The reviews seemed OK but I am realizing none of them were recent. Firstly, I will say the head wash was wonderful. The young lady who did it did an amazing job and really gave me an amazing wash. Then the dreaded cut. I asked for long layers in the front and back starting at my chin. The guy spent 30 mins to cut my hair and just went crazy cutting in all different directions. He then whipped out the thinning shears and went crazy with that as well. He must have cut about 50 percent of my hair losing all volume. He actually cut the front longer than the back which I asked him to fix and he said that I would lose even more volume. He blow dried it with a curl and zero product and therefore I couldn't really see the unevenness. Then the payment. I was charged 158 dollars for the wash cut and dry. I was totally taken aback and couldn't believe it. I couldn't really argue with the price.... I've gone to much nicer salons for far less. There were no prices on the wall and no website and it seems like the price was made up. I left so upset and feeling completely scammed. They told me I could come back in 7 days to fix it for free... but why would I go back? I find it completely unethical business practice. I'm now using hair growth serums praying it grows out and I can go somewhere else to correct it.

Haircuts were usually so stressful for me that I resorted to cutting my own hair for many years due to disappointment by hair salons. I'm very grateful Sphere is right next door and easy to book an appt with. Johnny is very detailed and talented. I tried a long bob with bangs for the first time with him last year and I LOVE it. I've received so many compliments each time I get my haircut. Just got another one today. ‍ Johnny has never complained about my hair volume or seem to be phased by my indecisiveness- usually I come in with an idea or two and then I end up just asking him to go with what he thinks best, and he does a fabulous job. I told her I'd be using a cold cap during chemotherapy, and that it's recommended to trim no more than 1 to 2 inches to give my hair the best chance of not falling out. I made it very clear this wasn't about style -- just a functional cut for medical reasons. Despite that, Natasha cut more than 4 inches off. She completely disregarded both my request and the serious reason behind it.
