I got a haircut and blow dry there last October. I showed the hairstylist a picture of how I wanted my hair cut. She chopped it off very short and uneven and told me "this is how you should wear your hair." I also booked through the receptionist who disappeared when I was leaving. I booked a haircut through a receptionist at this salon for a haircut and blow-dry. When she delivered a very poor cut (choppy, uneven on each side, bangs a disaster), I mentioned the choppiness and she started cutting more off my hair. I asked her to stop cutting, paid and left. At time of payment, I learned she was renting the space not an employee. When I got home, I realized how poorly the haircut was all the way around. I called and asked to speak to the owner, twice in two days. She refused to speak to me and had the hairstylist call me. The hairstylist refunded my $$ after a long discussion on how I should come back in and she would fix it. I wanted to speak to the owner. This is her shop and she should be aware of an unhappy customer and why the customer is unhappy. This owner takes no responsibility for her renters nor cares whether she has high quality stylists or not. This was my first time returning to this salon in about 6 years as I was not in the area for some time. I went back because I had received good service and haircuts in the past. I would, highly recommend you not go to Salon Picasso. An owner that will not speak to unhappy customers and does not care about the quality of her stylists, is not the salon I want to frequent. read more

We vacation in Scottsdale quite frequently, and we always stay at the Boulders Resort. This neighborhood salon is my go to when we are there. I've had my hair , nails, and facials done there. Everyone is always friendly, and the salon is always clean and has a fun vibe. I've never had anything but an awesome experience every time I have been there. I go to Salon Picasso to have my nails done by Tamara. I also go to Darla who does facials. Salon Picasso is where I go to relax and I love the people there. I'm 72 years old and I have had cancer. Salon Picasso is my safe place to go to forget all of that being old/sick stuff. Tamara makes my nails, which were always brittle and papery , look really beautiful. For the first time in my life, my nails look healthy. Darla makes my skin glow and that's a lot because radiation and the drugs you take for cancer take their toll. This is stylist specific. The salon itself is fine but man o mighty they have a hairstylist who cannot use a Dryer and a brush I walked out with frizzy hair straight home to redo my own head. Usually I walk out of a salon checking out my hair over and over because it has the salon look. The sad thing is she offered to flat iron my frizzy damp hair to correct her mess. OMG I just got the best haircut I have ever gotten. Tanja was amazing. Better than amazing. I am a man. I was hesitant to go into a salon that caters predominantly to women. But I am so glad I did. Not for one moment did I feel uncomfortable. Everyone was so welcoming. Tanja boasts a ton of experience in cutting men's hair. But even with decades of experience, this woman is incredibly talented. I had an appointment with Audrey at 1:30.I am a first time client and showed up a few minutes early. I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes with NO one asking me they could help or welcomed me to the salon. I finally got someone's attention. The front desk staff was busy talking and laughing with other staff. She said the hairdresser Audrey is still working with another client now . Why have an appointment! Perhaps Audrey could have come over to let me know how much longer I would have to wait. Not a good way to welcome a new customer. She was loud and rude. Would never recommend this salon. Not welcoming and provide poor customer service. read more

Horrible experience. Color washed out in a week, had to be redone. Screwed up the color on the redo. Cut was a hack. They take appointments for new customers on short notice, because their work is bad. It is owned by a nail person, don't go for your hair. read more

I love this place. I am older and I feel self conscious doing anything for myself. When I go to Salon Picasso, they know just what to do with mature skin and white hair. Darla makes my skin positively glow. Audrey and Tanya keep my long, fragile hair full and healthy. They are both great stylists. Owner Tamara does my nails and they look better than anythingI got in LA. She is an artist. I never thought my nails would look this good on my old skinny fingers but they look pretty d*** good. Salon Picasso even has unique clothes and jewelry. When I walk out of there I feel like I look beautiful for my age. Beauty is perfect health and that's the mantra of Salon Picasso. I cannot recommend this place more. If you want to look good for a good price, Salon Picasso is worth every penny you pay. My mother-in-law got me a pedicure with her manicurist Cheryl at Salon Picasso for my birthday. Cheryl is fabulous! This is by far the best pedicure I've gotten. Okay, atmosphere loses a point or so because of where they put the pedicure chairs, but it's far outweighed by the level of pampering your piggies will be receiving while you drift off into your happy place. I did not like this salon at all. Got my highlights done by Elena and she did not do good. The front part of my hair was orange. While the rest of my hair was sort of blonde but she blended the blonde terribly and it looked very choppy.
