When I asked whether the style I showed her would suit my face, she turned the question back on me instead of offering her professional opinion. Length is up to me as well. Mako was polite and smiling throughout, but it felt more like I was being brushed off almost robotic, without any real sincerity behind it. The whole appointment, including shampoo and blow-dry, took under an hour. The end result is fine, but it doesn't closely match the reference I brought, and honestly it felt more like execution than design. When you go to an expensive stylist, you're hoping for real design input thoughts, suggestions, some sense that they're actually considering what would suit you. I didn't hear a single word of that here. For the level of top stylist, I expected a much more tailored, expert-driven experience.

After their keratin, it was exactly the same. (actually worse as the choppy haircut made it more messy) Pic 1: The same day after the hairstyling, every single hair has a different length. Pic 2 and 3: after shower (I showered 3 days after the keratin treatment with a no sulfate shampoo for keratin). The hair got even more wavy than my baseline hair. And because of the hairstyle, the tips of the hair where all over the place. I contacted them twice to get it corrected, they did not reply my emails (I was abroad and couldn't call so wanted to schedule something when I returned). They never replied. I hated it so much I had to do the keratin and the haircut again at another saloon. So, basically I was robbed 250 dollars. Not happy, do not recommend. Save your time and money. Do not get their coupon ------------- Ahhh, and they added a "long hair 20 dollar fee". My hair was at the height of my shoulders.... seriously.....??? So I called B.S. So they changed it to "regular hair 10 dollar fee". hmmmm, so basically you are charging me a fee for having hair? ok cool, cool Why do you charge "regular hair fee" what the hell? Its like charging a "regular nail fee" for a manicure.

The manager, Kumiko kindly and respectfully reached out to me and personally invited me back to avoid the hassle of creating a slow appointment through my previous stylist who works only PT. I got the Deesse's Linkage Meu deep conditioning treatment done by Kumiko and Hana--which took about 15 minutes or so. This treatment seriously made a big difference on the quality of my hair (I was also provided a 4-pack of aftercare for the treatment that is substituted for conditioner on a weekly basis) Shortly after Shin started to blow dry my hair after the rinse off, examined my cut, and carefully fixed it. After the cut he swiftly touched up on my blowdry and asked if I was satisfied--it was perfect! Great manners, friendly people, and it's nice to know that Shin exceeded my expectations. I wanted to simply get a trim and recolor the roots of my hair to stay consistent and match the bottom. As you can see from the picture (I apologize for my puffy crying face), I asked for a warm brown. He asked to see the picture multiple times and said, "okay, okay" and nodded knowingly. Somehow I come out with silver, ash, GREY hair? I have never been so upset about my face/looks in my life. I cried myself to sleep. The next morning, in desperation I went searching for somewhere else to get my hair fixed so I could go out in public without looking like an old lady. By the biggest luck, I found that my original hair stylist was able to jump back from Covid and after a short closure, open another hair salon! She was so kind and let me come in to help me that day. That's when I found out the extent to HOW DAMAGED my hair was. Even the hair washing assistant was shocked by my hair after MULTIPLE hair treatments. They suspect the bleach was put in for way too long and the toner they used turned my hair a silver, grey. Even with their best efforts, the grey could not be totally removed or covered. They even noticed the effects of the treatment at Hazuki was so harsh that my scalp was red even the next day (hopefully not damaged). My hair is so damaged that it has lost its elasticity, it is frizzy, and massive breakage. I even am going to go to a dermatologist to check out my scalp is okay. They DO NOT know how to do color here AT ALL. I don't recommend this place for coloring. Period.

Everyone was wearing a mask and taking precautions every step of the way. Shin was a professional and paid great attention to the details of the haircut. I showed him a picture of myself with shorter hair to tell how much hair I would like to get cut and he did it perfectly! I told him that I like to run while I was there, and Shin was considerate to cut my hair to a length that doesn't get too hot but in which I can also tie it while I run. I never mentioned having the hair at a length where I can tie it so that was very nice! He was also pleasant to talk to, very down to earth. With the shampoo and the haircut it came to $78 plus tip. As a person who always got cheap haircuts from a friend, this was kind of hefty but totally worth the price!
