The beef was seasoned to perfection and I really liked how crisp the shell was. I had a side of avocado with pico and sour cream to top off my tacos. We finished it off with a fresh thirst quenching sweet lemonade. It's clean and there's a nice inside seating with a big screen tv. It did take a bit of time and our orders came out 10 minutes apart, I understand they do a lot of take out and delivery priority orders. A definite thumbs up though. Prices are fair. read more

My husband and I just enjoyed some tacos at this Pleasantville NY location earlier today. He ordered soft-shelled fish tacos (which he enjoyed) while I ordered soft-shelled chipotle chicken tacos with guacamole. My order contained fresh ingredients and was delicious. The chipotle gave the chicken a tasty amount of heat without being overwhelming. It was perfectly spiced. Only thing was that it was a bit expensive for what we received. My addition of guacamole added $1.50 to the overall price of about $12.00 for 2 soft-shelled making it $13.50 just for mine. The tacos are a regular size, not large. I just want you to be aware of this. I would still eat here though and left sufficiently satiated. They have a good variety of drinks and offer an ample variety of food on their menu. They even offer desserts. The staff seemed friendly enough. The eatery is clean, cozy, with cute decor. There were outlets close to our table which is nice. Pretty good spot! I was really craving some Mexican food one night and found this restaurant that does takeout. The exterior and interior looks so cute that I had to stop by. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork bowl and it comes with a crispy tortilla shell on the bottom. They also have tacos and burritos too. The pulled pork was super juicy and flavorful, and I love how you can fully customize your bowl to your liking. I wished they gave a little more meat, and less rice and beans. We did takeout. We had one order of pulled pork tacos, one order of steak tacos and and one order of sidewinder fries. The sidewinder fires were very good, however, one of the three dipping sauces was not included in our order. My wife said the BBQ sauce on the pulled pork was not very go0d and the onions were not caramelized. The steak tacos were bad. I asked them to hold the radishes, they said they would, but they did not. There was no guaca salsa with the tacos and the steak was so over cooked it resembled shoe leather. An overall disappointing experience of missing ingredients, bland food, and dry overcooked meats. This new Westchester Mexican fast casual chain really missed the mark on all metrics. Perhaps the growing pains of a new operation. I ordered the chorizo tacos, pork belly tacos, steak burrito, and churros. The steak burrito, intended to be filled with rice, beans, queso fresco cheese, and sour cream, was missing both sour cream and the grilled corn (extra charge). It fell apart immediately as picked up. The flavor was bland, even with the addition of the tomatillo and pico de gallo. And the steak was overcooked to a dry flavorless unidentifiable meat product. The pork belly and chorizo tacos were served in stale hard shells, a major misstep given Taco Project prides themselves on their farm-to-table yellow corn tortilla. Similar to the steak burrito, both the pork belly and chorizo were overcooked into a dry tasteless bite. And the flavors were off balance and required an acidic kick. Food is great for Mexican/Latino fare in the area. Parking is convenient nearby. Service is quick and top notch. Their app helps if want take out. I paid $.50 extra for lettuce on my burrito and they literally put about three leaves of lettuce the size of baby arugula in my burrito... Visited Taco Project for the first time in Pleasantville and I was extremely pleased. The waitress/ cashier was extremely pleasant and made the experience that much better. It's not an upscale place, the food is reasonably priced, and the drinks are STRONG in the best way possible. I had a watermelon margarita and tried the classic mojito, and both were excellent. As for the food, authentic Mexican vibe. The chicken quesadilla was filling, the burrito bowl was extremely flavorful, and I added the coconut shrimp which was a special for the day. I wrote a review a few months ago saying I was charged $10 for sweet plantains and the portion was like three bites. The owner commented beneath my review and said they dont have "sides" that cost $10. I think it was $8 or $9 + tax so basically $10. what happenned was I over-charged as well as given a small portion? Plantains are not on the website menu but they are sometimes available to order in the restaurant and they are definitely under "sides" How do you not know this???
