I arrived on time, only to be told to stand to the side while she continued working on other clients. I waited about 15 minutes before she even came over to me. I explained that I was a bridesmaid and needed to be finished by 10:00 for my makeup appointment. She literally laughed and told me, "That's not going to happen. You won't be out until 10:45." This was for a simple low ponytail with light waves that I had already shown her. At 9:35, two assistants started curling my hair while Antonette continued working on her THIRD client since I had arrived for my 9:00 appointment. I repeatedly asked when I would actually be able to see Antonette, and nobody could give me an answer. By this point I was extremely upset and honestly on the verge of tears. At 9:55, her assistant finally asked if I could come back later to actually have my hair done. Obviously, I said no because I had a wedding to be in and a strict timeline that I had communicated from the beginning. I took off my cape and left without receiving the service I had booked. The worst part was that Antonette didn't apologize, acknowledge what happened, or even say anything as I left. She simply gave me a snarky look. I am not new to getting my hair or makeup professionally done. I understand that appointments can occasionally run behind, unexpected things happen, and sometimes a stylist needs extra time with a client. That is not what happened here. There was no meaningful communication, no attempt to accommodate me, no apology, and seemingly no respect for my time whatsoever. If you know you cannot accommodate a 9:00 AM appointment, then DON'T BOOK A 9:00 AM APPOINTMENT. And if circumstances change, I would hope some would have the basic professionalism to communicate that with your client BEFORE they spend their morning sitting around waiting. I booked this appointment a year in advance because I trusted that my appointment would be honored. Instead, I arrived on time and was treated like an inconvenience while I watched other clients get serviced before me. I ultimately left without receiving the service I had booked. The entire experience was incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly humiliating. I would never book with Antonette again, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend her to anyone who values punctuality, communication, or basic respect for their client's time.

I happened to notice a mutual friend posted about her stylist, Mark doing her hair, which it's always very nice and unique. And that's what I'm looking for. I generally stick with my same stylist that I've had for years, even though he's an hour away. I do jump around on occasion for change plus for the convenience of not having to drive so far. But it seems, once I found Mark, I've been going to him on a more regular basis. I'm always a last minute person, I can call the day of, and they find a way to fit me in if not the next day. The staff are all wonderful and accommodating. They are a family/team you could see the morale is high in the salon, as well as they are professional, yet personable. Mark listens and is open to understanding what I'm looking for, he takes time to look at pictures that I have as well as pulls out pictures of his own. He is up-to-date on the styles, offers suggestions, he is the first stylist that finally dealt with my impatient self to allow me to grow my hair out. It's working, all my friends have complimented me so far. Anyway, whether you see Mark or you see Wayne, or you see any of the ladies there you will not be disappointed. When I purchased the card in-store, I was never asked to provide a phone number, nor did I give one. I called the salon directly, and they confirmed they can see the balance in their system, yet I was told I still cannot redeem it. That is extremely frustrating. If the funds are visible and valid in the system, there should be a reasonable way to access and use them. There is also no expiration date listed on the card. The salon itself does quality work, and I would have gladly given 5 stars based on service alone, but this issue is unacceptable. As a business owner myself, I know how important it is to accommodate customers and resolve situations fairly. I sincerely hope management takes the time to review this matter and make it right.
