I wish I could give this business 0 or negative stars. The most unprofessional salon I have ever been to. I had made a 3pm appt 4 days ago so I called the salon at noonish to confirm. I walk in the salon at 5 minutes to 3:00pm and the lady at the counter calls Monica, my stylist, to inform her that I have arrived and also reminds her that she also has a 3:30pm appt. Monica had gone to get her nails done so by the time Monica arrives, it is 3:15pm. I was not happy having to sit in the chair (yes the coworker had me sitting in the chair waiting for her)but I figured that anyone can run late. No big deal. Monica looks at me and asks if I need a hair wash. I said whatever she thinks and she starts to tell me how her 3:30pm appt is already here and that she doesn't have time to do a hair wash so she will just wet my hair. Now I am furious. I wasn't late, she was and she had the audacity to tell me that she doesn't have time to wash my hair. So I apologized and said that I didn't think 15 minutes was enough time for my haircut. I stood up and started walking towards the door and she started talking behind my back with her coworker and her 3:30pm appt. Really Lady!!!! You couldn't even wait for me yo walk out before you start talking about me? Very very disappointed with her. Also, it is a beautiful salon but they have totally let it run down. First time I came in here was mid-day on a weekday and the woman working was on the phone with her friend. When she got off, she asked me if I could wait a few minutes. "Of course!," I replied... assuming she had other customers in the back or something important. But no, she wanted to finish styling her own hair... I patiently waited for her to finish blowing out her hair, but at this point I was pretty turned off. I told her I wanted to get my face waxed so she threw a dirty white towel on my shoulders. It had black scruff marks and pink wax on it from previously being used on others. She quickly threaded my eyebrows and waxed my face. I kindly pointed out there were still little hairs on my eyebrows, which she did try to remove with the thread, but they were so close to the surface so they should've been plucked instead. I had to intensely pluck when I got home and my sideburns were very uneven. I came back a few times because the prices were a lot more reasonable than other salons. Only $15 for eyebrows and full face wax, which is amaze considering my genetic make up requires me to wax relatively often, but every time the service makes me question why I came back. read more

SALON SIMRAN is one of the ONLY salons that I have been able to trust with doing my hair, eyebrows etc; it's like if u want to pamper yourself , Salon Simran is the place. The staff is very nice and friendly and is also very efficient in their work. The place is very neat and there is no untidiness in the work as well. The owner, Monica, is a sweetheart. I have been getting my eyebrows done here for years. The biggest pro: affordability. It only costs $4 for an eyebrow threading. I am BEYOND picky with my eyebrows and all through my teenage years would get very upset after a wax if they even slightly messed up my shape. I've never ever ever had that issue here. They do a great job keeping the shape of my brow and making the two brows match as evenly as possible. People compliment my eyebrows all the time. They staff have all always been nothing but polite to me. The owner seems very sweet & friendly. Con: wait times. If coming at a peak time on a weekend expect to wait. Typically though they are pretty empty and I am seen right away. My other con is this place doesn't really have a great ambiance to it; however, this is minor. I'm here to get my eyebrows threaded, not hang out so this doesn't really matter to me (but it does for others so I included it in my review). read more

Woman who runs the front desk that is not Indian needs to work on being more articulate on the wait time Few minutes turned into a 30 minute wait - definitely not the friendliest front desk staff and their facial rooms have zero ambience and bring in a ton of noise. It's cheap but they rush with their job. It is hard to get the eyebrows you want and they either overthread or leave hairs. There is no in between. They barely communicate and they thread or wax too quickly to be precise. read more

I have been going to Salon Simran from quite sometime. I like their services, I often go there for hair color and threading. They do a good job with that. I have also got hair cut and blow dryed my hair few times, it was nice too. Owner Monica is a very sweet and friendly person and does provide quality service. read more

I would not even rate a star if given an option Had a haircut there just a regular hair trim to cut my split ends and give it a shape OMG this was the worst worst day of my life so far She turned my chair side ways and there was no way to see what the hell she was doing 10 mins and it was all done . i looked up she literally chopped it so damn short and that too the right side longer than the left and so uneven , i did not realise the hair was so uneven until i reached home and then saw it looked so weird that being said the women charges me $40 without a hair wash -JUST SIMPLE PLAIN HAIRCUT -She calls herself Monica and was talking to all the other women around her without paying any attention . Please do not visit them. Not even if you dont have any option. I wish I could give minus stars. They are not at all trained. I went there for eyebrows and upperlips, i had to ask that lady for 6 times to clean small hair between my eyebrows which was weird and still i am not at all satisfied with my eyebrows as i feel one of my eyebrow is thinner than other. Secondly i asker her to wax my upperlips, she literally burnt me there. Now i am having that black burnt mark over my lip which is horrible horrible horrible. I will never get there anymore. I used to go here pretty often but past one year haven't been very frequent totally shocked by the way the waxing was done after waxing the same strip was folded oil was applied on it and applied on my hands that was waxed I also mentioned to the beautician her name was S...jana. Her response was ok alright and apparently wasn't even doing the waxing right. This place isn't close to my house but I used to come here but now I don't think, I will ever come here . I was not pleased with their services. I went to get my upper lips done and the woman started to talk about how much she hates people of other race. I didn't feel comfortable going back to the salon afterwards. There is no such thing as customer service the people at the salon play favoritism. I would give this place a negative rating if that was an option. I walked in to find this lady with headphones sitting in one of the eyebrow chairs yelling at me asking me what I needed. She then made me sit down for eyebrows when half way through another woman comes and tells her to take me in to do my waxing. So far no sign of any professional courtesy or frankly any kind of trained staff either. Her technique at waxing is so bad that after 10 mins I change my mind and tell her to stop and basically run out of the salon to my old salon which is like 30 mins away. The place is disgusting and dirty! They have dirty towels used gowns and wax dropped all over the floor. I am actually surprised they are allowed to exist even... Am certain they are way behind any of the basic hygiene checks that salons are supposed to have in place. I am now looking for an appropriate authority to report this shoddy place. Very very bad experience. When I waited for a beautician whom I know could do the job quick and neat, I was being treated so rude by the same beautician.. customers requests were never been taken care of. Every time when there is a need to request for better service, customers are being treated badly, which make them feel very uncomfortable. Since the price is little lower than other places, customers are being taken for granted. Seriously looking for a better option. read more

Most disgusting customer service ever: I have been there for facial. she applied bleach over my face and said that she will be back after 10 min. I was left like that for about 35min. She dint even have common sense of closing door behind her which I realized when some guy was walking into each open door to find restroom.I was semi undressed wearing an apron. It was so embarrassing. After 35mins she came back with her hands smelling spicy Indian food.She was burping over my face and dint even say "excuse me". Later she applied a pack over my face and left it for more than 30mins. She was gossiping with friends out loud in Gujrati language. When she came back it was so much dried up that she was unable to remove pack and my hair was not properly tied up before starting facial and it got stuck terribly into that dried pack. She panicked and called her friend and they both talked for a while and she started pulling it so hard that I felt like screaming out loud and running away. Dried little pieces of pack were over my face which were very hard to remove and she was rubbing them hard with a cloth so badly that my entire face developed rashes.
