I still love Stacie and think she is an exceptional stylist and cuts my hair better than almost anyone, but the constant turnover in colorists, the absolute downgrade in staff and hassle to book coordinating appointments was just too much for me anymore. I'm a business professional who travels and works 80-100 weeks; I have enough trouble with my own schedule. I have very thick, naturally wavy and curly hair, so I'm VERY picky about who cuts it. I did some research, and found some great feedback on Salon DiSegno. They were able to get me in that July weekend a year ago, and I couldn't be happier. Professional, exceptional cuts and the best color I've ever had in my life. They don't shove product on you, and booking is easy! I can't recommend this place enough. They have a wonderful referral program, and if you sign up for emails, you get some truly spectacular specials, They use Redken products and colors, including Pureology. I have gone to 2 different locations for a total of 3 times. This place just sucks. I have long hair and they can never cut it straight. I come in with a picture of what I want that will be easy to maintain on my own and it never comes close to comparison. It's nothing complicated, just a couple layers and no color. One time, I went to another location after the original salon closed and a young girl had just put on long fake nails. She could not even wash my hair because of them. The cut was even worse. My guess is this is a place they hire people right out of school with little experience. $63 FOR A HAIRCUT!! This was my second time going. The first time they did a good job and it was a decent price. This time I had about 12 inches cut off and the cut is fine but they use interns to style your hair after and the intern did not know what she was doing and then they charged me $63 FOR A HAIRCUT!!! On their website it says their top price for a haircut is only $58 yet somehow mine was $63. I asked about it and they just shrugged their shoulders and said "it will be $63." It was finally time for a haircut. I looked on Yelp and this place had pretty good ratings. I called and made an appointment and they were able to fit me in on the same day, which was really nice. There are several different locations. It was pretty expensive just to get a hair cut. But the hairstylist that cut my hair was really nice and she cut my hair the way I wanted it. I'm glad this place does not try to push you to buy products like some places to. They shampoo, condition, and cut your hair. And also style it afterwards. I waited roughly 30 min after my appointment because she was helping another client, but Brittney apologized and was very friendly at first. When she did my makeup it was 5 o'clock ( they closed at 6 for New Years) , she was rushing and running everywhere. She had already told me she didn't have plans that night so I didn't understand why she was rushing. I didn't feel like I had her full effort or attention. When it was time to do my hair, she was going to charge me $30 to put in my clip in hair extensions ( I wish they told me that over the phone when I called asking if they would work with my extensions). Had a crappy experience here, it was my second time and I had an appt scheduled at 1:30 with Hannah. She was with another client and tried to juggle both of us at the same time. She even had the front desk lady dry my hair and then gave me a dry haircut? I'm not paying $42 to get a dry haircut and then you can't give me a blowout because my hair is dry and frizzy by the end. Hands down, Jacelyn is the best! I've lived in the area for nearly 3yrs and have not been able to find a stylist. I haven't dyed or highlights my hair for over 10yrs. I was extremely nervous in what to expect or even what I really wanted, for that matter. But from the start, Jacelyn was welcoming. She made me feel at ease by taking interest in what I wanted and expected the outcome to be. She also took on consideration my financial concern on the upkeep of coloring my hair, which I GREATLY appreciated. Decided to get a blowout and go as a walk in. A friend recommended the salon since it was close by. Overall, the experience was ok so I rate it 3 stars. The stylist and staff were friendly but I wish I had someone with a little more experience. I gave them a heads up that my hair is very thick and just to make it wavy since it's easier. She assured that she could make it nice and straight so we went for it. As soon as I left the salon and ran my hands through my hair, it still felt wet inside. Also, not even 20 minuted later, it started getting puffy. My stylist said that she has been doing hair for about 1.5 years so I guess it's all about experience and learning on different types of hair. Tip: Keep perfecting those skills. read more

She has never done a horrible job. In reply to Shawn S. The salon takes pride in helping their trainees better themselves and I am willing to bet that I have had the same trainee touch my hair. I have never had a problem. If you were so unhappy you should of said something from the beginning before allowing the trainee to even touch your hair. Didn't want to leave a mean review, so I'll try my best to be nice yet honest. My friend and I found this salon through googling "Natural Hair Salons" and I called to verify that they were capable of working with various (ethnic) textures. They confirmed and scheduled my friend and I to have haircuts. We showed the stylist (which I will not name for sake of reputation out of the kindness of my heart) two photos each and explained important features we wanted from each and made it clear which of us would want which style. The stylist, however, gave my friend the hairstyle I wanted and completely butchered her cut (she wanted a long bang and my style had a very short one). Needless to say, we were not pleased. The style wasn't the only issue. The cuts were very uneven and looked very amateur. The product she used dried out my friends hair. And when it was time for my haircut, she simply trimmed my ends and curled my hair and when I requested for it to be cut shorter (to at least resemble my desired image a LITTLE) I was told that it wouldn't look right and that I should return at a later date because she had another "appointment". We later found out the appointment didn't exist because, AFTER PAYING $58 DOLLARS EACH FOR A TRIM AND BUTCHERED CUT, they closed as soon as we walked out the door. I felt really bad but didn't say anything to spare the feelings of the very nice (at the time) staff. My friend and I left, went to my home, and finished our cuts ourselves. I called the following day to inform management of the situation and we were told that we could receive refunds only if we promised to "not come back", YES THESE WERE THE EXACT WORDS USED. I was shocked but gladly accepted the offer. The staff and management could use some retraining - both with skills and customer care. Very dissatisfied. Do not recommend. Even though my stylist was nice she was one of the "beginner " stylist which was "cheaper" but still pricey and she ended up just doing whatever she wanted. I asked for red and blond highlights mixed. Think she got lazy And she ended up putting blond highlights on underneath bottom section of hair and red highlight on top. Posted a 5 star review when I first came here in July. I went back twice for a haircut and highlight. Each time the cost was pricier and pricier, and I was pitched several hair care products. Last time I went in I requested to have my hair several shades blonder, I even showed pictures. Somehow, I ended up walking out with Taylor Swift ash-blonde hair (miscommunication much??) after an intern (yes an intern or student, I don't know) was the one to apply a toner to my hair - she applied waaay too much and my hair was several shades darker than when I went in. I'm trying to decide if I want to give them another chance, but I'm not sure....how does one ask for bright blonde hair and walk out $200 poorer and with darker hair ??? Next time I'll just use a box dye. This place is good at first, but the use of students and interns to do your hair for huge prices is a bad idea. I was out on a whim needing a last minute appointment for a color correction. They did not hesitate to squeeze me in, and made me aware due to the needs of my hair, it may not be complete in one sitting which was completely understandable! The moment you walk in the door, you're greeted by a beautiful set up in the front, and someone to check you in. I was a bit early for my appointment, but didn't mind the wait. I was greeted by my stylist, Lesly about 5 minutes into waiting. As soon as she brought me to her station, she was all ears for what I wanted. What surprised me the most was she didn't scrub my scalp off! She was gentle throughout the entire process, provided great conversation (as well with the rest of the team!), and even stayed after hours to complete my hair which I was not expecting! You can tell these women and men absolutely adore what they do. They were all hands-on, were there to help their teammates, and provided many laughs! I'm so glad I was able to find this salon, I wish I'd have found them sooner! You won't be disappointed with this salon!! read more

The stylists have all been very good, but it's way overpriced. When I started going, they routinely ran specials for $99 to $119 for cut/color/highlight. I had been going to one stylist exclusively, but she became a more senior stylist. She got an "assistant" who then did everything but the color and cut. I had to pay MORE to have a less experienced person working on my hair, so I stopped booking appointments with her. I went in two months ago because they were offering some free services, and I STILL spent $160!!!! That was more than I've ever spent on a color session, so I'm grateful that some services were free or I would've had to hock my wedding ring to pay. You'll like the way your hair looks, but be prepared to pay through the nose for it. I have found another salon that will do the same services for considerably cheaper. read more

I was a first timer for this salon yesterday and had my appt with Christina. Right when I walked in I was asked by two separate employees if I would like something to drink. From beginning to end the experience was friendly, professional and highly skilled. The stylists work really well together and I felt instantly at ease like I had been going there for years. Christina rocked on my hair and asked great questions on how I style, treat and prefer my hair to look and feel. I am an instant lifer to this place.
