I have had 4 hair cuts by a great stylist at a salon in Edmonds since then, and it's still not quite fixed. There is still a section of hair that is way shorter than the rest which continues to prevent me from getting the cut I actually want. I don't write negative reviews very often but this was a very bad experience. Take your hair and your business elsewhere.

It took a month and a half for me not to feel embarrassed going out in public with my hair looking like it did. The color blend I asked for was complex and so I contacted them, sent pictures, and asked before I went there if they could pull it off. They assured me that they absolutely could. After four plus hours of bleaching and coloring, I was told that it would be better if he cut it a certain way (showing that he knew it didn't look right) but I'd have to make an appointment because it took longer than planned. I had told him from the beginning to use stronger bleach but he ignored this. I told him I knew this from multiple experiences but he said it'd be fine. He suggested shaving a pattern in the back. I hadn't planned this but he encouraged that it would look good. I looked up images and gave him several options and told him to do the one that he felt most comfortable with but he assured me that any would turn out great. When I saw it later it looked like a toddler's drawing. When I texted him pictures of it later he never responded. In the end, I paid $230 for a frizzy, haphazardly colored, and poorly designed head of hair. To be fair, he only charged me $200, but I am a stickler for always tipping well no matter what. I had sent them pictures, I asked if they could do it, I did not go there with higher expectations than what was promised. Now I will never go back and I encourage you not to make the same mistake that I did.

I wanted so much to love this salon. It is near my home and it looked so chic and welcoming. I'm…read morenot completely upset with my experience there, but sadly, I will not be going back. To start, they do not post their hours anywhere because they prefer to have scheduled appointments only and deter walk-ins. This didn't bother me, but it took a few tries of walking by and peeking in before I was able to catch them while they were open and get a consult. I asked for a price quote for a balayage hair color for my short-to-medium-length hair. I was quoted $200. That is my entire annual hair budget (and then some) but I went for it. During my appointment, I showed the stylist, who scheduled my appointment and did the consult, the video of the balayage color that I wanted to try and achieve. I know that stylists are not wizards and I did not expect it to be perfect. I stayed engaged during the entire process and made it very clear that I didn't want the color to go all the way to the root (because I'm not good at keeping up with it and didn't want hard lines as the hair grew out). The color I asked for had a combination of my naturally dark hair with gradually lighter coloring toward the front. What I received was not even relatively close to the video I showed the stylist. I ended up with completely dark hair with two 1-inch golden blond streaks in the front and a few oddly placed, stringy blond streaks scattered throughout the rest of my hair. All of the color went all the way up to my root, so it will grow out with hard lines. She did a great job with the cut, I was a bit hesitant with the color while I was still in the chair, so both the stylist and I agreed that I would reach out in a few days to let her know how I was feeling and if I wanted any changes made, which I really appreciated. By that evening I had firmly decided that the color was not working for me and I wanted it changed as soon as possible. Since then (approximately 4 weeks), I have reached out to the salon three separate times and have never received a call back. I haven't been able to catch the salon when it's open to walk in and ask for help getting the color fixed. I haven't completely given up on getting ahold of someone but I'm not optimistic. I also am not in a position to pay to get it fixed by them or anyone else. Others may have had absolutely great experiences, which is wonderful, but unfortunately I did not.
