A long time pizza parlor in Cooper City competing directly with the new Sicilian Oven in the same plaza. Although they are near each other, there are big differences. Steve's Pizza is well established and offers excellent pizza by the full pie or by the slice with a walk in Grab & Go concept offering delivery, compared to a hectic one hour sit down restaurant that frowns on pizza slices. Upon entering, I noticed the two monster cheese pizzas sitting on the counter next to the stainless steel double ovens. Ordered an oversized slice of cheese pizza that was cut from the full pie and slid into the oven and heated to perfection for about $3.50. Watched the pizza dude hand spin the dough into another pizza while waiting a few minutes for my slice to hopefully curb the hunger pains in my gut. Served piping hot with a straight out No Flop. The cornicione had two beautiful charred bubbles with a light brown undercarriage. The first bite produced a loud crunch with a nice zesty garlic flavored sauce, and the lightly oiled cheese did not fall off the edges. Thoroughly enjoyed my slice of heaven on the outside patio table while listening to the attendant at the drive thru window at the McDonalds across the parking lot repeatedly say, "Welcome to McDonalds, can I take your order? Great place for take out. Not a lot of ambiance for eating in. Food is good, not too expensive. Nice size portions for the dinners AND they come with salad and rolls. Their rolls are the best in the area. Very fattening but very good! Service is good however if you are a walk in person placing an order, it can take a bit longer than one would like. I've been living next to this place for a long time but never had the right moment to try it. Finally, got a chance to try and it didn't disappoint. Orders online for pick up, strangely they don't do a scheduled pick up. Food was ready in 30 mins, I ordered a Buffalo chicken pizza, white pizza, and garlic rolls. The Buffalo chicken was fantastic, great flavor, the only thing I wished was the chicken needed to be more baked into the cheese, fell of the pizza really easy. White pizza was ok, not my favorite personally but it was cooked well. The garlic rolls were ok, I prefer my rolls to be light and drenched in garlic oil. These were pretty heavy but they were good for their style. Overall, great pizza joint, price is on the cheaper side. read more

Me and my husband decided to order pizza and garlic rolls for dinner for the first time here I picked up the pizza on my way home from work. The place is cute and small very little seating but basically it's just a take out place. The food was ready.as soon as I got there the staff was nice. Terrible customer service! My family went to Miami for my sons law graduation and one night I ordered $60 worth of pizza. After the order not 2 minutes later my son told me that's a one hour drive so I immediately called back and cancelled the order. The lady was very nice on the phone and said no problem they didn't start to make them yet since the order just came through and said they would refund my money. I didn't see a refund come through and called back when I arrived home to check on it and was told I'm not getting a refund. Just won't refund and it was my problem for not ordering from a closer place. Well they obviously need it more than I do and don't really care about customer service but please be cautious of this. read more

Found via groupon but now I'll certainly be back. Excellent service from both the kitchen and the cashier. I usually don't rate items based on an unusual item from them but this time I have to since it was superior. I wouldn't rate mcdonalds strictly based on the taste of their diet coke, but here I am rating a pizza place before I've tried their pizza. We got their Eggplant parm and their grilled chicken rigatoni alla vodka. When I say it was amazing, it's an understatement. After the 40 minute drive home both were still very fresh and hot, and flavor that's hard to describe with words. I can't wait to try their pizza but their pasta was really a treat. When I ordered I said something along the lines of "And some other random entree, whatever you think is good or is popular" And was shocked it was this good! For $30, it was 2 large entrees that included salads and rolls. A very fair deal. My roomate and I couldn't decide which meal we liked better as both were outstanding. Went to a birthday party at Park Avenue Gymnastics and they brought in pizza from Steve's. I'm factoring in for the delivery but not giving a ton of slack because it's about 100 yards away. The party had both cheese and pepperoni, i had both. The first thing i noticed was the pepperoni had the small curled up pepperonis which is normally a sign of a good pie. I took a couple slices because these were cut small and when i picked it up i noticed some SERIOUS flop. As in the whole slice just went limp. I prefer a slice that can hold itself so this, while not a killer, didn't help the slice. First bite impression, greasy but with great flavor. The sauce had a nice spicy tang to it. Great balance of cheese to sauce too. I'm an extremely difficult grader when it comes to pizza so when i say this got a 6.8, it means it's a good pie but not great. It's a pie i would gladly serve a group of friends at a gathering but wouldn't choose if i was craving pizza. All in all, Steve's gets a passing grade for me. Fantastic pizza and wings, as i do not live in the area but if i am i will always get a take out order for the way home if i am. Never tried a "Grampa" before and was loaded with three ingredients of my choice with lots of melted cheese. Wings were fresh and made to order. Also love the music when i visit. read more

Pretty average pizza at best but it's really because I don't like sweet sauce on my pizza and they definitely use a sweet sauce here. One of my sons really likes the pizza though. Personally I don't think the pizza tastes anything like the original Steve's Pizza in Miami. They have a great lunch special of two slices and a drink for around six dollars which is a great deal. They also have calzones and other pasta dishes that I really can't comment on because I haven't tried them. They've been here for years so obviously they have a large following but I'm just not a big fan. read more

I ordered delivery because they stuck a flyer in my mailbox that had some pretty good coupons on it. I had a medium pizza and chicken wings. The wings weren't bad and I probably would order them again. They gave me a decent amount of drumsticks which is always a huge plus. The pizza was mediocre and somewhat bland. We love Steve's Pizza however tonight's pizza was an exception. The dough was rolled out so thin that the pizza was difficult to hold. This was disappointing and may effect our decision for our next pizza order. On line we said no olives In The salad and they didn't pay attention and piled on the olives. The pizza at this Steve's Pizza is not like the location in North Miami Beach. The sauce and crust are very different to me. I really like the pizza at the original location but this one is much, much closer to where I live. I ordered two large cheese pizzas for a small gathering I was having. The pizza was okay but nothing special. I would order from them just because they are close to where I live. The garlic rolls were delicious. They had just the right amount of garlic on them and we're not too oily. I also ordered a large salad which was very fresh but none of us cared for the dressing. That is a problem because for us the dressing is a big part of the salad. It was way too salty for our liking. The prices are fair and the cashier was very nice. What a great little specialty pizza place! This ain't Papa Johns for you. This is a good pizza place. We stopped by when in the area (it was raining), so I didn't know what to expect. I quickly learned that Steve's pizza has been open since 1971. The Cooper City location is being managed by Steve's niece. Cozy little place, casual, clean storefront and kitchen. Delicious pizza dough, tasty tomato sauce, and beautiful selection of simple pizza ingredients. Thin pizza crust and yet not very thin. I enjoyed building my own masterpiece with simple ingredients. I padded my pizza with extra ingredients. Green peppers, Italian sausage, salami, mushrooms, dried tomatoes. Everything is so fresh... just perfect. I couldn't stop eating. Alexia was sweet and provided a great service. She patiently took our pizza orders while we were deciding what we all are going to get. Brandon did the baking. Good service, we felt very comfortable. Their Large size pizza is the best size if you are very hungry. We had a lot of leftovers to take home, the next day pizza was just as delicious. We also received free 6 Free Garlic Rolls for checking-in on Yelp. I enjoyed it! I added Steve's Pizza to one of my favorite lunch places in the area. We are going again this weekend! read more

Our daughter had raved about Steve's Pizza in the Miami area and we were happy to find there was one in Cooper City, just 10 minutes away from where we live. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms which we picked up and it was delicious! We started ordering one every Friday night. After three times our orders were picked up as usual and brought home - a 10 minute drive. We would leave for Steve's almost immediately after calling in the order so as to make sure our pizza would be fresh & hot when we picked up. Sorry to say our fourth time ordering, our pizza was stone cold and very dry. We heated it in our microwave and just figured they were having an off-day at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the next two times we ordered the same thing happened. Cold & stiff pizza. Whenever we pick up pizza elsewhere, even if it takes longer than 10 minutes to drive it home, they remain nice and hot. I wish Steve's Pizza would me more mindful about keeping their pick-up orders warm!!! read more

I understand that businesses in general are understaffed. We placed an order today and upon ordering we asked how long it would take and the response was 30-45 minutes. An hour after I ordered, I called to check on the status. They picked up, I heard the music playing in the background and they hung up. I called back and was hung up on again. I then called again from a different number, and they told me the order was almost ready but that they were waiting on the delivery driver. I offered to pick up to try get the order faster. I got there and they were still making the pizza. Both the order and the charges quoted over the phone were incorrect. The one staff member that was there was very friendly and apologetic but if they were up front about their situation, then there would not have been anything to apologize for. The rating is for the fact that the pizza was absolutely delicious, but based on this ordering experience, I will know to place any future order hours before I need it. read more

Disappointed. We ordered large pepperoni pizza, garlic rolls and a Stromboli. Saturday 2:30pm Delivery. I like crispy pizza an this pie was soggy and greasy. Pizza was chewy like, spongey. The Stromboli was doughy in the middle, like it had too much dough, which was not appetizing and a bit greasy as well. See pic w grease in box. Also I believe the Stromboli was supposed to also have Ricotta cheese an i did not taste any and for $14 I was not impressed. I attached both pics to the pic section on the Steve's pizza yelp site. Rolls were also soggy and didn't taste fresh. Not worth the $35 I spent for lunch delivery. The only positive note is the they are one of the only delivery places locally in Cooper City that isn't a national chain pizza place. I will not be going back for a while. read more

I lived in NYC for 7 years. Steve's is the best York style pizza I've EVER had. PERIOD.

We heard about them from a friend. The pizza and the choices including gluten free & vegan were great. The crust was a little under cooked otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. It's all take out with no indoor seating but there are a few seats outside so I guess you could eat there if you'd like. Good food, friendly staff and quick service. A great combination. read more
