This place was recommended to us by a few locals and also was one of the few places in Williamsburg that was actually open on a Monday. It was on the pricier side for a Pizza shop, but it did have a little bit of a restaurant vibe. Our waiter was a bit gruff and impatient but sufficient enough. Our meals were good, although his sampler platter lacked and presentation. Up charge of $2.99 for Caesar salad as opposed to a House salad a little high in my opinion, especially when the salad came untossed and the dressing on the side. Caesar salad in my opinion should always be tossed with dressing, before serving especially when served on a plate. Even more so when you're up charging three dollars for the same said salad. My seafood pasta was good but not a thick creamy sauce as described more watered down and his sampler platter was doused with way too much sauce. Flavors were good and nice large portions. With a little more care and attention from staff it easily could have been a 5 star meal.

First time I visited this place was exactly 10 years ago and it was good. I went back a long time later, and it was absolutely terrible. First of all, the service was laughable as the waitress was obviously faking an accent. That was lame as hell. Secondly, the soup didn't even have actual rice in it. It was either soy product, or plastic. Resulted in a severe allergic reaction in someone that was in my party. The rest of the food was abysmal at best. Only things real about this place were the ridiculous prices and the awful side-effects. In one word: OVERRATED.

Went to Sal's by Victor two times while in Williamsburg. Both times I forgot the picture of my food. I'm attaching a photo from Google of the entree when my wife and I split a meal. Trust me you know The pizza is from a couple of nights ago when WEC first got into town. Today (NYE) the service was 2nd to none. The waitress had a great personality and very charming. Sal's by Victor is a genuine Italian place to get food. They have been around for several generations.

So we came to Williamsburg to bring in the new year at Marriott Ford's Colony. For our meal for the first night we chose Sals by Victor this was a delivery by DoorDash. Our meals my sister got the sampler, my chicken Alfredo and myself The lobster ravioli. We thought everything was good the lobster ravioli was decadent although I felt that it would have been better for the lobster meat itself to be on pasta with a cream sauce of sorts. My mom's fettuccine noodles were thick but had good flavor wasn't her favorite. My sister enjoyed her sampler and soup but said it needed salt all in all not bad for a first meal.

Our lunch started out nice. We ordered a bottle of Moscato and cheese bread with marinara. Both were very delicious! Unfortunately, this was the highlight of the lunch. I ordered the Penne alla Vodka with chicken. It was beautifully presented. I just wished it tasted as good as it looks. There was absolutely no taste! I only knew I was eating because I felt food in my mouth. I sent the penne back and ordered a calzone. There was no improvement. Perhaps, the kitchen was having a bad day. If you go, just have wine and cheese bread.

Enjoy our dinner here today. It's a big restaurant, but because of the spatial division it doesn't feel that big. Our room was beautifully decorated with pictures of Italy. We were enjoying our dinner, we had the Pizza Margarita and Vegetariano (the dough was fantastic), the Mussels and the half Italien Sandwich, Onion-rings, Garlic knots and a Salat. With drinks we paid $98 w/o tip. The food was really good and the red house wine was so good that we even bought a bottle to take it home. Why only 4 stars? The food unfortunately was not served together, the two pizzas came much later. If that would not have been, 5 stars would have been well deserved.

From starving to stuffed! This place is the real deal! Best eggplant Parmesan I've had in years! Also the pasta was really good! But the best thing on the menu is the homemade tiramisu! It was sooo incredibly good we had to bring two home to eat the following day! Really good place! There's a good reason it's packed but it's such a big place the lines move fast!

Delicious food the bread was the perfect crunch out soft inside, the oil and red vinegar mixture I ended up eating two baskets it's that fresh. I got the 4 cheese tortellini and my date got chicken Marsala and a sangria, my food was rich in cheese sauce the tortellini was hot and the perfect texture, I used the bread to sop up the last of the sauce. My dates were just as delicious, the server was very attentive despite the place filling up at the dinner time rush. The environment is part bakery in the front looking then beautiful art on the walls as you walk to seating was definitely worth the stop.

Not the type of restaurant you would find in a strip mall...We were staying about a mile away and were looking for places to eat. I came upon Sals menu and reviews. Decided to stop. The restaurant is deceivingly large. We arrived around 4:00 on a Saturday and were promptly seated. It was my youngest son, wife, and I. My youngest had chicken Alfredo, my wife had cavatoni alla capri, and I had the chicken francese. Each meal came with either soup or salad. We ordered a small batch of garlic bread to go with our meal. Portions were the perfect size. Not too much to be uncomfortable but you wouldn't be hungry in an hour. The chicken in my soup was plentiful. My dinner was outstanding. The service was impeccable. I only wish I had room to eat dessert. I can't recommend Sals enough. Next time I'm in Williamsburg and craving Italian food, I will certainly stop by. You don't want to miss out eating here.

5 Starts do not come close to how amazing this place is. The severs are so personable, helpful on the wine, food and desserts. This was so good we visited twice in 4 days. Pizza ia about as close to NY style you will find in the area. The chicken parm was the best I have ever had. The amount of food for the price is unbelievable. The location may be a surprise it is located in a strip mall. Go treat yourself to some of the best Italian food any where.

How the mighty have fallen. When we were investigating places to eat in the beginning of the year, this had been a favorite. I know that things have gotten expensive but sheesh, the prices here have gotten exponentially higher...but sadly the food quality isn't worth the price. We had planned on going to another place for dinner but it was closed. We were close enough to Sal's and thoughty why not, it's usually good food. Sigh. When we got there, they first took us all the way you the back of the restaurant usually for banquets and large tables. It was just the 3 of us. We wondered who we offended. It was very very warm in this room so we asked to move. We were seated right at the kitchen. Okaaaaay. We kept our order simple. I just got spaghetti with marinara, my niece got the special cacio de pepe, my mom got the flounder francaise. The cacio was ravioli in a heavy alfredo-esque sauce.... absolutely NO pepe. She had to pepper it heavily. The flounder came DROWNED in butter. It was supposed to be a light white wine & butter sauce. Nope. While my pasta was pretty basic, the sauce left much to be desired as it was far too sweet. Such a shame! This had been our go to Italian place. Even the wine changed. The house montepuliciano was just awful when before I wondered how they turned a profit with a $5 pour. Now it's double that price and a whole different quality. I feel so sad as it had been some of the best Italian in the area. Save the $$. Seek Italian elsewhere until they get their kitchen back in order.

    Does Sals take reservations?

I would assume that they do but would suggest calling them to confirm.

How many people do the "family feasts" serve?

Our family of six at the feast for two dinners and one lunch! To be safe, I'd say it feeds 10-12.

    Do they offer vegan food?

    Can't remember!

I've been all over Italy, Asia, and No America...and this is easily the best pizza I have ever had. The small pizza is still huge, even my 15yo couldn't finish the four slices. The service was attentive and wonderful. Our server was kind, helpful, and interacted really well with our kiddos. I will say that it's a little loud, so that could be overwhelming for some people. But the restaurant is super clean, the decor is fun, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect at a busy pizzeria. I cannot recommend this place enough. Like, I may actually travel the 3,000 miles back to Williamsburg again just for the pizza.

This was quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever ordered…read more The crust was thin, soggy, and completely lifeless. The cheese was essentially flavorless. But those were somehow not even the worst parts. Let's talk about the garlic. They used jarlic. Not fresh garlic. Jarlic. The wet, pre-minced stuff sitting in a jar of acid and preservatives. And you could absolutely taste it. It tasted less like garlic and more like someone poured citric acid over the pizza. That sour, metallic, preserved-garlic taste was everywhere. If your kitchen can make pizza but cannot be bothered to chop a clove of garlic, that tells me pretty much everything I need to know about the food. And then there was the spinach. I paid EXTRA for spinach. They put ONE piece of spinach on each slice. Literally. One. I actually had to look at the pizza for a moment because I couldn't believe someone had intentionally prepared it that way and then sent it out the door. One lonely piece of spinach per slice isn't a topping. It's evidence that spinach was once in the building. Charging extra for that is absurd. So, to recap: soggy crust, tasteless cheese, garlic from a jar that tasted like citric acid, and a paid spinach topping rationed out one leaf at a time. This wasn't mediocre pizza. Mediocre would have been an improvement. This was remarkably bad. The person who took my order was pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. That is the entirety of the positive feedback I have. I would not order this again if it were free. Never again

First them meal: Outstanding. The wifey and I both ordered small pizzas. Mine was the All Meat and the wifey ordered the Arugula and Prosciutto. Let me say again both were outstanding and tasted amazing. When talking about my old meat pizza out of the four or five meats on mine with standard it out above the others was the sausage. Had an absolutely wonderful flavor. But surprisingly it didn't overpower when it was combined with the other meats. As for the wife, this is the second time she's had this combination type Pizza. The first time was in an authentic Italian restaurant, but was in Mexico. Yeah, that's kind of crazy pizza in Mexico but at that location down there it was incredible enough to make my wife want it again and this is the first time we have found a location that served a similar pizza. The arugula was fresh, not welted and really popped with flavor. Now both the wife and I had to really agree that the crust for both pizzas was not that heavy dough type. It had a little fluff to it, making it not weighing in your belly after you eat it. Staff: our server was outstanding as well. Very intentive checked on us several times and we even had some conversation back-and-forth. I believe we may have talked also to the owner who was sitting out front. If nothing else he was the manager again another very friendly man that we enjoyed our conversation with. As for the location: we found it very clean. And well kept. If you look at my other past reviews at locations via visited the one thing we really base cleanliness on is sometimes the restrooms. Well, in a shared ladies/men room, it was also very clean and well kept. So I will say again, outstanding location, outstanding staff, and wonderful food. If you're in the area absolutely I would recommend this for your lunchtime meal. We absolutely look forward to going back at a later time and trying some of the other dishes they offer.

Traveling solo, I was staying next door to (shares the same parking lot with) the Fairfield Inn right off Richmond and Bypass Roads. Arrived and checked in late in the evening and once I was settled into my room, was too lazy to head out again into the cold Winter night to find a place to eat. This pizza joint was the easy, no-hassle option to call over for a carry-out pie and can of soda. My whole order was like $13 and was ready in like 15 minutes. Couldn't really ask for more than that. The worker manning the register was pleasant and friendly. The place inside is totally nothing to write home about - this place is basically a carry out and delivery operation so don't expect even an adequate sit down, dine in area. But it's fine for what it is. The pizza itself was pretty darn good for a $10 10" pie - perfect for 1. It was piping hot out of the oven, toppings were fresh and plentiful (no skimping on topping portions - see my pic), cheese was gooey, melty and stringy, hand tossed crust was chewy just-so. Guy supplied me with plates, plastic utensils, napkins and condiment packets (you have to ask for them). I was back in my hotel room in a flash. Couldn't ask for any more. Would I seek this place out if I wasn't staying steps away at the Fairfield Inn? No I would not. Sorry - truth. But if you're staying at the Fairfield and you're looking for a decent meal that's fast and cheap and conveniently located, go here. Prices are reasonable for what you get so as a student looking for a delivery meal deal, this is probably a good choice as well. Deserving of an average joe-blow 3 stars. Not a knock - just a very average pizza spot that serves its purpose and doesn't deserve more than that.
