Place was recommended by two close friends. 4 were in my party. The restaurant is well decorated and clean. The food was delicious! We are fans!!!!!

This restaurant has an excellent atmosphere, good service, and the food was good quality and flavorful- however, no matter how much you stress that you want mild food with no spicy seasonings, the food is still almost too spicy to eat. I can't handle food that is too spicy, so if you're that way too, you might want to steer clear of this one. It's too expensive to go and not be able to eat your food.

If you are looking for traditional Indian food with a great atmosphere and friendly staff, you need to visit here. You will truly feel like you are in India.

Absolutely amazing flavor on everything we ordered! Food came out hot and the portions were nice sized. My friend and I split two apps and dinner and plenty went home! The service was excellent. The place had a great vibe and was very elegant! We'll definitely be back!

I've been here a few times and the staff is very friendly and the food is amazing. I always try something new and have never been disappointed. The Chicken Dal Sang and Biryanis was outstanding!

I've eaten at this upscale Indian restaurant nearly 10 times now, and I consider the food to be among the very best available in the Triad area. The interior is very attractive I never was able to try the buffet because it was suspended during Covid and never restarted. But I have tried quite a few items there, including: Chili Chicken, Gobi Manchurian, Chicken Tandoori, Seekh Kabab, Goat Biryani, Navratan Korma, Dal Mahkin, Rogan Josh, Chicken Curry, Tikki Massla, Butter Chicken, Kamb Vindaloo, and more. There have been few situations that I have been disappointed with as to the food. The service on the other hand can be problematic, and often is just that. If you can live with that then you'll enjoy the excellent food.

I stopped by here because of a work layover and when I tell you the food and the owners/workers were so sweet and nice. The restaurant is very beautiful and well clean. Now the FOOD, OMG. I haven't tasted something so good before. It was crispy. Tender, JUICY and just right spicy. I loved everything about this place. Especially the food. I'm definitely coming back here on my next layover

I used to be a regular here when I lived nearby, but haven't been for close to a year. I managed to visit today and it was very different from the Salt and Pepper I know. I think they may have changed ownership. I ordered the Mulligatawny soup and the Shahi Paneer, both medium. I also ordered a salty lassi and some garlic naan. The salty lassi and garlic naan were on point, but my soup and entree were way off. I ordered a medium spice level on both, but they were both extremely mild with no spice at all. The soup had veggies in it that were undercooked and there was no depth of flavor. Also, they gave me Karahi Paneer instead of Shahi Paneer. I assumed that they had just changed the recipe to a really odd interpretation due to the new ownership and just accepted my fate. However, when I got my bill, it said Karahi Paneer which makes SO much sense. I asked the server if I had gotten the Shahi Paneer and she checked her computer and said yes. In any event, the space is still beautiful. The servers were speaking to each other across the restaurant for much of my meal, which was odd. I'm hoping I was just there on an off day.

Just had to come on and leave another review because this place just gets better and better. Had lunch with the girlfriend the other day and saw they had some interesting looking specials on so we both ordered the lunch special and it was divine! Service is phenomenal, clean and quiet atmosphere, and delicious food. Checks all the boxes!

Stopped in here for the first time as part of a team lunch at work, and boy this did not disappoint! I love Indian food, but don't get the opportunity to go often. This place is very clean and modern on the inside, very bright, with very attentive staff. They have a very large menu with offerings from neighboring countries like Pakistan as well. They offer both traditional lunch special and vegetarian lunch special , and at first glance you may be in sticker shock by the prices on the lunch menu, but it will all be better when you see the portion sizes! With the lunch special you're able to get an appetizer, which seemed to be like a sweet and sour chicken portion, a side salad, then you can pick two different sauces, I opted for both to be buttered chicken, then a generous serving of rice, a delicious garlic Nan, and a dessert, which seemed like a sugary donut type concoction ( a bit to sweet for me). But the image on the menu compared to the enormous platter they bring out is a little misleading. It was so much food, could easily feed 2 if not more. It was all fantastic and delicious. I'll definitely be going back for another visit next time I'm craving Indian!

    Samosa Chatt

Ahhhhhh the naan was huge! That is literally what I texted friends the second I saw these massive pieces of well seasoned bread. And I'll start there even though we got the samosa chaat: the naan was incredible. Giant as you can see, light on garlic (perfectly so) and charred, chewy and crunchy in parts, a perfect piece of naan. The samosa chaat: get me a buffet of this. A smooshed samosa covered in chickpeas, tamarind chutney, veggies, a creamy yogurt. Our main dishes were mutter paneer (med to hot and it was perfection, a creamy tomato but not too heavy sauce with peas and perfectly cooked paneer) and paneer bhurji, a shredded highly seasoned paneer that was dry seasoned and incredibly flavorful with little pops of freshness. Service was great, such sweet folks and the place was cute. Definitely gets a come back for dine in, pick up, delivery-whole nine. Excellent vegetarian selection!

You will not want to miss this restaurant! My husband and I love the food. I have not had anything yet that was not delicious. Definitely get the garlic naan. It was amazing! I highly recommend the fish pakora as a starter. The restaurant has a nice vibe. The service is outstanding. You can tell they really care about what they are doing.

Best goat curry (Pakistani style) in the Piedmont and quite possibly, NC. Fresh, flavorful and succulent. The tender meat gladly separates from the bone. Such a cornucopia of complex flavors with the perfect amount of heat. Pairs well with the garlic Naan bread. Generous portions and piping hot. The staff is all about servitude and they aim to please. Visit when you're in the area and it you're not in the area - it's worth the drive!

The perfectly cooked soft center, the crisp exterior, and the sticky ssssaaaaauce it's covered in... It's savory and heavy enough to be a meal but I was being generous and decided to share the appetizer with my spouse. They do offer a spice scale and they don't hold back. I foolishly tried the spice level 3 (out of 5 being the hottest) and should have chosen a 2 spice level. But the cauli was so good I fought through the pain. Worth it. I could have easily stopped there but we also ordered the garlic naan (also yessssss) as well as the Lamb Korma and Chicken Vindaloo. Both those entrees were delicious but the Korma really stood out to me. The rich and creamy sauce was very unique to my pallet and when I returned, I ordered the Chicken Korma. Clearly I love a good sauce. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, very spacious and would be great for groups or a romantic dinner for 2 (or 3 if you are into that sort of thing). The service was excellent and our server was patient when we ask questions about the menu. Fortunately, a lot of the dishes have descriptions on the menu so you have a good idea of what you are ordering. Looking forward to returning to Peppers again .... for the cauliflower... and the naan....

We were seated immediately, and given time/space to look over the menu, but with our server still hovering nearby in case we had questions or were ready quickly. When we ordered, the server explained the 1-5 spice scale, gave recommendations, and even asked about allergies. After the food came out, he continued to check on us. This is definitely not one of those "abandoned in the corner and ignored" type of establishments. We started with an order of chili paneer, with spice level 2. It was perfectly crunchy and super flavorful. Level 2 has a nice kick to it if you sit for a minute between bites, but it doesn't necessarily light you up either. It is a great level if you're sharing something with someone a little more spice-hesitant. I love paneer, and this appetizer had a generous portion that could easily be a meal for 1 person. For my main, I got the Chana masala, spice level 3. This was absolutely delicious! Spicy, warm, flavorful. Chickpeas had the perfect texture -- not too hard nor too mushy. As a spicy food enjoyer, level 3 was a nice level that is hot and ~just~ starts to make my face flush, but isn't overpowering. A "conversational" level if you will. I could easily order this on a work lunch and could still eat with decorum. We also got garlic naan, which is always a hit, but done absolutely perfectly here. Pillowy, soft, fresh, and generous with the garlic.

Curry 'n Spice is definitely a big contender in the "greater high point area." I started off with the chili mo mo dumplings and these were some of the tastiest, best flavored dumplings I've ever had. Not only was the chili sauce great on the outside, the inside was perfectly flavorful as wells. Usually, one or the other are somewhat lacking but that is not the case at Curry 'n Spice! For my main meal I ordered the chicken tikka masala and you can't go wrong with this pick either. The rice portion was on the smaller end of places that I've been, but by no means was it lacking. The chicken chunks were a bit too big for my taste but the flavor and spice level (I think I went level 4) were enough to put this place in the top 2! Finally, the garlic naan was nice and fluffy with a slight crunch on one side, just how I like it. Full of flavor and has you wanting a second order. I will definitely be back to try those lunch specials!

Great texture on the chickpeas here, and not too oily either.

After looking at the menus for a few places, Shukkranaa seemed worth a gamble. The menu boasts everything you'd expect (curries, biryanis, breads, plenty of vegetarian dishes), and under other circumstances, I'd be all over the chicken 65. However, I wanted to give one of their quick lunch specials a try. Available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions, the offerings change daily, but they include an appetizer, two curries, salad, rice, bread, and a dessert. At $13 veg/$15 non-veg, that seemed like a good deal for the money. I placed an online order for that day's vegetarian special (paneer kadhai and daal makhani), and it was ready when I arrived. Though Shukkranaa's location (a strip mall near a motel up 68) screams "nondescript," the interior seemed more inviting, and the gentleman at the register was polite. After a short drive home, I was able to enjoy a better-than-expected lunch. It came largely as advertised with a pakora as the appetizer, naan as the bread, and a piece of galub jamun as the dessert (though the "salad" was just a few assorted vegetables). The rice was fragrant, the sauces creamy, the portion size more than respectable, and to my relief, Shukkranaa does NOT hold back on flavor. I don't know if the dine-in experience would be as impressive, and there are certainly other Indian eateries to choose from in the immediate area, but for tasty, convenient takeout, count Shuukranaa as a name to remember.

I ordered some classic dishes. The chana masala I got with a spice level below the maximum nonetheless carried a powerful kick. But I also picked a cardamom pod and a clove out of it; these things can be annoyances to the uninitiated but the resulting flavor is worthwhile. Adding a bread and salad turned out to be wise given the heat level. Their interpretation of a salad was a sectioned head of greenery, some other vegetables, and a hint of spices and lemon. My plain paratha was a worthy contrast to the exciting flavors of my main dish. Adding some samosas sprinkles with spices made for a solid two meals at a very reasonable price. I thought I'd finished, but at the bottom of the bag was hiding some complimentary chutney and yogurt and a papadum. The setting was a repurposed fast food drive through. The food was totally worthwhile and despite the bevy of options throughout the settled parts of North Carolina, I experienced no regret at having made this my road trip stop.

I wish I could say that it was worth the wait, but my experience here suggested otherwise. Positives first: Noor is both spacious and stylish with plenty of seating in both the bar and dining areas. Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I've found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It's possible that Noor really shines if you order off the regular menu, and so I wouldn't rule out a return here. The next time I want a weekend lunch buffet, however, I think I'll stick to Taaza.
