Stylists are like personal physicians. You have to really like them to keep coming back for your appointments. And that's exactly what we were in the hunt for: a stylist that my daughter will really like. She's come at that age when mom's homestyle up-do just isn't good enough anymore. But unfortunately for her, there aren't much salon choices where we live that suits her taste in coiffure. So what's a mom to do? This mom would drive an hour away if it means her daughter will get that haircut she's looking for and just in time for school picture-day! I made some calls and upon a recommendation by a friend, aided by good reviews on Yelp, I called Salon Eric. Knowing I lived an hour away, Eric still accommodated us on the day itself. Megan was the stylist assigned to my daughter. With one look at my daughter's existing haircut, she knew exactly how she would proceed. While Megan worked her magic, Eric was very hospitable, even offering me bottled water. The other ladies were very gracious as well. The outcome of my daughter's haircut was stunning! Megan was able to rectify a bad haircut and turn it into something that my daughter smiles about for days after. Eric and Megan even recommended some highlights. I generally stay away from color applications especially since we have black hair. But Megan was able to make it NOT look tacky at all. Great experience at Salon Eric! Great team! Go here if you want a rushed and choppy haircut, im actually so upset with the outcome of my hair. I when i wanted to speak up about my hair, the hairstylist was adamant about how its not finished yet and it needed to be styled but when she styled it, she styled it so differently. When i washed the style off, i saw how choppy my hair was and how wrong wanted my bangs... i wanted wispy bangs with face framing curtain bangs like the photo but man.. she definitely gave me bangs and lost my self confidence. I spent $230 for a cut and color that i didnt even want. Never coming here again, please dont go here!!!! read more

I've gone here a total of four times for my haircut. I waited awhile to write my review but I enjoy going here. The guy at the front desk is really friendly! I don't think he cuts hair though. They also offer dying your hair, nails and haircuts. I've only gone for my haircut so I only have a review on that. I appreciate that they walk you through the haircut, tell you how short or long would you like and also show you. They make sure you're comfortable with it. They're Vietnamese as most salons are but this is the younger generation and I prefer that as there isn't a huge language barrier and they can understand what type of haircut I'd like. They're get to know you as a person, ask about your life, trips, and etc. feels like talking to family or friends. The only reason they're only getting a 4/5 stars is because when my boyfriend and I had went, I believe it was a new barber that was cutting my boyfriends hair, well he didn't do well. Like at all. My boyfriend said he wanted half of his hair gone. HALF. The guy kept saying "half an inch? Okay" and my boyfriend told him about 4/5 times half the hair, not half an inch. At this point, my boyfriend was frustrated and just took the haircut and paid for it. He went to his regular salon, got the haircut he wanted and for cheaper. My boyfriend was clear on his instructions, I've never seen the guy barber before. I believe the women are a lot better at cutting hair for men and women there. I would not recommend this salon for any chemical treatments. I came in last weekend for a perm. The barber recommended I color also. (My roots were showing) She, Kimberly, said as long as I colored after perming I would be fine. The day after my perm/color the entire top of my head was scabbed up, sore and tender. The scans covered a palm size area. The salon offered me a oil treatment or wash to "fix" my "problem" I declined any further treatment for fear of what would go wrong. I requested a refund, all of which were ignored. read more

Today, me and my niece needed a place to get our hair done last minute and we called a butch of places and they were fully booked. Happily Salon Eric took us in even though it was last minute. Stopped by to get a pedicure while my son's were at Code Ninja and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service! I was greeted at the door and taken to get my feet done by Eric who was very nice and gave me a good massage. He convinced me to get a hair cut.....which I did as my lady is out of the country till thurs. I was a bit nervous, but my hair is a wreck. So I met Michelle who was very professional and gave me a consultation. I loved her ideas, but she wanted to color and highlight my hair. I hesitated, but she seemed trustworthy so I took her suggestions. Plus she looked good and she had great color herself. I'm glad I took her advice! She did such a great job on my color and cut! Her brother Jimmy cut both my sons' hair and they came out ssooooo good they look absolutely handsome. I could tell Jimmy likes to take his time and can really understand my son's hair w his crazy cowlick. Both of my sons (7&9) said he did very well and felt he did much better than our current hair stylist. I'm so happy that I came in and met such wonderful people!
