One of my best friends was getting married in Anaheim, and I thought to myself, I should probably get a haircut to look presentable for his pictures. The night before the wedding, I walked into The Plaza Salon because it was right next door to the venue, and there, I met Fawzeya. I asked her a million questions because I had no idea what type of cut I needed. She told me she could fit me into her schedule 2 hours before pictures. Nervously, I confirmed. When I arrived 15 minutes late (my fault), Fawzeya was nothing but super friendly and professional. She asked me how I wanted my cut, and I said "you're the pro, just make me look good please". I'm not sure of the exact number of years of experience she told me she has, but I think she told me 42 years, she must've started when she was an infant. I'm so glad that she was able to fit me into her schedule because the wedding photos were beautiful, my hair feels great, and everyone is still telling me how amazing it looks! I live in San Jose so the salon, and Fawzeya are 6 hours away in Anaheim, but next time I'm in southern California, I will surely make an appointment with Fawzeya. Thanks again!

For example, If I had an appointment on Friday at noon she would text and change it to 3pm or 5pm. This happened often. One time, I over booked appointments and I texted her if we could change the noon to 2? She texted back and stated, "I can't do it. Let's do it next week?" WOW, I waited a whole week to get my haircut. I dealt with her changing times and the one time I do it, she can't do it. Recently, I had an appointment for 5:30pm on a Tuesday. She texted me Monday night at almost 9pm and canceled stating, "Maybe next week?" It has now been 2 weeks and she is ignoring my texts and never contacted me for the haircut. I will take my $190.00 for a short haircut and color somewhere else to a place with someone that is professional.

You really need someone that specialized to take a couple inches off in a simple hair cut that they cannot be accessed outside the hours everyone else is working? They came across as not wanting to work in the evening to accommodate someone who has a full time job or simply didn't want to do a short haircut and chose to purposely make it impossible so they wouldn't have to. Edit: They offered me other options AFTER leaving me on read for over 45 minutes and I expressed frustration over it. I also had to be the one to prompt asking for other later appointments that fit the time I was looking for. Not them. Also, booking a time you say you have openings for and are advertising but you don't actually plan to be able to accommodate is idiotic and poor customer service. Saturday was never offered as she claims and I couldn't do that anyway since I also work Saturdays. My only days off are the same days they are closed. Hence my request for an evening. Drove all the way from Monrovia to Yorba Linda and walked in at 10:55am and was told due to a glitch in the system, was told she was behind and asked if I could come back at 12:30pm because she had two other clients ahead of me. A 10-30 mins wait, I would've understood, but an 1.5 hours wait WITH an appointment is straight up unacceptable and the fact that I had both an email AND phone number on file but they failed to provide me with a call was very unprofessional. She asked if I wanted to wait and I obviously couldn't due to the fact that I needed to bring my daughter to her volleyball game in an hour and for her to act surprised I asked to cancel instead of rescheduling is a joke to me. The most outrageous thing was when I looked up behind Kelsea and saw an older, short "hair stylist"looking at me with this smirk on her face. Was it funny that the lack of respect of their customers' time humorous to her? I haven't checked out other reviews yet but since this is the THIRD time from personal experience that they blame overbooking due to a "system glitch" in 12 months, I am starting to think this is possibly how they run their business. I hate having to leave negative reviews for businesses but they've definitely earned the worst experience I've ever had.
