I ordered food from here on a delivery app. Now the food came neat and nicely packaged. And the baked ziti was still pretty hot. I don't even live that close to this restaurant so I was impressed. Anyway, the salad was really fresh. I thought the dressing was really tasty. I am a dressing person and this was just awesome. I would buy it by the bottle if they sell it. Anyway, next I taste the rolls. These were good and definitely not overly garlicy or oily. I like them. So I had written in the notes on the order to please add extra sauce and charge me if necessary. I am a sauce person too and as you can see there was VERY little sauce. The pasta was cooked al dente. Sunday game day is on! My wife and I decided that instead of cooking, we would do a takeout. We shared a large thin crust pizza with pepperoni and green peppers. My wife also added on a side of fettuccine alfredo and garlic rolls. Pizza was nice and crispy and wasn't burnt underneath like how some other chains are known for. I had some of my wife's fettuccine and thought the sauce was very creamy and had a nice garlic taste. I just wish that the garlic rolls had a bit more garlic butter and parmesan, as it was more bread-roll like than a garlic roll, however, it was still good as a side dish. I always use this location as it is the closest and most convenient as it is next door to the Publix I shop at for groceries. The pizza at Sal's Italian Pizzeria is actually very good, but definitely on the pricey side. Despite that, I still placed an order -- only for it to be taken incorrectly by the receptionist, Nadine. When I arrived for pickup, the pizza was already made but in the wrong size because she entered it incorrectly. Instead of correcting the mistake quickly, the cook told me I'd need to wait an additional 30 minutes for a new one, which is crazy. For the prices they charge, the service should be much better. This restaurant is tucked away in a plaza next door to a Dunkin Donuts. My daughter and I came to dine here in a Saturday evening. Service was great! We were seated immediately. And our waitress greeted us in no time.. we knew what we wanted fried mozzarella for appetizers and Penne Alla Vodka with shrimp.. Yeesh. First, I hate reviewing small businesses because generally they're trying their best and any negativity is hurtful. That said, If you're the first new order in a pizza restaurant and it takes over 30 minutes to complete one 12 inch one topping pie, uhh maybe this isn't for you. The pizzas here aren't bad (been here before) but timing was awful. Waitress said oh we're slammed. No I was the first new order in and maybe 4-5 people followed in next 20 minutes. When I decided against eating in due to the wait the pizza guy was visibly frustrated. And when the pizzas finally came out, the to go order had been ready for a few minutes and the in person pie was barely cooked. See pic. Apparently these places can be owned independently so one might be better than the other. Again food is ok but timing is off. We like getting pizza and their chicken Parmesan pasta when we go to Sal's. They are a bit slow to bring out the food but their service was good..., young staff. I have been here a couple of years before to eat a chicken parmigiana sandwich which was amazing. I went a week or two ago and it was awful. Pizza had all the cheese falling off. Garlic bread didn't even taste freshly made in house, more like frozen bread. Pasta sauce tasted like it came straight out of a can. Very disappointing. Today was my sister's birthday! She decided to go with Sal's Italian Ristorante since she's been there before and had a great time. We arrived and our waiter greeted us with water with lemon ready to go. My aunt, mother and sister all ordered a lemonade to go with their meal as well. We started off with (2) appetizers, a Bruschetta Caprese and the Fried Mezzaluna Ravioli which was stuffed with Italian sausage, lightly breaded and a side of marinara. Both were very great choices because they felt light. My aunt, mother, and sister all got a ceaser salad before their entrees and I tried my sisters to see how it turned out and was very pleased with how the salad wasn't over saturated with too much dressing. Finally, our entrees arrived. I posted pictures and I can't stress enough how great the presentation was. Thank you to the Chef who made it look so beautiful. I ordered the Al Greka Pizza which has fresh garlic, fresh spinach, fresh cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, onions, oregano, mozzarella cheese, extra virgin olive oil. It was beyond perfection and very filling. I order the small size. My mom ordered the Sal's Baked Sample, which had a small lasagna, ravioli, cheese stuffed shell, with sal's signature meatball. My aunt and sister both had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. For desert, our waiter brought a small cannoli with a birthday candle for my sister. Only recommendation I'd suggest is that the bathrooms could use a facelift. Total bill was around $120 for 4 adults. We ordered a lot and boxed up the leftovers to save for lunch tomorrow. Sal's made today a memorable lunch for my sister and another great family Sunday. Thank you to the staff. We definitely plan to return. read more

If a place starts by the hostess opening the door with a smile, after meetings and driving thru the West Broward wilderness, you give them a shot. If an Italian place plays some Sinatra - although a tad cliche - it's a good place for me. If the Chicken Parm's spaghetti sauce is not very robust, and almost very light, then it's not so good. If the noddles are al dente, the chicken breast itself large, lean and tender, it's good. If drink refills are on point and the overall service is pleasant, it's good. If the bruschetta plays with both sweet and tart, and the tomatoes look fresh, it's good. You get the point... It's a comfort food, neighborhood spot up in this neck of the woods and close enough to I-75. If I could I would give them for this visit a negative ! I always would on our way home, go after Friday night football or basketball games for dinner. Same waitress always, whom I always felt compassion for because of the late hours she was working but she was still pleasant. Here we are a year later, my daughter requesting if she could please send the 1/2 dozen garlic rolls back because they were not hot. She was like "sure no problem". Apparently, either I judged her wrong or she is bipolar. Told everyone at the counter/kitchen, that my daughter said the garlic rolls were not hot. I am watching the whole drama take place, the big guy, I guess in charge of the rolls, is mouthing WHO SAID THAT,(like if it matters). Just bring out hot mooshy garlic bread. He continued to touch the rolls with a rubber glove to see if they were hot, but they were not ! I also discovered that they are prebaked and they are tossed in the oven to BARELY warm them up! The service was horrible the baked ziti was delicious, way over priced for the amount. My salad never got there before the dinner, I had to request when the dinner came. The worst part was that the gratuity was automatically added to the check. So what incentive do these workers have NONE!!! Whether you think my daughter is a nut or don't believe her -REALLY???? customer is always right and it was 1/2 dozen. Mortified that I see these workers make fun of our comment. I've been coming to this restaurant since I moved down to South Florida. Having grown up in Orlando with roots from NYC, I surely missed a good slice. Initially, I loved this restaurant. They produced a thin, crispy NYC style cheese slice. Unfortunately, they must have changed chefs in the past year or so. The pizza is still tasty but it's not what it used to be.
