At my highlight appointment last December, I clearly explained that I wanted the front of my hair to be very bright with a thick money piece. Instead, I was given a very thin money piece and had to ask for the front to be bleached again during the appointment because I wasn't happy with it. Since my hair is already thin, I was nervous about bleaching the same area twice. When I got home, I noticed the bleach had not processed long enough and the front of my hair looked very gold. I reached out to have it fixed, but I had difficulty getting a response and had to double text just to hear back. Fast forward to my appointment this May, and the exact same issue happened again. Before the appointment, I even sent a reference photo on Instagram showing the thick money piece I wanted. Again, the front turned out much thinner than requested. I chose not to complain during the appointment because I didn't want the same pieces bleached twice again. However, when I got home, I noticed there was a dark patch completely missed in the front/top of my hair that is extremely noticeable. I reached out on Instagram, since that is normally how we communicate, and received no response for two days. I then texted her directly, got a couple responses, and then was ghosted again. I completely understand that mistakes happen, and I'm not expecting perfection. What upset me most was the lack of communication and customer service afterward. The first time, I had to go to my mom's wedding unhappy with my hair, and now I'm dealing with this right before my college graduation. I really valued her work, which makes this even more disappointing.

My son was very itchy afterwards so I showered him and found adult hair shavings all over his neck. I like a good deal but hygiene is important.

One side is approximately an inch and a half longer than the other, and the two sides are styled and cut completely differently. One flips out and has noticeable bulk and length, while the other sits flatter and shorter. This is not a subtle difference. Even photos make it obvious, and multiple people -- including an AI image review tool -- immediately noticed the imbalance without being prompted. That says a lot. What makes this more frustrating is that I mentioned during the appointment that I live in a remote area where it's hard to get haircuts or corrections, so this isn't something easy for me to fix quickly. I'm not sure how I will fix this before I go to work on Monday. It is much worse than my self cut I requested to be fixed. When hair isn't styled before a client leaves, it can be difficult to catch major inconsistencies in the cut right away. I genuinely did not realize how uneven it was until later when I was back at my hotel and able to look at it more carefully myself. I also want to add that comments or conversations about clients as they are walking out the door can make people feel extremely uncomfortable and self-conscious, especially when they later realize there was a major problem with the service they received. I understand mistakes happen, but this haircut feels careless and inconsistent, and the unevenness absolutely should have been caught before I left the salon.
