylic fill. Are you joking? 10% off on a pathetic looking full. You should have refunded me in full for that fill. The fill was so bad that I ended up going to another salon the very next day to get my nails removed completely and another set put on. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS FOR ACRYLIC NAILS read more

My gel nails chipped after three days. I called to see if they could redo them. They could, for $5 per nail! Ridiculous.

UPDATE & CLARIFICATION : The infection is not from the tools, but from the person cutting my toe herself. I have developed pus and it's completely painful. I do want to mention that Miriam was very nice, but my technician did an extremely painful job. I didn't mention anything there, because this pain began 30 minutes after the appointment. - I hate to leave bad reviews, but I wanted to inform others to avoid the situation. I loved the ambiance of the salon and how welcoming it was, however subsequent to my pedicure, my big toe received a giant infection. It's to the point where it is painful to walk... I didn't catch the name of my nail technician, but I remember her having bangs. Also, she was consistently mentioning how short my nails are and laughing about it to her other coworker -- consistently -- which made me a bit uncomfortable. I wish I had a better review, because this salon does look very hard-working and being a receptionist at a nail salon before, I know how hard-working everyone is. read more

The main reason I chose this place was because it had a parking lot. The nail technician commented on my cutles multiple times and cut me twice. I am usually fairly easygoing, but it was painful. I think she was trying to go against my natural nail shape and seemed annoyed that they weren't aesthically perfect. It is less than a week & they are completely falling off. I got gel & I have been careful with washing dishes, not being too rough, etc. I have had gel last me a month in the past. I think the whole experience was rude & unpleasant. I don't like the write bad reviews, but I wouldn't want others to be cut. read more

Sadly the quality of nail service just isn't there for this place. To be clear, the owner / manager is lovely and the girls are all nice and the place is clean but my friend and I got gel nails and unfortunately, for my friend, it looked liked an amateur did her nails. The edges near the cuticle bed were completely uneven and on mine, my thumbnail was lumpy from uneven coats which is a rookie mistake in gel application. I got light pink and because of the uneven coats, I got that weird see through uneven look. However, mine was not enough to complain. My friend, however, came out looking like a 10 year old painted her nails and for Gel that's even worse since you have to live with it for at least a couple of weeks. We politely told both the tech and owner that it wasn't up to quality and they very nicely tried to make it right but that included a longer wait and because we didn't have time to take off the polish and redo it all, she started filing the nail beds which made it worse. And two weeks later, they are completely chipped. I think what would have made it better was offering a discount because gel is expensive and the reason you get gel is to last long and look perfect, neither of these happened. The owner told us that next time we can request another person, but I don't think we'd ever come back and risk that. It was more frustrating because they didn't offer to compensate and charge for the type of service (which was obviously sub par) then tried to blame the uneven lines on the shortness of the nail... Which I don't think makes any sense because the issue was with the lines near the nail bed and I had the same length and got the same color and did not have that issue. All that to say, doing nails is an art, especially when doing gel and it's so important to have a qualified person do your nails! I hope they can get better technicians in the future. This post isn't meant to be mean or detrimental but rather for the people who spend money on gel nails and want to make sure they get a solid use out of them because it's not the cheapest! We got the nails done 7/17 and this is just under a week later on 7/23 -- it's chipping, the lines aren't even, at this point, a normal mani at half the price would have been better. read more
