So... let me tell you a little story: I was invited to help a friend shoot video at a wedding a couple weekends ago. I had an hour to kill, so I figured I should probably get a haircut. Not being from the Sisters area, I drove around to all the other salons and barbers in the area - none of which had any time for me. I decided to park and walk to this place "Salon Renaissance" that I had driven by a couple times. I was greeted by the very helpful and cordial proprietor, already a far-cry in professionalism from the other businesses I had stopped by. He informed me that he was just finishing up with another customer and would be available to cut my hair in 30 minutes. Out of options, I waited outside for the gentleman to finish up. In about 15 minutes he poked his head out of the door and invited me in. The establishment was well designed, bright, and inviting. The stylist (Tim?) made pleasant (not forced) and interesting conversation. He was both artistically inclined and precise - one of the added bonuses of male stylists... and had me out of there in no time at all. The biggest benefit? - it's been two weeks and my hair STILL looks great!! And all for about the same price as you would pay at your average Great Clips/Sports Clips - type place. Not only would I recommend this establishment whole-heartedly, I would say if you live in the central Oregon area you SHOULD drive out of your way to visit this gentleman - don't waste your time or money anywhere else. read more

Tim is incredible. He's so incredibly talented, really an artist. In the way that Da Vinci was able to see the beauty in a chunk of stone and release it, Tim is able to look at the hair and create a stunning masterpiece. I don't know how he does it. When he cuts my hair, its like he's creating a sculpture. I know that I can bring him in a picture or tell him what I'm looking for and he delivers. Every. Single. Time. I hadn't been in to the salon for a long time. My hair was very long and I decided to make a huge change. I had every confidence in Tim. What he did with my hair is nothing short of amazing. I decided to have it cut short, but they way he cut it makes it extremely versatile. Also, in addition to all of this, he's a really cool guy. I always feel comfortable talking with him. And when there's a lull in the conversation, it's a companionable silence, never awkward. I really missed seeing him, and missed the amazing hair he's given me. I am 60 and I had highlights put in my hair about a month ago that turned my hair from brown to grey and orange highlights. ( Really orange, and grey) I also had a hair cut ( I have long hair about to the middle of my back) I wanted layers and what I ended up getting was one of the worst hair cuts I have ever had. I was so sad over my hair I went out on line and read what the young lady wrote on 6/18/2016 and decided I would take a change. I have not been able to find a hair dresser who really understand my hair and it sure showed. Ronnica spent 4 hours fixing the highlights and the hair cut. I always look forward to seeing Tim Wescott for a haircut - he is a true artist, a very interesting person and altruistic (he set up a work shop to teach young women hair design skills in a small village in a Central American country to help them have a safe career with good income.) It was such a relief to get a referral to Salon Renaissance after my move here from Portland in January 2014. Tim listens carefully to what you are interested in having him do- with my last haircut I wanted to try something quite different and brought in a couple of photos and a Bottega Veneta ad featuring a model with a very extreme version of what I was trying to describe. Coming from Portland, OR I didn't think it was possible to find a stylist in Central Oregon that does the quality of work that Tim does. I receive compliments on my hair all the time. I especially like that Tim keeps it fresh and edgy. The value adds the salon offers is beyond what I have ever experienced.
