Ok so I am extremely picky when it comes to my hairdressers. And by using yelp I began weeding through the hairdressers the first couple I used were extremely disappointing. And then I saw Salon Gabriel Anthony made my appt. and went in, I loved every moment, Gabriel listens to what you want but at the same time gives his input considering this is what he does and I think that's extremely important. I got my hair cut from Gabriel himself. Good cut! However It was very expensive. I was told over the phone that it would be around 45, but when I was getting ready to pay it turned out to be 65. It was just a trim. Other then that, the experience was good- nice place, and Gabriel was really nice, very welcoming. I probably wouldn't go back. Although it was a nice cut, I was kinda disappointed at how i was told a different price over the phone- and then felt a little tricked when the price was actually higher. I just got my haircut by Gabriel this past weekend and I love it!! I've had long hair of various lengths for about the past 4 or 5 years and was ready to move on to something new. I play in several bands so I won't just settle for any plain haircut. My friend recommended that I go see Gabriel. Gabriel is awesome! he definitely knows his stuff! I was nervous about going short hair again but he put me at ease. He studied my hair and we exchanged ideas and I explained my fears of what would happen if I go too short as well as having thick wavy hair. I wanted a hip fashionable cut...short but stylish and Gabriel totally delivered!! Everyone I know has been commenting on what a great job he did! The Salon is very nice and modern. I had a bit of trouble finding it but not too bad. Parking was a little hard but I managed to find a spot. Everyone was friendly and great. Great high end haircut, great high end atmosphere without the high end attitude all at an affordable price! What more can you ask for? read more

I worked above Gabe's Salon for a whole year before I decided to go in and get a haircut. I just sold my truck and was commuting to work on a bike so it was no longer convenient to go to my old haircut place. So I decided to give Gabriel a shot. He did such an amazing job and my wife loved my hair that she decide to get her hair done there. I guess he does something amazing with hair color because she says it's really hard to find a place that can color latina's hair right and I guess Gabe has the right stuff. I absolutely LOVE my hairstylist and followed her to this lovely salon. Clean, cozy, relaxing atmosphere with simple but elegant design...near the trendy circle of Orange. Suhnee does the best job I have ever had on my long hair...and Im 60 yrs old! I have seen her with other clients and she does all cuts, all colors and in a timely, professional manner. She always is dressed up and her own hair is beautiful...and long...so I figured that she would be good. I have compliments daily on my hair and I owe it all to her!!! First off, I had to go back to my original hair stylist to fix what Gabriel Anthony had done. When I first saw Gabriel Anthony, he had basically told me he could easily touch up my roots and get my hair to the desired shade (brought pictures) when I went in for a consultation. (No charge for consultation), but when he went to color my hair I was really dissatisfied. Keep in mind, I had brought more than 4 pictures of the same shade/color that I wanted, and at all appointments to give him the exact idea of what I wanted, I even held the pics in my hand during the whole process, & kept showing him them. Well, color didn't even come close. I left unhappy, & he said maybe it was the lighting inside the salon that was giving it a bad shade! (There's such bad lighting in salon, you'd think that they would fix that). It wasn't the lighting after all, because I waited until I got home, and color looked even worse. He took my blonde to almost a light-reddish brown. I told him before to be sure to stay away from any red-brassy tones. However, that is exactly what I got. So- day after I called back. He said to come in again. He would fix it. A week later, after trying with him again, it came out even worse. I didn't like the color, wasn't even close to what I asked for, or what we discussed. I have to be honest here, I gave him 2 attempts to fix the color. The eagerness to fix color gets him one star. But, either Gabriel Anthony is color-blind, or he just simply couldn't get the color to be right. He even tried to convince me to like the strange color. And no, I had not attempted to do anything to it myself. The salon is nice, but very small, and there's a loud, annoying blonde lady that works there. Gabriel Anthony is a nice guy, talks alot, is very informative & knowledgeable, slightly over confident, but he just couldn't get color right. He calls himself a color expert, and uses the best, highest quality product line out there, but maybe he is better with brunettes. If you are blonde, & are considering having him do your color, I would be cautious. I had ended up having to pay way more than I planned on, because I had to go back to my original hairstylist to give me back my blonde hair. No, I did not get a refund, he just gave me some kind of "credit" for next time, which I most likely won't use. read more
