I just want to leave an honest review of both the salon and stylist Serkan. I called them first thing in the morning in a panic over a hair emergency crisis! ( long story short, I attempted to color my own roots, 2 days before my 30th birthday!! Major fail!! Please don't ever try this at home!! Mission abort!!!) Anyway, the front desk receptionist was soooo kind and understanding over the phone. She was able to have me come in same day and set me up with hair stylist Serkan. ( I also asked if I can have a blonde color specialist work on my hair) From the moment I walked in, I received a warm welcome. No one was rude, mean or laughing at my situation. We spent a little time discussing what needs to be done and I let him do his work. The whole process was very calming and relaxing. Trying a new stylist is obviously very scary but as I was watching his work I realized he knows how to work with blonde hair. I was so relieved! In the end, my results were perfect and I couldn't be happier! He saved my hair! I can't wait to come back here again! Thank you guys so much! read more

This attractive Sheepshead Bay salon's vibe is warm and friendly with absolutely no "attitude". Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable, taking your coat, offering you (delicious) coffee and snacks, calling you a cab, etc. My appt was with Serkan, who had great reviews and pics on Yelp. He is a sweet soft spoken man who aims to please. He took time to discuss all hairstyle options with me and gave me his honest professional opinion. I immediately trusted and liked him. He precisely cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it and gave me caramel ballyage. Serkan personally applied my glaze/color to be sure it covered all my hair, which I appreciated. I went to Salon Evolution to see Beth and Clara again recently. Beth has been cutting and styling my hair for years. She is amazing and really cares about your hair. She is interested in hair health and wants you to look and feel your best. She takes her time and listens to you when you tell her what you want. She also offers you great advice on how to keep your hair healthy all year long. Clara has been the person that I turn to every time I need a wax. Every time I get a wax from her, I feel great. She really knows what she is doing and cares that you have a good experience when you are there. I would recommend Salon Evolution to everyone. read more

Went to this salon for the first time yesterday. It wasn't a recommendation, just heard about it through the grape vine. Had a wash, haircut, and blow dry. The owner of the salon cut my hair, Murat. He was very friendly, asked multiple times what I was looking for (to make sure I was satisfied), and even tried to teach me how to blow dry my hair with a little extra umph (I'm a spaz with styling). The haircut came out very nice and looked so healthy/shiny and at a reasonable price ($62 with tax). An added bonus was the cleanliness of the salon. I know its still fairly knew but the decor was beautiful and everything looked well taken care. I look forward to going again. read more

The salon is easy to find, the prices are fair. And the quality of work is stunning. They were so busy but they still accommodated me at the last minute. I somehow did not have to wait at all. Shadje was my stylist and she was amazing. She listened to what my concerns were and gave me her professional opinion to give me the best cut for my needs. I am so glad that I found this gem of a salon in my neighborhood! Shade cut and colored my hair today. She is outstanding. She will spend all the time you need in consultation before she ever cuts or colors a strand. She gets a sense of what you are looking for, what works for you, and what kind of hair she is working with. The result? I walked out two hours later with a gorgeous chocolate brown color, and she toned my existing highlights to a muted honey. My hair looks expensive and feels great! Swingy and bouncy! Glazing my hair softened it, protected it, and made it super-shiny. In all the years I went to my old salon, I was never even offered this option. The price is very reasonable for the VIP treatment you get. Shade is also friendly and knowledgeable, as is everyone on staff there.
