This is my Mom's go to spot for getting her nails done. They are LONG and she keeps them that way…read more She's got her favorite person and goes to her every time. If she's not there, no nails will be done! Ha! So, she needed to get her nails done because one was coming off. I tagged along for a pedicure. I made an appointment with whoever was available. When we got there, we both checked in and I headed for the bathroom. It was clean. Mom's nail tech was running behind so we waited. After a while they had me sit in a pedicure chair, while Mom still waited. The place is bright & airy. And even though it was quite busy, it didn't feel like we were packed in their like sardines. The woman completing a pedicure for a customer in the chair next to me asked me some questions to keep me engaged. Finally, I got a male tech. Mom said she though he was one of the owners or something. Either way, I didn't wait terribly long. He was a professional. Asked me if I was ticklish, which I am. He also worked around my healing, broken pinky toe. I'm sure I'll be back when visiting Mom and she has an appointment.

We were here from Texas and the pedicures were the same price except they don't have as many services, so I can't really comment on value. The spa was decently clean, and our feet look great!

Wow! This place is a treat! Surprisingly popular with men too (I overheard one customer talking…read moreabout how she wished her husband would come get his feet cleaned up because she always sees other men here, and during my visit I saw one man who was probably in his 60's finishing up before me, then while I was waiting for my ride another man who was probably in his early 80's!). My nail tech was fantastic. I appreciated that the tools used came out of one of those blue sanitary packs (post service I was offered the files that were used for my feet and toes to take home), and the products used were quality too. The scrub smelt delicious (fall/pumpkin season inspired) and felt perfect (not too rough, not too delicate). The polishes offered are Ella & Mila (I don't recall what the gel offerings were). I got the most expensive pedicure available at the time (#TreatYoSelf) as I was in town for a wedding and wanted to do something a little luxurious. After tax it was $75. Yes Natural Nail Boutique is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY but if there's no appointments available you can always try checking the following day (that's what I did; I checked on a Wednesday with no luck and then when I looked again on Thursday there suddenly was a Friday appointment available). The vibe is luxury without being uppity. Wish we had a place like this in Reno, NV! What a treat!

My tech made me feel welcome and did a great job on the nails. Perfect for a quick color change in a nice, relaxing environment.

I gotta be honest here- Moon Nails was one of the most overstimulating, jarring, frustrating nail…read moreexperiences I've had. Pros- if what you want is quick nails and basic colors, cool. You got it. Just be ready for it to hurt. Cons: These ladies are no holds barred when it comes to making you bleed, they used power tools on your feet to make them raw and if you get acrylic nails, they're gouging your nail bed with the Dremel till it burns. I'm not shy, I've spoken up and said it hurts. They apologize, and go right back to doing what hurt but now with more attitude! If you don't book an appointment with someone specific, you're likely going to get the least experienced nail tech, who is the most violent when handling your extremities. The vibe very much feels like "when you're here, you're an inconvenience". Want something special? Forget it- you're treated like even more of a hassle. Almost like they don't want to make the extra money from the add ons! They'll straight up look at your reference, say yes they can do it, then massively mess it up and try to gaslight you about its quality, having the least experienced tech just stumble through it in the most painful way, painting clear coat over chunks of dust, shaping your nails with absolutely no uniformity AND THEN letting you know the design you showed them was something they didn't know how to do. That info would have been great up front. This is a conveyor belt nail salon. They want you in and out as quickly as possible and they're gonna scream at each other with soothing spa music in the background. JFC. Get me out of here. *sigh* Honestly, I used to tolerate it. I thought that was just how the nail industry was. I thought it was supposed to hurt a bit, and that all nail places treated you like an inconvenience. That was- until I went elsewhere. I had revisited this place for a color change and quick pedi and FORGOT how much they abuse your tootsies, rip skin, sandpaper your heels (literally) and how they use their own nails to dig into yours and contort your hands in uncomfortable and unnatural ways. All that to say- it seems like they have some regulars, they're the most friendly to those customers. But from what I've seen, these people are getting something really basic and I guess they tolerate the abuse. Maybe they don't know there are other places out there that are gentle and calming. I have attached photos of what I asked for vs what I got. And it left me feeling like- am I color blind? Are they? My nails were messed up so bad I had to wait an additional 45 mins for the most experienced tech to attempt to gaslight me that the plum and brown cat eye were the same thing. At that point I just agreed to gtfo of there and quickly booked my color change at my usual spot. I made the mistake of not wanting to wait for my usual tech, thought I could just get a quick color change, but I was sorely disappointed. I'm never going back.
