I've gotten my hair done by Kyndra a few times now and she always does an amazing job! She is very patient and honest when it comes to color. I have dark brown hair and I wanted to go lighter to an ashy blonde this past summer. She was very forthcoming in letting me know that it would be a process to get to a lighter color. She did a wonderful job and was so very patient with me whilst getting to the ashy blonde I desired. Now that summer is long gone, I went back to Kyndra to darken my hair for the fall. I decided to write a review after my second visit because the first is always pretty pleasant, so I wanted to make sure I got the full experience. First, my stylist is Ariana. She's the best! I found her on Instagram where I saw she did someone's hair I had been following for a while. I wanted her to bring my hair vision to life for my wedding. I booked a couple of weeks ahead just to ensure it'd be done in time and I got the appointment I wanted/needed. Ariana was there on time and it didn't take all day like some of the other salons I'd visited for the same kind of service. She made sure I didn't want for anything.. asked if I needed water or a snack and made sure she didn't hurt me. Luckily, I'm not tender headed. I let her do her thing and I'm so glad I did because my hair came out fabulous! I came back two weeks later for maintenance (wash, redo and curls). She arrived a few minutes after I did. We talked about what I wanted done and how and we got right to work. I was immediately pleased that I didn't have to wait until she had breakfast, took a smoke break and/or whatever else stylists tend to do when they have a client waiting on them. Again, this time there were refreshments (wager, soda, coffee, donuts, fruit...) I enjoy the time I spend him and the work is quality. Shawon has been doing my hair for about 9 mos & I've always been satisfied. Yesterday I got fingerwaves for the first time & they are gorgeous!!! My hair was very short & I am in the process of growing it out, which can be an awkward & annoying phase. I will be wearing fingerwaves for a few months while my hair grows out. !!Ask for Tonya!! No matter what you want to get done: a designer cut, color or style. Let me first say, I have a natural afro (4c) and wanted a change up from my two-strand twists. Personally, I'm not a fan of the salon experience in general (i.e. long waits, judgy stylists, terrible customer service, and etc.) However, I did not experience any of the negatives. As soon as I entered, I was welcomed by the woman at reception. I noticed the spacious waiting area with nice open windows and lots of state-of-the-art salon equipment. I maybe waited 10 minutes before being seen by Tonya. From start to finish Tonya was amazing. Not at any point did I feel like she was bored and simply going through the motions. Tonya was hilarious the entire time. She listened when I told her that I wanted a taper cut and wanted it long at top and front After washing, she deep conditioned my hair and then used clippers at the sides. She said she got her start clipping hair at a barbershop and it shows. The fade is nice and precise and I got four lines shaved on the right side of my hair. She finger coiled my hair at the top to finish off the style. I love my new hair cut. I'll probably keep the top more in its natural afro state as opposed to curly. Simply, because I like to have fuller volume. Overall, I received *excellent* service from the entire staff. I paid about $200 (plus, a $25 tip), and it was well spent. I just moved into the apartments where the Salon is located and had been waiting for the salon open. Once I saw it was open I immediately walked in and was greeted by the owner. They had a special $39 for wash and style so of course I wanted to take it it. I couldn't do the appointment that day but the owner let me have that price for the next week. What I first noticed when I walked in is the cleanliness and the modern design. It is so gorgeous in there, who wouldn't want to be in a beautiful place to get their hair done. When I got there for my appointment, my hair stylist was running behind so I sat for about ten minutes. My stylist was very nice and washed my hair and used a great shampoo that had tea tree oil. It smelled great and felt good. I also had a deep conditioning. After getting my hair dried, I had great conversation with my stylist as she did my hair. I took my 15 yr old daughter here for the first time last Thursday. She booked her appointment for a trim and silk press, she was excited because they also had a first time client discount. We arrived on time and the stylist we booked with asked us where we made our appt? So she showed him that she booked it on Vagaro. He clearly double booked himself and told us that he would have to have Darius do her hair. Ok... no problem. Darius came out and got my daughter and started her hair. Darius had to stop several times while doing my daughters hair to attend to other clients..so what should have taken 2hrs took 4hrs but..ok. Here's the biggest issue, when I went to pay the woman (owner??) told me $149???... I said what am I being charged for?? She said well, he added on a hydration mist treatment which cost $50, plus $70 for the service and $20 for the trim. I looked at my 15yr old and she said he didn't say the treatment was an extra cost (she's 15yrs old of course she doesn't know that). So I said to the women, we came here for a trim and silk press, why didn't he have her text her mother to ask before doing this?? The women said oh are you a first time client? I said yes. I can take 50% of of the treatment (which we never asked for by the way ) and I will charge $49 for the service. She then asked if I wanted to add tip??? The stylist knew he had a teenager in his seat, if he needs to do sneaky add ons to get more money then he needs to go into a different career. I definitely won't be back. read more

Tonya is the best micro link extensions stylist in Buckhead. She is a master at her craft, and I have yet to lose one link! She is deeply knowledgable and experienced about hair, textures, and the best placement for extensions to allow for style preferences. The hair they use is premium 100% human hair, and they've never had a problem matching it to my own. Her microlinks are so comfortable I forget to come in for my touch ups! The Millbon Keratin Treatment System is the best one I've ever had so far, and I've been getting treatments for years. My experience at this Salon was not a good one. First of all the prices that are on the website does not apply to the service you will receive. I came in for a Full Head of Highlights and came out with blotches of uneven color in my hair. Micheal was a nice guy but color is not where his expertise is. After Michael put the hair color in which included bleach he proceeded to comb my hair and use a towel to remove the bleach. That's crazy!!!Of course I received breakage, what cosmetologist combs through bleached hair from the root to the tip??? He added on charges that I didn't ask for like toner, and a treatment he made that had my hair hard. I went in expecting to pay $160 and left paying $300 for a hair color I did not ask for. I wrote a review a week or so ago of Salon Moraee because the lady who answered when I called for an appointment was very impersonal, and responded to my "good morning, how are you?"... with an abrupt 'FINE'. She offered zero professional courtesy or polite phone etiquette by asking the same of me. I was totally turned off at such curt responses so I told her I had wrong number and ended the call. She showed no interest or concerns for me and why I called that morning, or returned my call, until my review posted. I would like to believe her efforts to make that unfortunate situation right, by way of a free haircut if I take my review down, would be OK. The irony to this story is this woman was borderline harassing me with phone calls and texts to take the review down and now all the stylists at this salon are too busy, and booked all day and all night, to get me in before my surgery next Tuesday the 20th. Today is Monday and I wrote the review Tuesday the 6th. Still no haircut even though I took the review down right away. It seems once again my courteous nature was not mirrored by this salon. Funny how this salon was able and willing to squeeze that other reviewer in the same day she called just this past week. The sense of urgency on behalf of Salon Moraee seems to have faded (with me), now that I deleted the review. I prefer to share my experience with others versus a free haircut anyway. ...Alisia is now trying to say I cancelled two appointments, which is simply not true. She was not polite, professional or courteous when she answered my original call, so special attention was not required. I only expect to be treated as I treat others. This was my first time in the salon after reading good reviews about both the salon and Darius. I didn't feel welcomed in and on several occasions I contemplated just walking out all together because of how unwelcoming my experience was with him. I filled out the question form online about what I was coming in for and notes I wanted to leave with my stylist and it's clear that it was a waste of time even filling it out. The girl who shampooed my hair, while she was friendly, was very heavy handed and I had to ask her twice to be more gentle on my scalp as she scraped it during the scalp detox that I scheduled. After my scalp was scraped she began the shampoo process where she vigorously rubbed my freshly scraped scalp to wash it. After that she raked through my 4c hair with a comb and pulled out almost 4 times the amount of hair I usually shed each week on wash day. She was combing my hair out from root to tip instead of working her way from my ends to my roots. When it was time for Darius to step in he proceeded to comb my hair in the same manner. I tried to just hold my tongue but I eventually asked him to be more gentle on my hair too since I just experienced the shampoo girl ripping out my hair as well. He seemed offended when I asked him to be more gentle as he combed through my hair and then proceeded to ask me how long I've been natural and tell me that I should know how working with natural hair goes. I lost even more hair as he raked the comb through my hair too. When it was time to finish my style he asked if I was okay with him blow drying my hair since I asked him to be gentle on my hair prior to that out of what I considered to be passive aggression. This was by far the worst salon experience I've ever had and is the reason I barely go to get any service besides a trim. I literally almost cried because I trusted the staff to take care of my hair and I felt not only unwelcome as a new client, but also felt like the staff had no patience to really be gentle with my 4c natural hair. I wash and condition my own hair once a week and I've never lost that much hair during my wash and condition process. I would also never comb my hair out from roots to ends. I went about two weeks ago and I will be back! The salon is very welcoming and clean when you walk in. There are plenty of refreshments for the customers. I had an appointment with Tory and I had to wait a little while before she got to me. The girl before me had a lot done --The wait was not terrible. I got a cut, balayage, and style. It was roughly $300. The color didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it because of previous colors I had in my hair. I had red deposits in my hair which altered the color. From first sight, Salon Moraee is very appealing. Very clean inside and the woman who greeted me who I believe is the manager/owner was very nice. My hairstylist, Dre I believe his name is (not sure because he was very quiet the whole time) was not forthcoming. He did not give me a consultation before diving into my hair. He asked me how I wanted my hair and just started cutting. I asked for a bob and to die my entire hair honey brown. IF YOU PLAN ON GETTING COLOR DONE ON YOUR HIAR DO NOT COME TO THIS SALON. I had red highlights in my hair and he did not tell me that the red would not be able to come out easily and the color that I wanted to achieve would not be possible. I looked in the mirror and I had black roots (which I already started with) and purple ends. I absolutely hate my hair cut. I told him at the washing station that I was unhappy with my hair color and he said "hey what can you do" I was at this salon from 3-10 pm. I ended up paying $200 for the hairstyle although I did not want to. He tried to charge me $250 and I wasn't willing to pay that. I am so unhappy with my hairstyle and I want to warn any other women that think about attending this salon think twice before coming here. I had been contemplating finding a new stylist for a while. One that really knows natural hair ..despite the claims. I had been looking at Salon Moraee after seeing pics posted on the internet. Funny thing is the day prior to this I'd contemplated going to Salon Moraee and cancel my appt with my stylist at the time. Anyhow, I found myself sitting in my car in the parking lot after leaving that hair appt, fed up with my stylist for the last time. I decided to never return and simply find someone else. I began to go through the previous history in my phone and again read the reviews of the stylists at Salon Moraee. I saw Shawon's history, experience and reviews and immediately booked an appointment (appt.) for the next day. After I received my appt. confirmation via Vagaro, Shawon called me directly. We talked briefly and she asked me the condition of my hair. She made recommendations for the upcoming appt. I drove from Florida to Atlanta the next day for my early A.M appt. It was so worth it. Shawon gave me everything I asked for and more. This is hard to find in a stylist. Shawon brought life to my hair and my spirit. I have been back multiple times because the health of my hair is very important to me however her actions show that it's equally important to her. Don't hesitate to book your appt. at Salon Moraee. This salon is clean, elegant and the staff are very professional. The environment is divine. It is upscale salon meets urban chic. This is a nice salon. The owner is very friendly. The staff smiles when you enter and ppl aren't gossiping or speaking to another stylist while doing your hair. The decor is inviting. The negatives are- way too expensive sometimes.... I don't mind paying good money for my hair but I should not have to go back to get something fixed if I am paying almost $300 for two tracks, textirizer, and trim of my ends (which should be included with a relaxer or texturizer). I got microlinks instead of traditional braiding against my better judgement bc the stylist Kimberly put the links way to close to my edges which made it pull even after I mentioned hat my hair was weaker there due to having a baby. Also- she did not secure the weft securely and it became unraveled even after I went back the same day when a piece of the weft was sticking out from my natural tresses. Next time I will try Logan yo see how things go bc she seems pretty hungry. She is the MUA there and she also is a stylist- but she seems very focused and her makeup is always pretty. My last negative is the lack pf concern for hair health. If I ask you what I can do to improve my hair quality- And make it stronger- I don't think the response should be "just leave it alone"huh? That is very vague. I am searching for a stylist who is focused, has a lot of technique under their belt, versatile, and can give me tips on my hair care for when I am at home. Overall it is a nice salon with good energy. I wanted to update my review- after leaving the above review- salon owner reached out to me via phone and I thought that was pretty stand up of her. She offered to bring me back in to make up for what was not her idea of the proper service. I did not have a pleasant experience. I had reservations, but thought I would try anyway. The person who answered was not the most friendly. I went asking for the owner to style me since it was my first visit and I was looking for a new salon home. I thoroughly explained how my previous Dominican salon had styled me for years and was told it was no problem. A simple roller-set! The roller-set was not done right, a leave-in was set tony hair, after I asked for one not to be. Because the set was not done right, I opted for a very light blow dry; she did not know how to handle the brush, so I decided to leave. Only to be charged significantly hire than what I saw online. She took several calls, left me in the chair with water dripping for lengthy periods of time, handled cash, spoke about her staff and unwelcomed guest, etc. I truly tried to remain optimistic throughout the process, but her getting snippy and frustrated with me at the end called for a speedy departure.
