They told me there was an appointment at 10am already scheduled. I come here at 10:45am, it's closed. And now it is 11am. No one there. Kind of not cool. Was looking forward to donating my hair. I didn't receive an email or phone cancelation either. I confirmed my appointment in the email as well. My advice, if you can't show up, call me or email me. Also, it's especially not cool when it's a hair donation for a kid. I understand life happens, but I drove 1 hr for this. The least you can do is inform me of a cancelation. Also, just to add, I was also getting charged for the cut too. So the stylist was suppose to get paid/tipped.

I had not known that otherwise I would have rejected the appointment. My hair lifts easily, and Haley noted that. Despite that, she used too strong a developer and damaged my hair beyond belief. Not only that. She missed half of my head with toner. She noticed. And didn't tell me. She let me leave the salon with half of my head not toned. It's very noticeable from the back. I didn't see it at the appointment because she didn't show me the back - and now I know why. That's the worst of it, but she also didn't rinse my hair properly, so I still had product dried up and crusty in my hair. And she barely used any product while she blew out my hair on the highest heat, burning my scalp a couple of times and damaging my hair even more. And it was still a bit wet by the time I left. I'm usually pretty relaxed, so I didn't complain until after I went home and noticed that my head wasn't properly toned (which is also not that hard to do, I've done it myself during covid lockdowns - so it really is incredible that she messed up this bad and didn't say anything, hoping I wouldn't notice). Nothing about my experience with Haley was positive. Her work was incredibly sloppy, negligent, and dishonest. Edited to add (in response to Howie, the owner): You know the issue isn't with the toner itself - I did not see that she didn't do the back otherwise I obviously wouldn't have been "pleased". Again, you know this. I have a photo attached. You see how bad it is. I don't know why you're trying to act like that quality of service is okay. I didn't realize Red Chair's standards were so low, and I regret that I gave you all a shot :/ Also, I have to spend the holidays looking like this. So thanks for that.

Andy helped me work out a plan for it and did a cut that gave my fine, very straight hair lots of movement, texture, and style even with my super low maintenance daily routine. It's been a week now since getting it cut, and sometimes when you do that first week (or even first wash) you have a moment where you're like "hey where'd all the cool haircut go, it's just mush again?" NOT SO. This one maintains great movement and texture even with just blow drying it the night before and tossing texturizer in it in the morning (which I got at a discount thanks to their welcome package). I also loved seeing all the different types of neighborhood people around--not just like fancy people getting their hair done but a really wide spectrum from older dudes to younger NB folx and femmes. I paid a lot and tipped very well just for it to look like an amateur cut my hair. Don't come here. I regret coming here as I looked better with my dead ends. I could've cut my own hair better which I have. This was supposed to be a pick me up to make me feel beautiful now 2 days later I am in regret not feeling like how I should and wanted. Sooooo expensive and terrible results. Also they could've been friendlier. I felt she got tired blow drying my hair. They are supposed to be knowledgeable in long, thick hair, curly hair, wavy hair. Adair Davidson has been my hair stylist for many years. She has a warm and welcoming personality. She is innovative creative and time-efficient in her cutting and styling techniques. Not only is she great with hair, she is also wonderful with people. She is able to adapt herself to the person and create a relaxed environment for the client by being a great listener and multi-tasker. She manages to seamlessly weave her own expertise with the clients wishes. I remember when i accidentally set one side of my hair on fire when attempting to blow out the dinner candles. I came to Adair and she did a wonderful job of blending my hair and cutting it in a way where it could grow it out nicely. Not an easy thing to do! My profile pictures are comprised of various haircuts and styles Adair has done for me, over the years, and are among my favorites! Angela has been my stylist for a few years now and I would follow this woman to the ends of the earth! She always knows what look will compliment me the most and due to the fact she keeps herself educated in the field by attending shows and seminars she is ALWAYS up on the newest and hottest trends. I have referred friends and co-workers of all ages and races her way. Long hair ladies, have you ever gone to a hair and said only cut x inches off... but some how you leave with x+2 inches missing? Is it almost like the hair dresser is like "it's so long, she won't notice". But you know... Well, that is NOT Angela !! LOL. You get what you want. She respects you and your long hair. Even though I have no doubt she is wicked talented and could do crazy awesome things with those shears and my hair, NO MEANS NO when I say I don't want layers. Guess who listened: Angela. All joking aside, it was so nice to have a hair dresser who didn't push their hair agenda on me. Really, I just wanted a trim. Best blow out too to follow up and very nice simple cut. I had yet another amazing result from my go to stylist Angela Scott. I had this crazy long unruly gray hair taking over me and my house. From the time you sit down in her chair you know she has control over her craft by the way the analyses your hair not only visually but by touch and of course asking what it is you need and are looking for. Gave me my pre cut, colored my silver hair with this beautiful apricot-beige stain that was just enough of a transformation but not a shocking change that screamed - look I colored my hair. Angela is the Hair Whisperer! She has an amazing eye for color and an incredible knack for cutting and shaping my hair to my vision. There have been many times when I'm not sure what cut or color I'm looking for. Angela listens to my likes and dislikes and and we build a concept from there. For the last year and a half Angela has been instrumental in making my hair as fabulous as possible at all times! Even when I only have a vague idea of what I want, Ang always has a way of making my hair just right. I had Carmen as my stylist and she did such a phenomenal job! I came in with a bad dye job from a few months ago and she fixed it and then some. I was worried because the bleach from before was chunky and streaky, and I wanted a smoother more connected look. Angela is the absolute BEST stylist I've ever had. I lucked upon her at Frederick's in Greenwood about 2 years ago and have been hooked ever since. Angela is fantastic at The Brazilian Blowout and other straightening treatments. My daughter and I both have seen Angela for several years to straighten our hair and reduce frizz. We have both gone to other salons for similar treatments and Anglea does the best work and has the best straightening treatments that we can find. She does it at a good price too. I just got done getting 11 inches of hair cut at Salon Escada, got an ombre done and I absolutely love it!!!!! I've never had anybody else but Angela put color to my hair. I've heard of way too many horror stories that I didn't trust anyone. I gave Angela a chance and she did not disappoint. Ever since then I seen Angela for the past 5 years for any hair services. Kristin is the owner and cut my hair tonight. About a month ago, I went to another salon and asked for a long bob (lob). It was left too long in the back, it was too thick and didn't have any movement. When I described what I didn't like about it, Kristin knew exactly what I meant. I also showed her some pictures and my cut looks spot on. She also had great attention to detail and was very thorough. She would see how the style would move and then make adjustments and cut a bit more. My bangs kept separating, which would have looked stringy. So Kristin ended up making them a bit thicker, which was a good solution. Before, I was always afraid to get my hair cut in fear that it would turn out choppy, uneven, they'd cut too much off, etc.. But now I'm actually looking forward to the next time I need a cut so I can keep my lob looking sleek or even experiment with something different. Kristin is really friendly too and the salon is so cute! *UPDATE! It has now been one month since my haircut and I have received tons of compliments. Dream come true for Megan and I'm so happy and proud of her. I'm a SoCal girl and super picky about all things beauty related, be hair, makeup, fashion,etc. I've gone to my share of hair stylists in the past and can truly say that Megan is THE BEST. She really takes the time to listen and address all your needs. I have slightly wavy/frizzy hair and Megan knows exactly what to do with it and make it look terrific!!! Artistry is important (she's very talented) but listening and determining what clients want is essential too. My previous color was nice enough. However, I was hoping to eliminate the gold and brassy tones so I requested a cooler base color with contrasting highlights. The result looked great even when my hair was still wet. She did a wonderful job styling (I have some frizz) and my hair looked sleek and polished when she was done. The salon is cute and has a friendly feeling. Also, the chairs in the shampoo room are the most comfortable that I've experienced. Plus, after conditioning, she placed a pre-warmed towel on my head as a pampered touch. I received a base touch-up, highlights, and a toner for a more than reasonable price. I'm definitely returning and have pre-booked my appointment for next month
