The place is very cozy and feels super local, pretty good atmosphere although a little small. I got the deep dish pizza here with pepperoni and sausage. My first note is that it is not a real deep dish pizza like Chicago style, the sauce is below the cheese and it's not very thick. The pizza was also super greasy to the point I had to blot it off with a napkin. I did like the amount of cheese and the undercarriage was a good level of crispy. However what I very much disliked about this place and the pizza was the actual crust sucked it tasted like cardboard and was inedible. I also would never come back because they do not have their own pizza oven they just cook it on a conveyor belt. If you want this style of deep dish go to Mequon Pizza Company. 4.4/10 Pizza

Some of my favorite pizza in the Milwaukee area! This place has a lot of character and makes amazing pizza. I've only ever gotten take out. The order is usually ready anywhere between 20-50 minutes depending on weekday vs weekend. Our go-to order is thin pepperoni pizza and deep dish veggie. All of their ingredients are so good. The pepperoni is crispy and delicious. Their crust doesn't have a ton of flavor to it but it goes well with everything else and is perfectly cooked. Pick-up is easy. They have a door to the sitdown restaurant and then a door for pick up only which is a great idea and keeps it quick and easy. Must try!

Best pizza! Can't get enough. I would love to know how they make their sauce. It makes the pizza.

We absolutely LOVE Tomaso's in Cedarburg. They have my absolute FAVORITE pizza - perfectly crisp thin crust with the perfect proportion of cheese, sauce, and toppings. Their pizza is wonderfully flavorful and I love that the sauce is on top of the cheese. Tomaso's in Cedarburg has a pretty extensive menu. As much as I would like to try other items on their menu when their pizza is your favorite you eat the pizza. We are also partial to their garlic bread and pickle fries; they are very delicious! Tomaso's is a table seating (seat yourself), order at the bar, and pick up your food at the bar establishment. Service is quick. The restaurant is clean. Prices are reasonable. As I stated, we love it here and will continue to frequent it! I highly recommend their pizza!!

Tomasos in Cedarburg has been a staple in this historic German town for decades. The pizza recipe hasn't changed, and either has the inside, but maybe a few updates. This restaurant is hands down our favorite pizza pit. They always carry good seasonal German beer on tap, give friendly service, along with delicious fresh food. A few tips, get here early as there is not a lot of seating. Also, YES, there is cheese on the pizza it is under the sauce. We get the large Italian sausage, and a large comes with a free 10 inch pizza, perfect for kids. I usually order mushrooms and as a topping, and they are fresh, not canned. When we plan activities in Cedarburg, we always make a stop here. We have never been let down.

Went here for lunch today and had a wonderful salad and pizza. Shared a great meal with a friend and the value was outstanding. A must go to when visiting this charming community in Wisconsin!

I've been hearing about this place for so many years thought I'd check it out. Interesting that it's self serve at the bar to order and pick up your own food and bring it to your table. I guess that alleviates paying servers and leaving tips? The pizza was hot and fresh but I felt the toppings were pretty skimpy. Especially for the price. We ordered ham and pineapple and I don't recall getting more than one or two pieces of pineapple and the four pieces that I consumed. (I don't know what happened to the pictures that I took)

A few years ago, Tomaso's is the first place I ever had a pizza where the sauce was place over the cheese, and I was a fan! I found myself in Cedarburg with family during the holidays and we decided to have dinner here. It's a small place and every table was full at 5:00, but a couple of tables were finishing up, so it seemed we wouldn't wait long. I walked up to the bar to "check in" and one of the bartenders pointed me to a booth in a corner that was in the process of being bussed. She told me to review the menu and place the order at the bar. I've dined at enough places where I've learned there are many ways to provide a service, some are better than others. While I thought this method was odd, I also thought it was cool and part of the experience of Tomaso's. I placed the order, they called out the food items as they were ready and pointed to our booth. I don't know why they don't add a name to the ticket, but again this works for them and we got the food we ordered without waiting too long. Droves of people walked in shortly after we were seated. Some went across the hallway for carry-out and some came in the bar for dining in. I walked up to the bar after we finished to pay the bill, and they quickly started bussing my table. The pizza and garlic bread we ordered were excellent, and we didn't wait long. I don't need someone to come to my table to take my order and bring me food. I just need my order to be correct, the food to taste good, and my table to be cleaned before I'm seated. All of those boxes were checked. I will definitely dine here again!

Not great pizza. Very bland, chewy cheese. Smells good outside the restaurant, but cheap ingredients and below average pizza.

Sal's Pizza is great for a go-to slice or take out pizza. The crust is phenomenal, has a great…read morecrunch, not soggy. Great ratio of toppings as well with a lot of fun slice combinations like mac and cheese and bbq chicken. We personalized a pizza with pepperoni, ricotta, and hot honey. I was disappointed in the lack of flavor with this pizza. I'm not sure if there just wasn't enough hot honey or just lack of flavor with the sauce, but I would probably opt for a different topping combination next time. The restaurant itself is very small and lowkey. You can watch all of the pizzas being made behind the case. Our pizza took about 30 minutes to make which I felt was very reasonable considering they had a line out the door. Overall, the pizza is really good and I will continue to come back, but will continue to try other topping combinations!

This was honestly one of the harder reviews to write because the experience felt split right down…read morethe middle. The pizza was probably 4-star quality, while everything surrounding it was closer to 0. Sal's definitely has that classic New York-style pizza joint feel. Walk up, order at the counter, and grab a seat. Unfortunately, what should have felt energetic instead felt like complete chaos. Right away, there was no clear order or flow to anything. There weren't any menus posted, so we had to pull them up on our phones. They offer pizza by the slice, but we decided to order whole pies for dine-in. The restaurant had several younger employees working, which is perfectly fine. Im all for hiring young help. But there still has to be a baseline level of organization and competence to keep a restaurant functioning smoothly. Unfortunately, it genuinely felt like nobody knew what was going on. After ordering two pizzas, we sat down and waited. The atmosphere quickly became overwhelming. It was extremely loud, people were running around, others were standing randomly waiting for food, and there didn't seem to be any system in place. The entire restaurant felt disorganized. We were told about 15-20 minutes for our pizzas. After about 40 minutes, we checked on the order ourselves. That's when we learned one pizza had apparently been sitting finished for who knows how long, while the second had been made incorrectly. We were told 5-10 more minutes for the remake, which ultimately turned into about 25 additional minutes. What made matters worse was that they never rewarmed or remade the first pizza, leaving one of our pies lukewarm by the time the second was done. The dining room also seemed completely unattended. Tables were dirty, garbage cans were nearly overflowing, and most of the seasoning shakers were empty. Now, onto the pizza. Because this is where things completely changed. We tried the gluten-free spinach feta pizza. As expected, the gluten-free crust was a bit tough, but the toppings were generous, fresh, and very flavorful. We also ordered the Goodfella on regular crust, and this was the real standout. The crust was phenomenal. Thin, crispy, and airy, exactly what you hope for from a New York-style pie. Topping ratio was balanced, and there was a good amount of sauce, though the sauce itself could have used a bit more depth of flavor. Overall, this is a place with really good pizza trapped inside a frustrating dining experience. Despite the poor service and chaotic atmosphere, I'd honestly still come back... but probably for takeout instead of dine-in.

For entrees I got the Gnocchi which was stuffed with spinach and served with choice of pesto cream sauce or red cream sauce. I got the crème sauce. My wife got the Cheese Ravioli which was ravioli pockets stuffed with ricotta, romano and parmesan cheese, served in our homemade pasta sauce, topped with shredded parmesan cheese. My wife loved it and she let me try some and it was great! The kids loved their food! My son got chicken tenders and my daughter got a cheese pizza. We then took dessert home we got one Cannoli and one Spumoni Bomb which is a scoop of Spumoni ice creme with a chocolate shell. It was also very delicious! The family and I had a great time and the rest of the restaurant liked they were too! We will sure be coming back soon!
