Kimmie called to ask if she could move my appointment for fingers and toes to her sister Tracy because she wanted to take the day of our appointment off. I said sure; I had read wonderful reviews for Tracy so no problem and was told to come at the same time I had booked previously with Kimmie. Unfortunately, something came up, so I called to adjust the times for my appointment but was told that Tracy would not be available. Even though it was inconvenient, I agreed to just leave my appointment for the time I had originally been booked; but, I was told that Tracy would not be available to do my nails. When I reminded them that the appointment had already been scheduled in order to cover for her sister, I was told that Tracy was not accepting new clients. I reiterated that I'm not interested in becoming Tracy's client, that she was only covering my scheduled appointment with her sister. Despite repeated conversations with the receptionist and with Kimmie, the appointment with Tracy was not honored because "Tracy is trying to direct new clients to the other technicians." I reminded them that I am not a new client, that I was not interested in Tracy performing my services on an ongoing basis, and that I was a regular client coming in every two weeks, my appointment was not honored. Bottom line is, I will not be returning there for services and if you're looking for someone to provide regular services and honor repeat customers, you should probably think again. You should also know that I have never written a review like this previously. I am not one of those folks who can never be pleased. I was very pleased with Kimmie and with the services she was providing until this blatant attempt to manipulate me into seeing a technician who had no reviews. I agreed to move my appointment for Kimmy's convenience and was totally sabotaged by her sister who refused services to a regular customer with her blatant attempts to manipulate me into seeing the technician she chose rather than the service provider I chose. Sorry, Kimmie, your sister has a lot to learn about customer service for those who have been loyal to your salon.

The stylists and customers alike are definitely of the older generation and their styling seems to be aligned with the preferences of that generation. The salon itself seems stuck in the 70's with outdated equipment and outdated decor. In preparation of my bf's bday, I decided to get some curling iron curls. I figured everyone can do this, so why not give it a shot? Lili took me immediately and got to washing. First off, she's not so good at the washing of the hair since suds get in your ears and eyes, she's answering the phone as she washes, and is really kinda' rough with your scalp. When she sat me in the chair, her blow out skills were ok, but the curls, by God, were either loose and flat or Shirley Temple style. There was no in between. My overall assessment is that the skills are lacking here. Thankfully I have a curling iron at home to make the necessary adjustments to transform the style from retro to modern. I think that they specialize in one kind of customer and they do the old lady look well, but I wouldn't trust them for anything other than a blow out, to be honest.
