Called day of and got an appointment right away at the time I wanted. I got there and was greeted right away by the owner (I presume), and was cut by Mahdis. She listened to exactly what I wanted and informed me because my hair was long (32 inches long btw) that my cut would be 85$. I appreciated her letting me know before the cut and everything. She did a wonderful job! My hair was so clean and she was really gentle and thorough with the wash. My hair cut came out perfectly and all my layers were blended really well. She even styled my hair for me and it looked gorgeous. If you go ask for Mahdis, she is nothing short of wonderful! read more

Its been a week since I received my 1st cut at this salon and from Eyup. Prior to coming here i had a stylist that i have been visiting for the last 8 years but she moved out of State so i had to find someone new. I asked Eyup for an easy style that is manageable due to me working out everyday. He advised cutting several inches off to rid myself of the thinner ends. I was concerned of my hair being too short but after our conversation (you can book a free 15 min consultation) i felt comfortable with his experience and expertise. I trusted the process and he delivered. I wanted to wait to write this review because i wanted to make sure i loved the cut, that my hair cut was actually manageable for me, and had no regrets. I can honestly say 1 week later i love the cut and I've actually been able to recreate the same look which typically my hair never looks as good as it does after my haircut until the next time i get it cut. I will definitely return to Salon M and especially Eyup. The salon is in a good location, clean, nicely set up, and relaxing. Ive found my new stylist!! Thank you Eyup! read more

So I want to update my review: If you need not only a stylist, but someone to talk to, someone who genuinely cares about you, who puts your needs first, and MOST OF ALL always does a fantastic job... that will exceed your expectations go see Sierra!!! Like NOW. No, yesterday!!!! I went into Salon M in 2021 not really knowing what I wanted and when I left, I not only left with a haircut that HIGHLY EXCEEDED any expectation I could have ever set, but I left with a friend! I didn't know Sierra up until this point but she is one cool chick who every person needs to meet at one point in their life. She's done so much to my hair and I've loved it. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. We did a pixie cut with color from (multiple shades of) pink, then blue, and multiple shades of blonde. I go in with no set expectation of what I want and she just kind of knows what to do. Sierra absolutely kills it every dang time and I'm so excited to see what she does next!!! I don't ever need to find a new stylist ever again!! She's got a client for life!!! Jim the owner is also just an amazing human being and business owner. He cares deeply about every client who walks in that door and it shows. He's always in a good mood when I'm there and couldn't be kinder. I cannot recommend this salon enough. You need to get there asap. read more

SalonM is a very nice, upscale salon. I went for the first time yesterday to get a full highlight. When I first walked in I was greeted by the owner, Jim Kaiser. He was such a sweetheart. I was nervous about my first visit with a new stylist and he immediately made me feel comfortable and less anxious. Everyone in the salon was very nice and welcoming. My stylist was Brittany and she did an amazing job on my hair. I have natural curly dishwater blonde hair and I get blonde highlights. I had issues with a past stylist doing a horrible job and Brittany was able to fix the issues and give me the exact color I wanted. She also gave me great tips and advice on different ways we can style my hair and different products to use on my type of hair. I also had issues with my credit card (so embarrassing) and Brittany was such a sweetheart and patient while I worked out the issue. I highly recommend SalonM and am super excited to have found my new "home" salon. :) read more

Received a coupon in the mail for a complimentary cut & style by Kerri. Called the store and spoke to a male who told me he couldn't make me an appointment with her on the phone and if I text her, she'll get back to me by the end of the day. I texted her right after we hung up and never heard back. No text back, no phone call, nothing. What's the point of sending out a coupon if you have no intent on honoring it? Update: I received an email from Yelp saying the business reported my review as being for the incorrect business. Yea, right. Way to try and get my review removed. The number listed on this Yelp page is the number I called and the address listed is the same address that was printed on my coupon. Nice try. read more

I absolutely love this salon and my stylist there. First of all, the salon is very modern, clean, and it looks like it is brand new. They offer you wine, beer, soda or bottled water every visit. They use great products including Bumble and Bumble which is one of my absolute favorite lines. My stylist Lauren is absolutely amazing. When I lived in Austin I would schedule my trips home around when I needed to get my hair done so I could always go to her. Then, I moved to Uptown Dallas and didn't even mind the over 30 minute drive to get out to the salon because I just KNEW I would love my hair every time. She listens to exactly what I want and makes it happen. She even goes out of her way to curl my hair if I have a special event that night--even though it takes her extra time, she just cares about my hair looking awesome! I just recently moved to San Francisco and had to get my hair done at another stylist. (It was daunting) It had been over 2 months since I had visited Lauren for my usual haircut, highlight, and extensions. The hair dresser "oooohhed" and "ahhhhed" at how amazing my hair--especially my extensions still looked. He (and several other people, including another hair dresser that did an updo for a wedding on me) could not even tell I had 2 bundles of extensions in my head because she did such a phenomenal job. I CANT WAIT to go home in February to visit my favorite sylist again!!! To start... before moving to TX a few months ago, I had the same stylist for about 22 years (since I was a youngin'). That said- I'm very picky when it comes to who cuts my hair and where it is done. I was recommended this salon and a particular stylist- Claudia- by another website.. so i booked with her. Well, far I've had 2 cuts with her, both were to my liking and EXACTLY what I asked for!! This last time I requested she do some really light blonde highlights for my upcoming wedding. I'm a natural blonde, but over the years my color has faded to a darker blonde. I explained to her I really didn't want it to be so light that it is platinum and looks fake, but light enough to where I can notice. (I previously went to another stylist in Feb 2011 to get some highlights, asked her for the same thing, but they came out unnoticable- so I was a little curious as to whether Claudia could pull through on this.) Boy did she deliver! I'm very happy with my new highlights and my cut! I'm usually a "cheap-o" when it comes to salons, but this is WELL WORTH it. Salon M is a very nice, upscale salon. My stylist, Kim K, is the best ever!! I have hair that has sometimes been called "challenging". Kim has been able to make it look great from the first time I visited her shop over four years ago. I can't imagine going to anybody else as my past experiences with other hair stylists have not always been so positive. With Kim, my cut and color are always perfect!! She always takes the time to make sure my hair is absolutely the way I want before I leave her chair. Kim has a such a wonderful, caring personality and makes your visit so enjoyable. Not a fan. Everyone in there seems a little stuck up and they give you this feeling like you don't belong. I really needed to get my hair color thinking this would be a simple procedure I did it as a walk in and just asked for the next available stylist. Never again, I'll wait the long wait for my stylist to have an opening, yes it's always a wait but he is awesome when it comes to my hair. The stylist I was presented with didn't seem to know much about hair that had a Brazilian blow out done on it and even though she asked me if I had a relaxer in my hair before she washed it she didn't really tell me what type of shampoo or conditioner she was using, just asked about my hair and went in for the wash. Luckily I was due for another Brazilian blowout soon so this lack of knowledge wasn't going to damage my hair too bad, again, just wanted my hair color The next challenge for the inexperienced stylist was to gather the correct amount of product for my hair. If you feel someone's hair and you are in that type of profession, you would think you would have some idea of how much product you would need, but she decided she should just start out with a small portion and start dyeing my hair and then half way thru told me she needed to get more product because I have a lot of hair. I'm sorry but comments like that make me worry, something so simple seemed to be a challenge for this girl and if the simple things challenge her then how am I supposed to feel comfortable her taking care of my hair. The color came out ok and we were happy when it was over, not because it was done but because she was finished doing things to my hair, more of a relief then satisfaction. I will wait next time and hopefully warn others to be aware this place isn't really recommended. read more

Unfriendly and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. No one greeted me when I came in. I was thinking to talk to someone about making an appointment, but I was so turned off. I ended up just buying a product, but waited about 10 minutes until someone finally came over because I'd been standing at the register for so long, and said "you just need to buy this?". They rang it for me and that was it. No bag, no goodbye thanks, just here, sign. The only thing I can think of why they may have been so rude was discrimination. While that still maybe true- based on the reviews, these people have been plenty rude to many more people. Very unfortunate. I have been going to Mary Anne for two years now, and I've never received more compliments on my hair than after she started cutting it. Even more surprising is that I get the most compliments from women who turn out to be hairstylists themselves! I never feel rushed, she always cuts, styles, recuts, and restyles; making sure it's exactly right. All the while, she'll educate me on hair care, styling tips, and even the BEST way to mix color at home, since I'm not willing to shell out for that in the salon. Everyone in the salon is extremely pleasant and REAL. No false elitist posturing here, just real professionals with the skill and passion to make you look your best. I would give a zero if possible. I got my hair cut on Friday by Meg and my hair is completely botched on my right side near the face. I asked for a cut with long blended layers and ended up with choppy layers randomly. There's no way to fix it now as half a chunk of my hair is cut up to my ear. Pinning it back or a pony tail is my only option until it grows back out in a year. I emailed the manager and have yet to get a response. I waited at the front for a receptionist and they didn't even greet me when they finally arrive at the heir desk. Poor service. Don't go there unless you want a mullet.. read more

When I first moved here from Chicago, I had a hard time finding a salon that I liked -- so I hopped on yelp to get some recommendations! My experience here couldn't have been better and remains so every time. My stylist is Justin, who I think is incredibly talented and intuitive about his work. After having the same person cut my hair for 11 years, I was nervous, and not good at giving direction, so I just said "do what you think will work with my hair and look good on me" and my hair came out great! I had such a good experience that I sent my husband to Justin (he's a bit more picky than me) and he also has had a great cut every time. I liked her so much that I booked a second appointment with her for my son. After I sent him the pictures of my bangs that were cut way too short and all different lengths he told me he would "speak" to the stylist.
