Finally found a great Mexican spot in Yorktown. We had lunch in a snowy day. Got the sampler - the single nachos on there were amazing. Guac was fabulous. Got a burrito - yum. Big so I took half home. Hubby got a combo and loved it. Service was very good and super friendly. The place is basic but very cute. And there are lots of tables. Stopped in early on a weekday. Drinks are huge, and food was tasty. Servers were friendly. Decor is cute. This is a spot I'd likely visit again since it is 5 minutes from my house and I hope they succeed in Yorktown where everything seems to close... First time trying Don Pablo. We were a party of 4 adults. Read all the previous reviews going back to when they opened about a year ago. We experienced none of the negatives expressed. We went on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not too crowded and we were seated right away. Alex was our main server and he did a great job throughout, answering all our questions and taking our orders correctly. All through the meal other servers also came by often to see if we needed anything and to clear plates. The drinks were well prepared and enjoyed by All, 3 margaritas and a drink with white sangria and coconut. We ordered guacamole and chips made table side and ceviche, all very good, as apps. Dinners included paella, shrimp tacos and enchiladas which everyone said they enjoyed. Desserts included chocolate lava cake, churros, and flan; all were good. Everything was served at a good pace. We will def be back to try their Happy Hour, other drinks and dishes. read more

Walked in around 5:30 on Friday and were able to get a table for 3. It seemed busy but not too crazy. I have to say the service was great the whole night. Our server came over several times for drink and food orders. She checked on us often. The fresh guacamole was very good. We enjoyed. The salsa was good as well. My husband would have liked a draft beer but only bottles for now. I had sangria which was ok. My son had kids quesadilla, my husband had birria pizza and I have Chulula trio. Birria pizza is def something we haven't seen anywhere else and he really liked it. Mine was good as I like to try different things. The taco was kinda meh but the stuffed pepper was very flavorful. The refried beans were a little runny in my opinion. Usually they are a bit thicker. We did not get dessert as we were too full but we would certainly try it next time. We are looking forward to returning and trying other things in the menu. read more

Guac was good, chimichangas were soft. Not crispy at all and were cold on the inside. Tasted microwaved. Beans were mashed. Beans and rice were cold. Burrito served with fries? Burrito was cold but fries were good. No one was impressed. Drinks were good. You can do better! Won't be returning. read more

We were excited to see this new restaurant open where the Yorktown Grille used to be. We also were excited to have an "authentic" Mexican restaurant in town. When we arrived we were told it would be a 1/2 hour wait for a table, but they took one of our numbers and we did some shopping at TJ Maxx. Once we were seated, it took a few minutes but our server took our order, we opted for an appetizer platter, fish tacos for my wife, birria steak tacos for me. We also ordered some skinny margaritas. The margaritas came out relatively quickly and were very good. The place was packed, which was good. They have 3 large tvs over the bar area, but since it was a rainy night, the satellite reception was poor and they kept freezing. I'd say it was about 20 minutes later that our food arrived.....all of it.....at once. This is one of my pet peeves, I really dislike it when apps and entrees all come out at once. The server (different one that took the order) apologized and went on his way. I realize that this was only their second full night of being open, so really hope things change for the better. I really want them to succeed. With that being said, the food was bland and lacking seasoning. The app platter had cheese quesadillas (soggy and mediocre), wings (very good), a chicken empanada (not bad, but nothing special, at least it was filled with chicken), and taquitos (again, lacking seasoning). My wifes Baja fish taco was pretty good, but lacked salt and spice. My Tacos de Birria were ok, but the birria sauce had a heavy layer of oil on top that made it difficult to judge the actual flavor. Our waitress never returned to the table, we had to wave someone down to get to go containers for the leftovers. We had to wave down another passing employee for glasses of water. At no point did anyone ask if we wanted more to drink. We spoke to the manage, who was a very pleasant guy and conveyed some constructive criticism and did not complain. He said they are trying to work out the kinks in service and food. I think we will wait a bit so they can resolve the issues and return again to try some different items. read more

Went there for dinner last Saturday May 31st about 5:30. No problem being seated. Decore was typical with background Mexican music. Menu has large selection; food came promptly but was adequate at best. I have had better in other nearby restaurants. Burrito was Ok and came with fries. Fries were a bit cold. But as we finished our meal, I definitely felt rushed - even though several tables were empty and no one was waiting to be seated. Sometime in the future I plan to give Don Pablo a second try. 1-The waitress brought dinner menus, I had to ask for lunch menus. 2- I told her I was allergic to RED tomatoes but could eat green ones. 3-My order of c hicken suizas came and there were tomatoes in the salad. 4- Order went back to the kitchen, then came back to me with no tomatoes in the salad, BUT the waitress said there were tomatoes in the rice, so the order went back to the kitchen AGAIN. 5-The order came back to me and the waitress said there was tomatoes mixed in with the chicken and she said EVERYTHING on the menu had tomatoes in it! My husband was eating his meal all the time I was waiting for mine. She said I could order a dish with cheese. I said that's it. We actually had to pay for my husbands lunch, you would think after all of this they would pick up the tab. I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant! My friend and I love Mexican, so we decided to try Don Pablo. I know this place is new and still working out the kinks but we were highly disappointed. It was Friday around 6. It was busy but we were seated right away. The server came over quickly and took our orders. My daiquiri was way too sweet and sugary. The drink mix had a weird after taste. Our food came out in 10 minutes or less. We were surprised. My quesadillas were soggy and lacked flavor. Our food lacked presentation,seasoning and quality. After our food arrived, we felt like we were being rushed. I understand it's Friday night dinner rush, but it's not like we were taking up the table for two hours. The only positive was the tres leches cake. It was good. The server gave us the bill and 4 different workers asked us if we were leaving. I still had a few bites left, when i took a sip of water. Without asking, the server swooped in and took my plate away. Ummm. I wasn't done. The server gave me the wrong change back. He gave me back an extra 20. I felt bad thinking he would have to make up the difference even though he wasn't attentive. Doing the right thing, I told him. Instead of being thankful, he gave me an attitude thinking I was going to leave him the 20. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

We went in try the New Mexican Restaurant in town. We are so glad we did!! I had the chicken Fajita and it was amazing! My husband had the burrito and said it was one of the best he ever had!!
