She also explained her technique to me as she was doing it and how it would affect the end result. I loved that she gave me that level of understanding. She also explained blew dry my hair beautifully. I recently had a baby and couldn't go in for my full service because of my breastfeeding schedule, and she explained how we could modify my service for a shorter session that would get me to the next time we meet for a longer session. I can't tell you how much i appreciated that level of understanding and flexibility. I would definitely recommend Natashia to others, especially if they're looking for blonding services. The space itself was very clean and had a boho southwest vibe too. It's dry cute and Natashia told me that the owner made the drift wood light fixture over the hair-washing sinks herself! That said, it doesn't come cheap; my highlights and layer trim were $300. I used a level-2 stylist, so it was $75/hour. After the complimentary consultation where we discussed at length my expectations, we booked a four-hour appointment on her professional estimation. Sounded close to right (previous experiences elsewhere were easily over 3 hours). But the actual appointment was 5 hours long! Yikes. Sylvia did a meticulous job of highlight foils, and my hair is very thick, so the timing, though surprising, was not without reason. By the time she'd finished the semi-blowout, the color was no-hum though. She asked my thoughts and agreed with me that the desired red was not nearly met. She booked a follow up at my earliest availability, free of charge of course, to re-tone. The second attempt was about two hours after styling, and just about perfect. The color is almost exactly like the sample I provided. It is a subtle but noticeable change that looks very natural, but with a coppery pop. The trim was perhaps too minimal, but to her credit, I told her my exclusive curly-cut stylist back East would be seeing me in 6 weeks and is territorial enough to keep me hesitant of betraying her with another haircutter. As such, we had agreed upon a simple layer cleanup. I am extremely happy with the service, with the product, and with the experience in general. Sylvia was delightful and very attentive and interested in ensuring I was happy. Lord knows I've had more experienced stylists impart DISASTROUS results, and not nearly as gracious about remediating.
