She has flexible time slots, parking is in the back but easy, reasonable pricing, takes her time with you and really understands what you're going for, is very knowledgeable about hair and will give you advice and guidance that maybe some other stylists haven't given you. OMGOODNESS!!!! I'M SOOOOO THRILLED WITH MY HAIR. I came to Cherie with a bad color job. She knew exactly what to do to fix it. It wasn't easy as my bad color job was purple which faded so badly it was about 6 different colors. She fixed it right up. I was worried because I had just had my hair done about a month prior bleaching and the whole 9. Cherie was extremely knowledgeable in the Redken products and used some of them on my hair. Barbara the owner was the best! I had originally made an appointment just to get my hair cut and after the long processes of drying and straightening, Barbara suggested I try the Brazilian Blowout. I was slightly hesitant because it can be quite pricey but I decided to go with it anyway. I few days later I went in for the treatment. It took almost 3 hours to do my hair because I have long thick hair but the results were AMAZING. My whole life I wished it could just get out of the shower and not worry about the hour long process of blow drying and straightening. Now I can blow dry it and no need for flat ironing or I can just leave it wet and it dries silky smooth and straight. The great thing about the Brazilian Blowout is it's actually good for your hair unlike the permanent straightening processes. I love my hair now and I love this salon. Everyone there is so nice and no matter who does your hair you'll be thrilled! It's nice to be at a small intimate salon with all the talent if not more than those big flashy over price salons. Was looking to color my hair as I had been avoiding it for months and the roots were showing quite a bit. Called and made a same day appt with Amanda. The place is unassuming in a little strip mall off of Chapman and it was not flashy or glitzy and definitely none of that snobby feel - a nice change. The staff were nice when I walked in and I was given a tour of the place - They even have a facial room in the back and a small area near the front for mani/pedi's. I was even introduced to the owner who apologized for the renovations that they are doing. So my appointment - first Amanda sat down with me and did a consultation. I explained to her that I was thinking about getting a color since my roots are showing, but emphasized that I like low maintenance and dont' want to be coloring my hair every 1-2 months. She suggested that I put in a few high & low lights for dimension yet, keeping my hair only 2 shades lighter than my natural (I didn't want to go lighter than 2 shades). I was very hesitant over the suggestion of high & low lights as I didn't want a streaky look and I felt like the end color would be unpredictable, but she was very convincing and I agreed.... Also price was discussed at this point so there were no surprises... ( I like that) so $70 for these "lights" She was very thoughtful of what I wanted as an end result.. I liked that she wasn't lazy & pulled smaller pieces of hair for the foils and used many layers of foils to get the natural look.....and I am VERY HAPPY with the results! She did a great job! She knows what to do and I recommend going to Amanda! The salon is pretty cool too in that a portion of the Redken products bought go towards furthering the stylists education so you know that they are on top of new ideas of hair and such.
