05/01/25: i've gotten a haircut here twice. the first time, it was acceptable. the second time, it felt very rushed, and it ended up being the worst haircut i've ever had. very very choppy. i felt ugly for months. i finally went to a different hairstylist 6 months later to fix it, and she was instantly appalled at the choppy and uneven layers. it took 2 sessions to fully grow out and fix. update 05/14/26: i just saw their response on google reviews that they cannot find me in their books, which is because i prefer to remain anonymous. but i'm attaching photos of proof of service. in most cases i'd let a business contact me to rectify the issue, but please don't waste your time calling me. i have a new salon now that i can always trust. read more

Unfortunately my hair was completely ruined by Adam at Salon Nirvana. I went for a color correction and ended up with severely damaged, over processd hair and basically a chemical haircut. I had long hair prior to my appointment that I since had to cut to chin length and it is still pretty bad and I will have to cut off more. The color is visibly uneven but due to the severity of the damage there is not really too much that can be done to correct it currently. I literally just have to grow it back out. I am especially disappointed that they let me leave the salon (after 8 hours and 800+ dollars) without fully disclosing the damage and how bad it really is. I was left to discover the extent of the damage at home. It is now a month later and I'm dealing with very unmanageable and frankly embarrassing hair and can not even use any syling tools. They do know how bad of a job it was, as the next day, after I asked for a resolution, they reimbursed me the full amount without question. Unfortunately it does not help any with my current situaiton. read more

JESSICA is INCREDIBLE. I have had so many bad hair cut and colors being a curly haired girl. Today I had her do air touch. When I arrived I had no idea what I wanted but just a natural look with blonde. I had her just do her thing and wow she did A THING. I'm in love. She started with a lengthy consultation she made sure she was going to accommodate my wants and needs. Then started air touch, cut, and styled. I wanted to love this place so much I have been searching for a new salon. I found this place because The owner put out add for hair model. , I thought how cool I need a change and in the past hair models usually don't pay and they get free product. Well I go in for my appt just to be told yes I would be hair model but I have to pay 50%z. I thought that was kinda bs and should have been said before even making me come in. Either way I read reviews and like I said I have been wanting to find a salon since my hair dresser moved. Well Figure out my services the hair dress said I could do whatever I wanted as she was building her book up cool. I got back for my real appt to get my hair done now. She said 3 hours well 6 hours went by and I started to feel sick and I had a baby sister for 4 hours and we went way over. No problem other then my hair wasnt what I had asked for. She tells me she can fix it but at this point Im feeling super sick so I said no problem we can fix it another day along with my trip and blow dry. I pay for my services and leave. Then my final appt I spoke to girl on the phone confined what we would be doing and about how long so I made sure i had child care covered. I get to the salon. She puts color on my head then we wash it out still not 100% but much better I like it better then before. Then she ask if I am getting a hair cut I said yes we are finishing up everything from the other day we spoke about this already that day before I left. She says on no then I have to charge u full price its only half if we do it all in one sitting. I reminded her that she was the one who messed up and took so long that I had no choice but to go also that I wasnt feeling well. She says well I have to ask the owner so I don't get in trouble. Goes to owner comes back says sorry she said full price all services are only half off the one day. Listen at the end of the day I feel upset for two reasons. I was bamboozled to even go in first place with claim to be hair model no problem I don't mind paying but then you want to tell me because you messed up and took so long to bad I have to now pay full price for the rest of my services. Terrible. After paying over 400 dollars my greys still showed. They used a hair dye darker than I wanted but insisted it was the correct one. They convinced me to do something I did not want. They claimed what I needed would come out to a ridiculous price and convinced me to do it their way. I trusted them and it was absolutely not worth it. So I already wrote a review on Google but since no one has reached out to me yet from the salon I thought what better idea than to make sure they receive my message. THIS PLACE BURNT MY HAIR. They do not care about the health of your hair or anything really other than putting more money into their pocket. It's really upsetting actually because I spend so much money on hair treatments and thought it was a good time to get my roots done and said maybe I should help out a local business ! I ended up going in with long hair coming out with what looks like burnt bangs ! So beyond upset, let's hope I actually get a reply or something from them. I went for a haircut with Mia who had blown my hair before. I had long luxurious hair. I told her my hair seemed heavy and she told me I overused Olaplex. Despite figuring out the problem she decided to chop off my hair 70's style. I look like Uncle Jessie from full house. Every hairdresser I go to cries or is enraged when they see what was done to me. The owner Karolin offered to cut it to try to blend the mistakes but told me she wanted $1000 for extensions. They have ruined my life and I need to do videos for work. I spend $88 a month on Nutrafol to try to grow out my hair quicker. This is a one year nightmare. There is no excuse for this hack job! read more

So I went to Salon Nirvana 954 as Igor was highly recommended by 2 friends. I decided to try Igor out as I was tired of other salons not getting my hair color as I wanted. I heard Igor was a master at his craft of hair color so I decided to give him a try, and I have found that... IGOR IS A HAIR GOD!!! For starters, the salon is clean and beautifully designed. From the moment you walk in, you get special treatment. Igor really listens and makes sure to totally understand what you would like done with your hair. His assistant Julie/Yulia is super attentive and very gentle with your hair (not like other places I went to that rip strands of your hair out while they are brushing it.) I have very long hair so when it was time for a blow out, I had 3, YES 3 people blowing out my hair at the same time... talk about royal treatment, I felt like a celebrity ;) The hair treatment they use smells amazing and not like ammonia or harsh chemicals. It's also actually the first time ever that the color treatment didn't itch my scalp, it felt amazing. In a nutshell, I was super impressed. My hair color came out gorgeous, natural looking and with a healthy shine. Igor uses a special technique when highlighting your hair called "air touching" which gives the most natural looking highlights. Now I'm spoiled because for now on I wouldn't want my hair done any other way besides this air touching method. Igor has won himself a new client! BEST SALON!! Igor is absolutely amazing!!! I saw some reviews online about him saying he is a magician when it comes to hair... I wanted to go from DARK to LIGHT which is mostly impossible to get really light. Igor work his magic and made it happen. I absolutely love my hair and couldn't be happier. I left the first time satisfied and happy but Igor is a perfections and saw that my tips weren't as light as he wanted it to be and I thought it was fine. He then asked if I had time the next day to try to lighten the ends of my hair more so of course I said yes and that I will make time. When I asked how much more it would be he said that it was at no extra charge. The place feels very homey and comfortable. I would definitely RECOMMEND! I have gotten manicures, pedicures, blow outs and styles at this salon. They are able to squeeze me in when I have a tight schedule. Alex does amazing dip manicures! She has an eye for detail and is a perfectionist. I highly recommend her. Mitch does great blow outs. When he washes my hair, it is super relaxing! Today I went to see Alena for a blow out. She made sure I had a squeaky clean wash and gave me the best blow out. She even hand rolled and clipped my hair in order to preserve my volume and style because I have a flight to catch. The salon owners Igor and Caroline have extensive experience in hair color and cuts. I have been going to Igor for color for the past 7 years since i started getting greys. Igor is a perfectionist and he really cares about his clients' satisfaction. Through the years I had all kinds of different colors - reds, highlights, ombre etc and each time I absolutely loved it. I have thin curly and frizzy hair and since i started going to this place my hair got healthier, thicker and longer. When I woke up sick and called the salon to move my appointment, I was told I'd be charged 50% of the service. I was penalised for being sick. They automatically charged my card on file $400 and then refunded me $100 when I challenged the cost. Sadly, this salon is just another example of price gauging and price hiking while using the pandemic as an excuse. I would be happy to pay these prices if their services were worth it, but they're mediocre at best. There is a reason the salon is always empty. They will soon see that treating customers this way is the quickest way to close their doors permanently. Shameful. read more

Elana was my hairdresser and she's awesome! She was super professional and took her time to get the job done. And when I say time, I mean it took a little over 4 hours but that's how long the process takes. I just had the magic sleek done on my hair with her and I couldn't be happier!!! When I went in, I went with pictures and spent a good amount of time going over what I wanted as an end result. Platinum highlights. She even took a pic of what I wanted for her own phone. I questioned why she was doing my whole head in foils. Took almost an hour alone on that process. Answer was, 'don't worry it will all work out in the end'. No. It did not work out in the end. I spent five hours in the Salon and my hair ended up being over processed. When she was finished she said, 'see you look just like me now'. Apparently, that's the only way she knows how to do hair. That was not what I was looking for: all platinum hair except for an inch of black at the roots. Highlights it wasn't. Over processed bleached platinum with black roots is not platinum highlights. Karolin, the owner, is amazing. I've gone to her several times, and her cuts are beautiful each time. She gives me exactly what I want, and I trust her implicitly. I've also gone to other people for hair cuts, not at Salon Nirvana 954, and I always end up in Karolyn's chair, having her fix what was done by a previous stylist. Her prices are reasonable. Her staff is delightful. Her salon is lovely. GO TO HER. She knows her sh*t and cares about her customers. And Lexi, the nail tech, is also fantastic. Great, creative, manicures. I love coming here. Igor has been doing my hair before he opened up salon nirvana and I never walk out upset whether it's styling or coloring my hair he always does the job !! The staff and stylists are great ! Always make me feel like I'm home and they go above and beyond to please their clients !! I highly recommend ! I live in miami and make the drive to Fort Lauderdale for them ! So worth it !! Two thumbs up !!!! Ohhh and not to mention the chairs they have when washing your hair . I would like to start by saying that every employee of Nirvana salon that i communicated with was very nice and caring, but unfortunately the actual service provided was horrible . I originally came for consultation (after doing all the research) for keratin fusion extensions. Igor talked me out of it and talked me into doing sew-in weft instead. I have thin slavic hair. He said he can get my hair in two days, which should have been a red flag right away, other places i consulted at said it takes about 2-3 week to get them unless they already have them in the salon. I came in in 2 days to have my hair installed. Igor's wife Carolina was doing it for me. My hair is very short so with weft the line between mine and the extensions was so obvious! We ended up cutting extensions and i guess with professional blowdry she was able to make it look decent. When i got home, washed my hair and styled it myself it was absolutely horrible. I called salon and Igor said he will remove the weft and redo it into capsules so we can do fusion keratin as i wanted from the beginning. He ended up installing them for me, but the very next morning after installation half of them started to slide down as i was brushing my hair to put into ponytail. Igor refused to refund me and said he will fix everything. Frankly I choose not to give it a third chance, considering the place is 45 minutes away from me and i had an event the next day, so really couldn't risk wasting another minute. I had no other choice but to dispute charges with my credit card company. Also, when i went to a different place to remove the remainder of the extensions I was told that the hair that was installed were not even slavic, they basically lied to me.
