A couple of months ago I got a recommendation for my nails since I was in search for a new nail technician. Surprisingly I was led to the Salon Lofts again! Every room I've ever been recommended here have been amazing but this particular time I was beyond blown away. This young lady (Za) is extremely professional and one of the most knowledgeable nails technicians I've ever had. I really appreciated her efforts in going above and beyond when not even being asked. She made me feel comfortable and asked me questions throughout my service to make sure I was happy with my service. I will definitely be booking with Za again. I came back and had Tom do my hair color. It's my first visit to Tom's salon, and he did a great job with balayage. He was very communicative, even texting me before hand to ask about the color I wanted. Review specifically for Tom in Loft 7. A couple of years ago I decided to find a new hair person and luckily tried Tom. I've been a loyal client ever since. Not only is he kind and skilled, he listens to my requests and gives helpful feedback when I ask for his thoughts. He's cut and colored my hair to my satisfaction consistently. Only once, I wasn't completely satisfied; and without hesitation, he offered to fix it and did so. He's also upfront with any additional costs and never tries to sell me stuff unless I ask about it. For example, he let me know that toner is extra, which is not unusual, but I appreciated that he asked first. Today, I am over the moon at his colorist skills. To give context; I have pretty typical Asian dark brown/black hair but it's been dyed to medium-ish brown before this new color which is lots lighter. I showed him a photo of the color I wanted to achieve, requested a balayage process, asked if it was doable...then crossed my fingers. He nailed it!!! It's very well blended so appears "natural" and the color look luminously rich. I wish I had a before and after photo to show the transformation. read more

Mariam Azri who is the owner/operator of Loft 4 is perhaps the best hair colorist/stylist I have ever known. From the first time I met her I wondered about whether she could do the kind of highlighting and the degree of lightness I am use to especially since she herself is not a blonde. However, Mariam was gracious and showed me exactly how professionally capable she is. She understands not only color, process, techniques but she listens and applies her expertise to the client's needs/desires. Additionally, though I have found over five decades at least that a good colorist is not typically a good cutter/stylist but Mariam is exceptionally gifted in this regard as well. Plus -- she is the most delightful, warm, and giving woman and she is "drop-dead" gorgeous. I would recommend her to all discerning clients...she is the best! read more

Do not go to Ombre Salon, suite 4 with Marwa. Terrible! She is a hair criminal!!! I showed her pictures of what I wanted for my color and cut. She said she could do it and that she wouldn't go too light with my hair color. I told her about my hair history so that she could decide if what I wanted could be done and she said it could be. She ended up completely damaging my hair! I have lots of tiny hairs now that are there because my hair broke off from the damage. The color was uneven and there were parts of my hair that were completely orange. She said that she couldn't lift the color at the top of my head and that I would have to come back in two weeks and pay $75 for her to do it again! She made my hair super light and it looked damaged and a greenish color! The haircut she gave me looked nothing like what I asked for and had no style at all. I had to contact her that night and ask her if she would fix what she did as I wasn't happy. I went in to next day to have her fix it and she said she could get my hair to look like the picture. She just basically ended up making my hair very dark and boring and again nothing like the picture. I made an appointment with another hair stylist and she said my hair looked nothing like what I asked for and that she damaged the crap out of my hair. My hairstylist was able to lift the color that Marwa said couldn't be lifted and that I need to come back in two weeks and pay $75! So Marwa just had no clue what the hell she was talking about and doesn't know how to do hair at all. My hairstylist pointed out how damaged my hair was from what Marwa did. Marwa also is terrible at styling hair. I literally had to wear a hat for the two days after she did my hair until I could get it fixed because my hair was so ugly. I contacted Marwa today asking her for a refund and she has not responded to a single one of my texts! Do not get your hair done by this hair criminal! She should not be allowed to touch anyone's hair! Update - she responded to my texts finally and was extremely rude to me. The only reason she responded was because she was mad that I left my honest review. read more

I went for Olaplex treatment, haircut and style with Tom. And I did not get any Olaplex treatment. Other products were used on my hair. The hairdressers was not professional at all (should have not tipped him for nothing). And as for the haircut - well I wanted to have a trim and cut the dry parts, I have some layers and I was asking the hairdresser to help me figure out what to do with them and he did not have any response to that except for some rumble and trimmed only the bottom of my hair line. I tried to have a conversation with him and ask for an advice for my hair, but he would not tell me anything. He made it sound like nothing is good for my hair since it is fine, except for a good shampoo. I was Looking forward to it and I was not expecting this "treatment". Will not go back there, would not recommend. read more

This is an interesting concept, each salon/stylist has their own individual space with corresponding numbers. Marwa at Ombre Salon (Loft #4) does a great job. I followed her from another salon because she always does a fabulous job. I've gone to her for 2 years and am never disappointed. I've gotten my hair colored, cut, and styled. In addition to being a master stylist, she is an expert at threading. I used to go to a threading place for my eyebrows, but now there is no need because Marwa does an excellent job. Not only is she a master of her craft, she is extremely friendly and takes her time. You never feel rushed, which is so nice. I had the worst experience at salon lofts for keratin treatment with Nadia Byamba. Of note, my hair length is 4 inches below the shoulder and nadiya told me my hair is LONG and she will have to charge me more for keratin than advertised on groupon. I agreed to that as I thought she probably needs to be generous with the products hence it's only fair that she wants to charge more. During the application on keratin treatment, I happened to notice that she was applying product on my root area only and then combing it down. My mid shaft of the hair and ends were not getting products, I even asked her that my midshaft and hair ends are dry. I asked her if it may need more product? She totally lost her temper and did not answer my question instead she said to me that " this is not your profession and You dont know anything about it" , she then added that she has 28 years of experience and kept on talking over me for 5 mints. I found it extremely rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. After listening to her quietly for 5 mins, I just stood up and wanted to leave, at which point she changed her tone but still did not answer my question or addressed the dry midshaft and ends of my hair. I thought since she is so confident, I would just wait until I wash my hair to see the results. When I washed my hair and let it air dry, my fears came true. My roots are nice and soft and about 3 inches after the root area is also soft but below that is frizzy and dry like it was before. Clearly the areas where product was not adequately and carefully applied did not show results. I am extremely disappointed and I do not recommend anyone to go with Nadiya for keratin treatment because of her poor skills and inability to listen. Also when you are charging full price, then why be miserly with product? This is unfair and I honestly felt my time and money was wasted not to mention her extremely rude behavior in response to a question. read more
