Sal's is a nice place for a slice of pizza. Located in the heart of Cedarburg it's not much to look at but the pizza is really good

This is my favorite pizza in the North Shore and maybe the best in the Milwaukee area! Everything I've had there is great but what really stands out for me is the Stuffed Spinach pizza. It's an amazing blend of cheeses to create one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The upper crust of the pie is crispy and the bottom is more chewy, with the cheese and spinach oozing out in between for great texture and flavor. It's a must try! read more

This restaurant is so dirty. The pizza is left under a heat lamp for hours without customers eating it. Customer service is horrible and the owner treats his employees like crap in front of you. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs. read more

Excellent choices in pizza, any one you try you will not be dissapointed. The by the slice sizes are huge - and come with a garlic knot. The Meatzilla is a meat lovers dream and even though I love meats; the mac n cheese; spinach and marg are amazing also. The owner Chris and his family are remarkable people who I had the pleasure of working an event with recently (even though the meatzilla wasn't on their event menu they made this favorite of my especially for me). They provided their pizza's at Cedarburg HS over the weekend. Their Sprecher root beer and strawberry floats are amazing in the summer heat. If you haven't tried them, definitely stop in - you won't be disappointed!! read more

Ordered the "NEW" Sicilian Pizza and it was very disappointing, soggy and no flavor. The Garlic Bread was cooked so long that it had turned into a wafer. Would not recommend. read more

Just took my son there for his birthday lunch. He ordered a slice of spinach and a slice of macaroni and cheese. I ordered two slices of pepperoni and sausage. We paid $20.85 for 4 slices of pizza and 1 bottle of sprecher. The chalk board showing specials said the slices for lunch were $3.70/piece and for the specialty pizza $4.25/piece. Even in my worst math days it doesn't add up. Our slices were put in the over to warm up but while they were in - another employee was salting chicken wings so the door to the oven was open the whole time. The pizza slices were cold and raw. We were both very disappointed because we really like going here for our lunch break...once per every two weeks or so. Pretty disappointed and won't return after this experience. read more

New York style pizza. Big slices of goodness. Dining room option but I almost always pick up. Very consistent. They do sell by the slice, I bought one once. Sal's re-heats it in the pizza oven. Since I always carry out full pies I can't really comment on the one time I bought a slice. Nonetheless, good value for the dollar. Quick and easy. Isn't that what pizza is supposed to be? read more

Sal's used to be my go to pizza joint but within the last month it has greatly changed. The last few times I've order the pizza it has left little to be desired. Just yesterday by pizza was delivered burnt to a crisp. The bottom and top were black. I don't know if it is new management or just careless workers, but Sal's has great pizza but its reputation is quickly being ruined by my last few experiences. read more

When we moved to the area three years ago we were excited to find Sal's. Yummy pizza that delivered. When we first started ordering there, they'd tell us it would be half an hour or 45 minutes, but often it got here sooner. Over time, their delivery time has gotten longer and longer. The last few times we ordered, it took over an hour for the pizza to arrive. The last two times, I called after we'd been waiting and heard nothing. Most recently, on a Wednesday night, it took nearly TWO HOURS for us to get our pizza. I called Sal's to find out what was going on and all I got was "The driver's on the road. Sorry about that." As tasty as their pizza is, it looks like we're going to have to find another pizza delivery place. read more

Sal opened since 1985, it has already been 10 years. I love their Margarita and Veggie Pizza. Somehow, they changed the way to make the Veggie Pizza several years ago; they used to slice the red and green Peppers and put it on top and then baked it, but now they diced all the peppers with the onions, and also, they don't put artichoke and put too much diced onion on the pizza. Therefore, I don't order their veggie anymore since they changed it. I still love the Margarita Pizza with extra tomatoes Basil. read more

Mediocre pizza with friendly but incompetent staff. No cheese pizza by the slice available when we came in. Even after we ordered our own pizza, they forgot to make it until there was a fresh, full pizza sitting in the case. Ours wasn't made until we had waited and then went to ask about it. The pizza, once it arrived, tasted more like a Tombstone frozen pizza from the grocery store than something freshly made. The sauce was both bland and too sweet, and the cheese was thin considering it was the only topping. Not a place I would recommend. read more

The worst pizza ever had. A first they screwed up my order. I got green pepper when I ordered green olives. Pizza was all crust. Every little sauce, cheese or toppings I ordered. It was cold when it arrived and I couldn't even cut crust with a fork or knife. HORRIBLE!!!! read more

There are not too many pizza joints around the western suburbs that boasts "New York style." I enjoy the foldable pieces and a good, doughy, but not overly thick, crust. Sal's DELIVERED! I don't mean that the driver brought it to my house. Oh no. I drove from my home in Wauwatosa to test out the NY-style pie that is made at Sal's in Cedarburg. Along with an 18" sausage and green pepper pizza, I added two orders of their garlic knots. You get 3 pieces with each order, and my husband is a huge bread man. We ended up with extra, though, because the pizza was so filling. There was only one complaint, really. I like a little more flavor when I bite into the toppings. It was pretty basic. I ended up adding some dried oregano and red pepper flakes to give it a little kick. There was also a major lack of sauce. That may have assisted in the flavor department. I am not asking for complex flavors, because it's pizza, but I want my taste buds to have more of a reaction. A sweet sauce, and more of it, may help, along with the addition of more heady spices in the sausage or just on top. But, for the trek, and the mere $22 for a gigantic pizza and 8 pieces of knots (2 came with the pizza), it was a deal. The crust was perfect, and the foldability was dead on. The other fantastic part was that not one part of the pizza slid off of the crust. It all stayed in place (and not all over my face). Put down the knife and fork. Sal's just has to make a few tweaks to really make this my go-to for New York style pizza. I think I will give them a second chance down the road, in the hopes that they will read their Yelp reviews and take head. Listen and they shall come. read more

Absolutely the worst gyros and service ever! When my family ordered the gyro special they came absolutely freezing! The meat was cold as if it came straight from the fridge. We asked them to warm them up and 15 minutes later they came back with everything melted inside. We didn't get back an order of fries and the fries that were late came hard and old. When we asked for a discount on the bill, the guy said " I didn't charge you for the extra fries" ..wow.. Really? We'll never go back. read more

I won't lie.. I'm very sad! Here I am at work and everyone is eating Pizza Hut..(yuck) as a devoted Sals fan I tried to call in an order for a few slices. They broke my heart when they told me I have to order either a pizza, calzone or Stromboli in order to have slices delivered. I wanted nothing more than a gooey hot Mac n cheese pizza slice.. Two of them to be exact and an order of garlic knots as well. They have a 10 dollar minimum order to get it delivered which my order was over that but they won't deliver slices unless another more expensive item is ordered. We have pizza every Friday at the hospital so doing a special order of slices would have been perfect. Please reconsider the won't deliver slices only rule. I did order but spent less than I would have if I would have been able to order what I wanted. I hope my calzone is good even though I rather be eating mac n cheese pizza I really wanted. They have free delivery so that is a plus.. I guess I can have them deliver closer to the end of my shift and take my Mac n cheese pizza home.. Then it's cold so that won't work and I won't be able to drive there after work as it way to close to closing time.. I just can't win.. Booo.. I gave them 4 stars because their food is amazing. My family and I try Mac n cheese pizza from everywhere and sals by far the best hands down. I only give them 1 star for their silly slice delivery rule. read more

What happened to this place? Did it change ownership in the last year? I've lived in Cedarburg a little over a year, and when I would come to town house hunting, I always stopped at Sal's to pick up pizza. It was really good, and I liked that I could grab a variety of pieces quickly to go. The last few times I've stopped there, however, the pizza is terrible. I am from New York and was thrilled to have Sal's here several years ago - and it was FANTASTIC - it was true NY style pizza. I heard that there is a new owner... that explains why it's not the same. This place was the most unprofessional restaurant I have ever walked into. The owner was not only rude to his customers but to his employees as well. I heard him swearing at his employees and degrading them. I worked in the food industry for a while and this is no way to run a business. The place was a filthy mess, my table was disgusting and got up myself to clean it off. My family and I ended up leaving within the first ten minutes of being there. The owner definitely lacks customer service skills along with general respect to others. I feel bad for whoever works there honestly. I will never go back or recommend to anyone. read more

We live in Cedarburg and thought we would try Sals for the first time. Went to pick it 30 minutes after we ordered it and the girl behind the counter said it would be 4 more minutes. I wanted and paid for the pizza. I saw another girl take two pizzas out boxed them up and hand them to a woman who then left the store. A short time later one girl looked at a list next to the oven and opened it only to find a slice of pizza. The one girl talked with the other and both realized they had give my pizza to the woman who had left the store. The one girl ran out trying to find the woman and returned empty handed. The the other ran out looking to find her and after some time came back with my pizza and said here is your pizza. Since it was rather cool out that night and it had been about 10 to 15 minutes and I had no idea where the pizza had been I refused it. Since it would take another 30 to 40 minutes to get another one I refused it and asked for my money back. In all my times going to Tomaso"s down the street I have never had a screw up like this one. I understand mistakes can happen but in this case I feel they should offered me something like a discount coupon. read more

I usually love Sal's pizza, but ever since they hired these new people I've had nothing but disappointment. Last night I ordered a pizza to be delivered, it was a mess ( the cheese was all over the box and there was very little left on the pizza). Also the delivery driver brought her boyfriend up to my door to deliver the pizza. When I took the pizza back, I got nothing but attitude from the so called manager. When I asked for my money back and explained that I didn't find it very professional to have the boyfriend along for the ride, I was informed that the driver has trouble seeing at night so the boyfriend had to help find the addresses. Please explain why you would have a driver who can't see!!! But the worst part was that I was told by the manager that I couldn't get my money back and when I was walking out the so called manager Joey called me a f@#&ing bitch!!!
