This was our second of what will be multiple visits. Our daughter first found Salsa Brava for us ( via Yelp) and we were sold . This time my husband and I had both the tomatillo and the red salsa with the chips, shrimp fajitas, and margaritas. All were perfectly prepared and served. The margaritas are monstrous, the red salsa was wonderful, and the shrimp fajitas were full of shrimp, onions, and peppers done to perfection AND they far out-measured the rice and beans, not the reverse which you often find. We ate in the courtyard area surrounded by much greenery, a pleasant setting. Our server was very helpful and attentive. The location is the only down side, and that may change for the better from what we hear. read more

Just found this hidden little piece of heaven! We've already been there twice in the past three days! The chicken nachos are incredible, maybe the best we've ever had. The Tinga chicken taco is spicy and flavorful, my favorite. If you have kids you have to order the sopapias for dessert it's fun and delicious. The owner is friendly and takes pride in his restaurant, the wait staff is friendly and helpful/ knowledgable about the menu. Salsa Brava was an excellent and traditional Mexican meal. The chips were truly authentic. As for the entree, it was just as amazing. The steak burrito was the pick of the night, with tender and delicious steak, and would be my recommendation. I highly suggest trying Salsa Brava the next time you want Mexican food. read more

Nice, authentic decor. YUMMY Chicken Tinga Tacos! Mixed Fajitas, chicken and shrimp, very good also. Terrific FRESH Guacamole with FRESH homemade chips too! IF you still have room, monster size light, airy Sopapillas drizzled with honey, dusted with cinnamon and served with small scoop of vanilla icecream.....yummy! Prices are LOW, very ample portions, certainly could charge more! Service was excellent, attentive. Outstanding food, wonderful service. It started with the house-made chips and the many different salsas showing the owners craft. Chicken Mole and Camerones Chipoltle were both outstanding. Wonderful to learn about the different meats and favors and chilis, truly wish we lived closer, we would be regulars. One reviewer said it was expensive... Wow, not sure where she normally dines, but this place was very inexpensive, then add the quality of food? An absolute bargain and a wonderful excursion into authentic mexican cuisine. Hidden gem. You won't see it from the street so look for the kwik store. Authentic Mexican food, homemade tortillas, salsas that will sear the roof of your mouth if you want them....and they do breakfast! Best Mexican food I have had since traveling to Mexico! This hidden gem is worth finding. Everything is made from scratch, you can taste the freshness in every dish. Not only is everything on the menu delicious, the owner even whipped up a sampler platter for us to experiment some dishes outside of our usual entrees. Talk about customer service!! We had a bottle of their higher tier wine, Alamos Seleccion Malbec, cheapest price I have seen in town for a great bottle of wine. All in all this is my new favorite restaurant. This was very authentic Mexican food. The fajitas have great flavor. The owner came out and met the guests and he was very friendly. Our server was great, food came out hot and drinks were always filled. They have a little outdoor seating that we will try next time when it is a bit cooler. As others have said, the restaurant is small and hard to locate. Our family of 4 adults chose to eat dinner outside on the small patio. It was pleasant enough despite looking out on the parking lot of a strip mall. The waitress was attentive and friendly. She was happy to bring additional salsa, chips, or sauce. She brought out tasty homemade chips and sauce. The margaritas were disappointing with too little alcohol. Everything else was good. We ordered fajitas, soft tacos, Chipotle shrimp, and soles. The soft chicken tacos had a pleasing depth of spicy flavor. The Chipotle shrimp was cooked to perfection, served in a smoky spicy cream sauce. The cornmeal soles had a chewy consistency that served as an excellent base layer for the bean, cheese, and chicken mixture. The chicken was very moist and tender. There was a nice flavor but the dish became truly enjoyable when I asked for a hot sauce for it. Two soles for $3.95 each was the deal of the night. The fried ice cream was very good. We were pleased with the quality of the food. If you don't care about ambiance and aren't picky about margaritas, I recommend Salsa Brava. read more

Whoever left the misleading positive reviews on here should be dealt with mercilessly. This was bad! Service was very slow. Chips were homemade, but probably yesterday or the day before. The margarita was an awful, syrupy mess. My wife ordered the Paloma--which is supposed to be made with grapefruit juice, tequila and lime. It was grapefruit jarrito, no apparent tequila, and a lime wedge. I got a taco pastor and a carne asada steak taco. The pastor was so over-spiced it was more like something from an Indian restaurant. The carne asada was somehow dry and strangely tender at the same time. Don't be confused though, it wasn't a "good" tender. More like the tender you get when you have a 70 year old abuelita utilize her 7 remaining teeth as a meat tenderizer; all the while sucking out any remaining juice. Then she spits it out, throws on a few sprigs of cilantro and a few peices of diced onion and voila. Adios! read more

Maybe I was expecting too much based on the other reviews. Found it to be fair, nothing more, nothing less. I guess I've been spoiled by El Meson in Freehold, NJ. That was top notch. This place doesn't even begin to compare. It will be a shame if this is the 2nd best place rated for Mexican food in Naples. I am very familiar with authentic Mexican - this may have been the real deal but iit lacked flavor. The pork and chicken were tender but again no flavor. Salsa was bland. And 6.50 frozen marg. was horrible. It was your nasty overly sweet mix from a bottle . Hard to find slushy homemade marg. in this area. I did not eat the left overs. Waste of $20. read more

Wanted good Mexican food while visiting Naples, and went here based on the great reviews and rating. Very disappointed in every aspect of our dinner. The meal took forever, the wait staff was inattentive (had to wave across the room several times to get service) The food was unremarkable, and in fact, the beef in the chimichanga was cool on delivery. Failure on every level, and we wanted to get out as quickly as possible, which wasn't easy because even paying took forever. read more

I hired Salsa Brava to cater a Cinco de Mayo dinner party for 14 people. They were fantastic! Jessica, one of the owners, was great to work with. She offered excellent suggestions for the menu, delivered the food and even offered to transfer the food into my own dishes. The food itself could not have been better. We unanimously agreed the ceviche was the best we'd ever had. So fresh! In fact, all the food was some of the best Mexican food any of us had the pleasure of. We were alerted by a sign holder waving a sombrero. Went later and no sign holder. Persevered and found a "hidden treasure" at 103 AV in back south west corner of shopping area. Difficult to see...easy when parked BEHIND building to the extreme west.. Wonderful food....fresh, ample, fairly priced..........G-R-E-A-T service and owners! Give it a try. Excellent Mexican food in Naples. I'm from Kennett Square PA where we have many fantastic Mexican restaurants and was very impressed. I had the Bistek Ranchero which was perfect and my husband had a seafood soup which was amazing and the chicken enchiladas. We topped it all off with the Sopapias which were an excellent finish to the meal. Everything for $45 including a glass of wine. Highly recommended. read more

We recently moved only a block away, so we have been to the restaurant four or five times in the last two weeks, and we're, in fact, excited about it. Tostadas, tacos, burritos, all well above average. I'm from SoCal, and love good Mexican food. Prices are reasonable, aguas are great. Our first visit was a late lunch, and service with an older mamacita was fine. But here's the rub; service at night is atrocious. The owner unfortunately doesn't seem to understand front of business processes and efficiency very well, even if food standards are high. Waitress was worse still. Kitchen apparently works on one order at a time only. Its one thing to be patient in a small place with tables occupied, but another when the rush is just handled incompetently. 15 mins for a to go box, and 40 mins to get the check is just unreasonable. If you have 1-1/2 to 2 hours for dinner, with a good book or engaging partner, its great. We saw a lot of impatient looking diners, and a lot of apologies from staff. I really hope they can work on improving this, since I would be a regular if my patience holds up!! read more
