I am absolutely in love with my haircut! Karlos was so awesome! He guided me through my haircut and set expectations from the beginning based on the inspo pics I had. It was such a great experience, I felt so comfortable and the vibe was great! Definitely recommend!

I have been going to Karlos now for almost 2 years! His work is amazing! The first time I came to him he did a balyage and it was just simply stunning! He worked his magic with such a beautiful color! I visit him every 5 weeks for my touch ups. He does my trims every visit and let me just add that it has helped my hair growth tremendously! He has a great hand for sure! He is very professional and knowledgeable about colors, hair cut styles, you name it! He is very honest as well. What I truly like about Karlos is when I think I want to switch things up, he tells me whatever you like hun. And he does give me his honest opinion. Let's just say, all I knew going into my appointment with Karlos is that I wanted something different and I wanted a change. I had virgin hair and I wanted to go lighter. I knew nothing about balayage, root shadowing etc, but Karlos walked me through different options and explained everything to me before we started. I felt comfortable in his hands. I'm super happy with my results and have been getting so many compliments. He talked to me about after care but never pushed products or extra services. I made a next day appointment for Friday and Jennier was able to see me. Prior to booking an appointment, I sent a photo of my hair and the style i want. Jennifer quoted me the price so that there is no surprise charges on the day! Her quote is reasonable and includes balayage for my hair, treatment, and hair cut. She even curled it at the end. As for my hair, it has some damages from bleaching (which is inevitable) but it definitely is soft from the marvelous treatment. Jennifer was very professional, she worked on my mid-back length and thick hair quickly. She is also friendly and such a great person to talk you! I am definitely going back to her!

I was desperate for a haircut. The owner responded on yelp so quickly and Karlos texted me shortly after to schedule an appointment next day. He is so talented. I appreciate Vanessa Larriva so much as my stylist- she's not only passionately great at what she does, she cares so much about keeping my hair long and healthy while changing looks! She does not rush at all, which I love. This was my second time getting my hair done by her. I'm naturally brunette and I've never trusted anyone better to go lighter with virgin hair (this time I went full blonde as opposed to mild/safe balayage). Her level of detail with the highlights is unmatchable. She not only toned it an extra time to make sure the color was right, but she also added a "shadow" between my roots and the highlights so there was a seamless transition (especially for when the roots grow out). She's an absolute professional with her work and based on what I saw from her staff's clients that day, there is a high caliber of quality from all staff of this salon. I do spend a few hours at the salon when I visit, so they all make sure I'm comfortable and treated well with refreshments, etc. It is absolutely worth it for the outcome. I also consider Vanessa my "Hair Doctor." The first time I visited, she recommended a leave-in conditioner to keep my ends from splitting especially since I use hot irons often. I fell in love with it and ended up having friends try it who eventually bought it themselves. This time she recommended a treatment to keep my hair from drying and burning out - to no surprise, it works! Ironically this time I won't be using a hot iron as often with my hair because she cut it in a way that made me fall in love with my natural straight look. She kept my bangs long and cut them up to where my lips are which adds some texture and character to my long hair. I've recommended Vanessa to quite a few friends now and her schedule fills up with return customers. Both times I've left the salon I've genuinely felt a boost of confidence. I highly recommend scheduling weeks if not a whole month and a half ahead. It's always worth the wait! read more

I have been wanting to do my hair and this salon had the most positive reviews and I rely on reviews a lot so I sent them a message and Karlos responded to me and we had a consultation over the phone and I showed him what I wanted he gave me my hair dreams I love my hair. Short version: I love this salon! And I owe every compliment i get about my hair to Kelly Churnside! Long Version: Other than packing the worse thing about moving to a new place is finding a new salon. Its risky! Sure hair grows back but.... Who really has time for that? Who has the time day in and day out to look at themselves in the mirror with Hair Horror? NOBODY. Salon So-Me, lives up to their name. Thank you Vanessa for my amazing hair! It took me awhile to find the perfect salon, but I'm glad my friend referred me to Vanessa! My first time here and my expectations were exceeded! I was so nervous to dye my hair blonde again because of past experiences at other salons, but Jennifer gave me exactly what I wanted. I love this salon! Everyone is so nice and friendly they make you feel welcomed. I've been going to Maricris for over 10 years, she's seriously the BEST!! I've tried other stylists (at other salons and because I'm impatient) but, I always come back to Maricris! Her haircutting skills are unparalleled. She's saved me from some pretty bad haircuts. I walked in on a Wednesday (no appointment) I asked a woman "do I need an appointment to be seen?" She explained she was with a client but could work on my hair in between developers and what not. I didn't mind and agreed to be fit in. The woman who took me was Vanessa she was very nice and welcoming and made sure I was satisfied throughout the process. My hair was wrecked to say the least when I arrived and when I left I was smiling and happy with the results. She fixed a bad hair cut I had received and made sure I was happy. I give this salon 5stars because Vanessa is absolutely AMAZING! I came across her Instagram and saw all the wonderful work she's done and I called to get an appointment she was very flexible with squeezing in a new client and very welcoming. Not only am I obsessed with how my hair turned out but the customer service she provided as well as the cost was very reasonable. This salon is also up to date with COVID-19 guidelines as Vanessa sanitized everything down right away after each client. I would recommend anyone to book with Vanessa. I've been coming to salon So-Me for a couple of years now with Vanessa, and I never ever leave disappointed. Her work is always flawless. She is very thorough and pays close attention to details. First time getting my hair done here with Vanessa and immediately I was greeted once I walked in for my appointment. The stylists that were all working were super friendly and talking to their clients like they were family. I really adored that! Vanessa was recommended to me from a friend and I'm so happy I went to her. She was the sweetest person and brought my dull dark brown hair to a soft black. I was very happy with the results! I mentioned to Vanessa that I am getting married in 6 months and doing my own hair so she took the time as she was styling my hair explaining to me how to properly curl my hair. I just want to tell everybody how I'm so in Love with Jennifer's technics Of styling , she has taken Years off Me by picking just the right colors that compliment My skin color . She has taken a 50 something year old and made me look Like I'm in my 40s , as a faithful Client I Referred Jennifer to All my dearest Friends. I have seen on Her instagram PhotoCollage All Of Her Fabulous work , Cuts and Highlights, and Color Correction!! I have gone to so called stylist and they Damaged My hair Praise The Lord Jennifer was able to Restore My Beautiful Hair I couldn't stop looking in the Mirror I wanted to cry how Beautiful I Felt . I had been going to Jennifer for probably a little over a year. Up until the past two visits, I loved how my color turned out. The cut I was never over the moon about, but the color was beautiful. I was wanting to go from a balyage blonde to carmel. The first time, I left with my hair looking copper. The second time, the SAME thing but what's worse is the "carmel" in the back was all different hues of yellow and orange. I found out by a coworker who brought it to my attention and took a picture to show me. I mean I can't thoroughly see the back and trusted Jennifer. At THIS visit, Jennifer had two other clients including myself all while answering her husband's phone calls. This juggling REALLY bothered me but I'm short on time and days I'm available. Trying to jam so many clients in a short period is not only unprofessional but greedy. We're paying you for a service. Give us the service we deserve. When I reached out to Jennifer about the color, she replied I need "toner". Jennifer, had you toned me right the first time, I WOULDN'T have had the hair color I did. Mind you at this point, it was only 6 wks from my INITIAL appointment with her. I requested half back to be fair to both of us. SHE NEVER REPLIED. NOT ONCE DID SHE RESPOND OR TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT with me. I thought she was better than this but I was wrong. What's worse, is she LET ME LEAVE THE SALON knowing my hair looked the way it did. Do your damn job. So, I had to go somewhere else, pay an additional $205 and the hairdresser pointed out my cut was botched. So, now I tell everyone I know not to go to her, show them the pictures and explain. Way to run a business girl P.S. Referring your clients to mark my review as funny, doesn't take away from the fact that my review is 100% true. Your work was shit. read more

Made an appointment earlier in February with Jennifer to finally change up my hair after 4 years of plain black hair. As you can tell, I was pretty attached to my hair, afraid to commit to any type of change. However, after looking all around yelp for a person who I can trust my long black asian hair with, I found myself here, amazed by Jennifer's work. When I arrived to the salon, I was greeted with a warm & kind welcome from Jennifer! I was seated right away, she listened to what I wanted, and started to do her magic. She's so genuine and makes you feel very comfortable, by conversing with you and making you feel welcome. I expected to be at the salon practically the whole day considering the amount of hair I had, and how my hair had some previous dye in it. However, I was there for only about 4 hours! And the results were incredible, I love my hair! If you're the type of person that wants some change to your hair, trust Jennifer! She's so amazing, and you won't be disappointed! read more

Finally got me hair done with Eric today. He's been my go to guy for 10 years now and at this point he's also a friend. I love Eric. It's always a good time with him. He listens carefully to all my hair concerns, answers all my questions, and we work together to design a new color strategy for me. It's a co-creation with Eric and that's what I love most. He gave me this awesome color and cut today. And I loved the way he styled it too. Just in time for my date this week. I can finally walk the streets feeling like a decent human being. Lol. Never been happier with any color work than the one done by Jennifer. She has such an amazing energy, and offers great advice and expertise. After showing her a photo of what I wanted, she was able to tell me how she was going to approach it so that it would still look good as my hair grows out. This was probably the best experience I've ever had. I had Eric and he was sweet, funny and very nice to talk to!! Plus he did an amazing job on my hair! I've never gotten it high lighted before but he did an amazing job and I'm in love w my new hair also it was very easy to get an appointment and everyone who works there are all out going and very professional and amazingly friendly. I have been going to Vanessa for the past year. My sister recommended I go to her after I was tired of my auburn hair. I wanted to go from auburn to a lavender/purple color. Vanessa gave it to me straight, it wouldn't be an immediate change. I had a blonde balayage for quite some time, until my hair was ready for my lavender/purple hair. I am extremely happy with the results! I I get compliments everywhere I go. Even when I had my blonde balayage the compliments would pour in. Everyone at Salon So-Me does a great job. I went in on tuesday to see Kelly. When I went in, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. It was damaged and felt terrible, but I wanted a change. I'm a natural blonde but I've been bleaching my hair to platinum for a few years now. I recently went titanium but didn't know if I wanted that. After my consultation with Kelly, we decided to go a pearl blonde color. She gave me a deep condition and a cut. Not only is my color absolutely amazing, but my hair feels better than it has in SO long. I will definitely be returning to Kelly for any and all future hair needs. The salon itself is adorable! Reservation fee: He required a $50 reservation fee via Zelle, that went towards service. Franks assistant might work on your hair with him and in his place: He used me to train his assistant, Eliana, how to do the balayage with him and also in his place when he needed to tend to another client he was still working on. She was sweet and helpful, and the highlights turned out good under Frank's supervision. He uses a method of teasing the root, spraying it with hairspray, and then applying the lightening mixture, to get that seamless look. Eliana also did my haircut which was unexpected since I booked with Frank, not his assistant. It took her a while to cut it, and it turned out just ok. From what she said she is newer to the industry unlike Frank with many more years of experience. Time: It took about 5 hours for the balayage, toner, and cut. Overpaying at this salon: Another stylist in the salon was rudely talking about how much more she was charging new clients compared to old clients. Frank kept a neutral vibe while she ranted on about not needing anyone if they don't want to pay her higher price. This didn't sit well due to the fact that I paid hundreds more at this salon to see Frank than I have anywhere else to get my hair done. She didn't mention anything about her expenses going up due to inflation, just that she's making so much more from new clients now. The combined total to Frank and Eliana was $562.00 for the cut, balayage, toner and tips to each. I won't be returning as the experience and result was not stellar for the premium price. For the same service, my previous hairdresser in Pasadena was in the mid-high 300s w/tip (and this was after raising her prices a few years ago- it used to be low 300s) and my new hairdresser in Rancho Cucamonga is in the low 300s w/tip.

And her excuse was she was busy... like common you were doing my hair and when you weren't you were just on your phone, actions speak for themselves... then on the day of appointment she asks if I can schedule an hour later because she's running late. My time is as valuable and much more than you just for being a mom. She asks if i can show her my inspo pics, i pull them show them to her, we talk about how blonde I want to achieve without damaging my hair much then immediately starts foiling my whole hair, I stop her and tell her that it's not what i want, I ask for baby highlights all over my hair, leaving Yes, she has to weave my whole hair and yet she still continues to foil my hair as if we didn't discuss anything. We get to the washing part the rinsing part and tell her immediately I don't like my hair there's too much darkness, I had to keep explaining what I wanted because why!? I thought she was a blonde specialist and knows what the customer me wanted from the inspo pics. Translation from pictures is obvious. She said she can fix it and there she goes again and rebleaches my hair, like seriously no care for my fragile hair and damaging it more then needed to begin with. At the end i check my hair all over, yes she got it blonder but was it necessary to reprocess my hair again. NO! To top it off I still had harsh lines and I o brought it up, just to be asked if I wanted to go darker!? Seriously!? What a waste of day and time! I spent 10 hrs there when my hair should have been done in the 6 hours. Still asking if I wanted to go darker!? No ! Do your job efficiently and right the first time. I left with harsh lines and over processed hair, and she calls herself a blonde specialist. Yeah you charge the price of a blonde specialist which I don't mind paying if the job was correctly done! But you definitely did not deserve my money! Lemma , you should be embarrassed for having your assistant refer me out to someone as professional as yourself.

She responded that she had removed a lot of volume but his hair need to grow more to achieve that look Wth!!!! So what did I actually pay $60 for ? For her to clean it? What was the purpose of doing all this research and confirming with them before the cut that this was something they can actually do!? I'm in sales and avoid bringing people in just to make the sale if you're not going to give them what they want! Have morals and set real expectations. The only difference from when my son walked in and when we left was less volume and she comb it. I'm still asking my self where is the "wolf's cut" that I paid for!!???? Never got it!

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

This review is for Jennifer I have been going to Jennifer for over 3 years now and needless to say she always leaves my hair perfect! She is very understanding and will tell you what she can and cannot work with which is why she is an amazing hair dresser. I value her opinion and her work so much. Thank you Jennifer for always keeping my hair A1 (xxxrtaa bomb). I go to Jennifer about 2-3 times a year and let me tell you even when my roots have grown out my hair still looks good! She has magical hands and is very welcoming along with others in the salon! You will never be disappointed with her work. I would/will always throw my hands in the fire for Jennifer's work! I love this place. My sister discovered this salon and told me I had to go in. The salon is stylish chic, clean and everyone is friendly. The owner Vanessa goes out of her way to make you feel at home. They also carry a variety of hair products for all hair needs. I get my hair styled by Jennifer. She has been doing my hair for almost 2 years. I was hesitate on getting my hair down because I was self-conscious because I had alopecia. Jennifer made me feel comfortable and was very careful to my needs. I trust her with my hair needs, she is honest and always walks me through every process. I highly recommend this place. read more

I love visiting the Salon So-ME! Every time I arrive, I am greeted by the friendly front desk staff. Everyone there is so welcoming and I love the consistency of the salon. I know that when I sit in the salon chair, I will leave fabulous. I see Vanessa and she had been doing my hair since last year. Since that time, I arrive and can easily fall asleep while she styles my hair. I know that once I wake, my hair is fabulous. I appreciate that she knows exactly how I like my hair, and since then, the integrity of my hair has improved. I have been going to Eric since I was 16, I am now 24. He's been retouching my silver hair since 2015 and my hair is still as healthy as it was the first time we dyed it. My hair hasn't broken off because Eric knows what he is doing. I have been told by other hairstylists that my hair is in great shape considering I bleach it so much. I wouldn't trust my hair with anyone but Eric. I trust him so much with my hair that sometimes I'll just tell him to "surprise me" and I'm in love every time. Went in to see Eric,I had a couple of ideas of what I wanted but was still undecided. I talked to Eric and showed him the pictures and he got the idea of what I was looking for....not too short and not too long which the pictures were of both. He did dye my hair a beautiful chocolate brown and then cut it. To say I'm happy about it is not quite true. I love it. Even if I dont want to style it, I can air dry and it does its thing. It looks great. That is what a great hair cut does. I've recieved so many compliments both ways. Loving my layers amd bangs. read more

I've been to many salons before but I am fortunate to now have a fabulous stylist and an accessible location. Jennifer is truly an expert at what she does and isn't pushy but rather explains the pros and cons. I wanted to try grey highlights but she advised me on the process (wouldn't last) and suggested an alternative. Well, I love, love, love how my hair turned out! She is also very personable, engaging, and truly an absolute expert at her trade. I definitely look forward to my visits and will be back! :) Thank you!! read more

All I have to say is Jennifer is an amazing hairstylist. I was referred to her by one of my good friends who recently got her hair corrected by Jennifer. I was so amazed by the outcome, I decided to make a drive from Newport to see what magic she can work on me. I was so impressed with her work. Vanessa has been my hairdresser for longer than I can remember. I started going to Vanessa in college and have been so pleased with my hair that I continue to drive from Los Angeles to Covina to get my hair done. She is great with color matching and finding a hair style that works for "you". So-ME also carries great hair products to help maintain between visits, aka "liquid gold". My friend recommended me to see Vanessa a few years ago. Ever since my first appointment I was hooked. I have been going to Vanessa for my hair care needs for over 7 years now. I could not have a better hair dresser. She is amazing. I've had my hair long, medium, short, highlighted, ombré and dark and never once have I been disappointed. Salon So Me makes you feel brand new walking out. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, they make you feel comfortable with your visit. The environment is great and they always play good music. Vanessa has been doing my hair for years and I am always leaving the Salon feeling refreshed. Jennifer has been doing both mine and my girls hair for years! She always treats my girls w the most care and gives them exactly what they want, they leave feeling like princesses. She has done both cut and color on me and I have never been disappointed. She not only takes the time to hear what I want but she is a total sweetheart and always exceeds my expectations. I started coming here a couple of years ago and I will never step in to another hair salon. Vanessa has been styling my hair since and never fails to satisfy me! I always show her a picture of the hair that I want and she is always honest and will tell me if it's truly achievable. I love her! Eric did my hair and I absolutely love him. He's been my hairdresser for 5 years because he does my hair exactly how I want it every time. If you want someone who will do your hair exactly how you like it go to Eric! He even buys different hair toner for me because he knows what color I always want. He's hilarious and super nice, I wouldn't think of trusting anyone else with my hair. read more

So I let my friend dye my hair red cause I was dying to have red hair lol ..it turned orange, yellow, pink I don't even know on top of that it was so damaged I had to cut it and it was just so bad . lol BUT THANK GOD TO JENNIFER! Although all the hairstylists at this location seem to do a good job I always trust Jennifer with my color & cuts. She knows what's best for your hair to not damage it. I've gone platinum blonde with her, purple, & red. Ive never been dissatisfied! Side note the restroom is always clean and they have some great hair products for sale there!! read more
