I had the best experience at Salon Hanover with Madisen. She was super sweet and dyed my hair exactly the way I wanted. She's really good at blonding so I would def recommend her for a balayage. The top of my hair was really dark so I was happy how well the color turned out. She mixed two different toners to suit my hair the best. Money well spent and I'm definitely coming back again! This review is for hairstylist Sierra Jackson. Let me preface by saying that while a refund was given to me for the completely butchered haircut that I was given by Sierra, I'm still left with learning to deal with how to manage what little hair she's left me with. Long story short, you'd think that a stylist who charges $95 dollars for a cut/trim is an expert at any style of cutting, so you expect nothing but quality. Clearly that wasn't the case with Sierra. I got an all over color with her and also asked that my long layers be trimmed/cleaned up like the reference photo I showed her of Jennifer Aniston. If Sierra did not know how to execute what I asked for, I would have rather she told me that instead of continuing to use the same "point cut" method she kept mentioning that clearly wasn't working or giving me nearly what I asked for. The layers throughout my hair were also completely in proportioned, some pieces longer than others. I now have to consider alternatives like extensions to try and blend my hair and correct her mistakes which is only costing me more money in the end. I also find it completely unprofessional that after this all, she blocked me on Instagram. If a client in unhappy with the quality of your work, I would really hope that the stylist goes out of their way to ensure that they are offering any and every type of solution to fix what problem they caused in the first place instead of turning the other way. This is hands down the worst experience/haircut I have ever had in my entire life. I hope that this can be something someone can learn from in better communicating with your stylist and ensuring that your stylist is asking as many questions as possible to truly understand what your goals are before any work or damage is done that is irreversible. read more

I had reserved with Marisol from Salon Hanover online. I received an email that my request is pending, until the day of the appointment I did not receive any confirmation. So I called the salon before I left home because I had some place to be in the evening. The person who answered the phone clearly said, yes she is finishing up so come at 4:30 (which was my scheduled time). I showed up promptly at 4:30 to have Marisol tell me she didn't confirm the appointment. I said I literally called 15 mins ago before leaving home and she said 'I don't know who picked up the phone'. She simply asked me to wait another 20 mins ("20 mins MAYBE", really?!) Not the slightest trace of an apology. Needless to say, I walked away. Not recommended. read more

I made an appointment with Maddison to do a balayage, she said ok I will do balayage with no problem. When she finished I realised that she had done something completely different, she gave me orange highlights from the very root of my head. She also noticed she had messed up and asked me to come back the next day, she said she would fix it for me with no charge. I came back the next day, as soon as I arrived she said I would have to pay her 200 dollars if I wanted to fix my hair.. which is literally absurd since she had asked me!! To come back the next day. At the end I didn't agree to pay her so She said she would just put some brown on the roots of my hair to make it look not orange anymore. So that's what she ended up doing and didn't even check the time. Or for how long she put the brown on my hair. I had an awful experience at this salon and I would not recommend to do anything with Maddison. I even tried talking to the other ladies at the salon to see if there's a possibility that they would fix my hair and they said no I could only talk to Maddison. So please save your money! This review is for Sierra Jackson. I don't normally write reviews but given how horrible my haircut is I feel the need to warn others. I have (had) long straight brown hair and it's always been very easy to cut. I can hands down say this was the worst haircut I've ever had. I asked her to keep it long and layer it.... she chopped half of my hair and left the other half long. My hair is uneven, there are MAJOR gaps and the shortest layer is maybe 5 inches. I came home and cut the bottom of my hair another 2 inches to try and reduce the gap (I've never cut hair before) it was truly that bad that I would try anything. The owner, Krystal, came over to tried and fix it which included a lot of thinning to help blend it together. As a postpartum mama who has already had to adjust to losing hair, this majorly sucked. Krystal was extremely sweet and professional but there was not much she could do. I believe I would have been better off at SuperCuts. If you are considering a cut by Sierra, I urge you to reconsider. She's nice and she may be a great colorist or talented at men's cuts but she should not be trusted with long hair. I hope this helps others avoid the current situation I'm in. I'm sure my hair will get back to a decent place, it just may take a year or two. read more

Thank you to Salon Hanover and to Gina for staying open late last night to accommodate so many customers including me. After receiving their shut down orders only yesterday they had to scramble to call clients and get them in. They had no previous communication from anyone letting them know the shut down would come so soon. If they had, they would have been able to accommodate so many more clients and earn the paychecks they will now lose. The owners put so much much time, energy and money into updating the salon in order to reopen. There have been no cases of COVID in the past few months since their reopening. It saddens me that this wonderful salon and so many other businesses have been shut down once again and especially during the holidays. My heart goes out to the owners and employees who work so hard. The hair dressers/stylists and employees in this salon are the best in the industry and I praise them for their positive attitudes and commitment to their clients. Bravo! read more
