My partner and I are always looking for a good Indian place. We tried this out on a Saturday night. Not many folks in the 20 top space, but a few families coming through, and 5-6 DoorDash orders going out while we ate. I like my food a little spicer than my partner, so I ordered my paneer as a 2 out of 5, and they ordered their korma as a 1, but it came to the table a solid 3-4. I wonder if it got flipped in the kitchen, since mine wasn't very spicy. But, when we asked for a new bowl of korma, they brought one to us within 5 minutes. Much better, if a good bit sweeter than I expected, having tried the first time, I wonder if they added more sugar to make sure it was not too spicy second time around. The naan was tasty, and I was very satisfied with my paneer. We'll definitely try them again. I'm looking forward to the dosa.

Solid lunch buffet and consistently good takeout. The restaurant was about half-filled on a weekday, and most people seemed to be regulars. The space was clean, open, and inviting. I've been to Taaza many times, but most recently stopped in for the lunch buffet and was happy with the selection. I eat veg-only, and enjoyed a dal-based dish and a paneer-based butter curry dish. They brought plain naan and a plain dosa to the table, included in the price of the buffet. They also had raita and a wide selection of chutneys in the buffet, which was great with the apps. There were (mainly lemon) pickles in the buffet which you don't always get. Yum! Unfortunately, their pekoras where chili poppers that day, which weren't my jam. However, I was still able to find plently I liked. I think the addition of a spinach-based veg curry would have rounded out the offerings nicely. However, what they had was sufficient. The curries were a bit watery by my standards, which was a bit disappointing. The flavors were on point though! Also, they had both gulab jamun (soaked sweet balls) and gajar ka halwa (carrot dessert) in the buffet. Both of these desserts could be the main event at a buffet, so I was excited to see them both! Service wasn't super relevant, since it was a buffet setting. However, I always had a glass of water and dirty plates were cleared quickly. So, overall, I was satisfied. I did end up being a little confused on if I had to wait for a bill or pay at the front, but quickly asking cleared that up (pay at the front for the buffet). Overall, this was a good experience. I'll pop in again soon!

Amazing Indian food! This was my second time for dinner but I've also enjoyed the lunch buffet. I can recommend nearly everything in the menu without hesitation - but start with the garlic naan! Prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is clean and comfortable with great service. Although it's tucked way in a shopping center, the ambiance is even suited for a date night.

Wonderful lunch buffet. Their Tandoori chicken is the best I have ever had. I always enjoy it at the buffet.

Great atmosphere, cozy vibes, good drink selection with local craft beers, and overall great quality of food Still no weekday buffet, only on weekends for $20. Saag and salmon were slightly overcooked. The cauliflower and the oothappam were stellar though! Overall a good spot for Indian in the triad. Great area as it's near everything Service is also pretty attentive!

Tried this place for the first time today for their lunch buffet, and I'll say it was decent. The buffet was small but pretty clean. I would've liked some more choices. It was missing items I'd look for such as samosas, and while there was a staff member who came around with naan, it was just plain naan and nothing special. The chicken tikka masala had great flavor in the sauce, but the chicken was a bit dry, probably from sitting on the buffet warmer. I expected to pay $60 for my family of four, but it ended up being $73 because they charged my 12 year old adult price. Maybe I would've given 4 stars for the $60 I expected to pay, but I don't feel like I got $73 worth of an experience. They were good, but there's better Indian food to be had in the triad. Staff was friendly enough, but I've also encountered better elsewhere.

One of my favorite indian restaurants in Greensboro, I also love their Burlington location as well! This time around I got some stuff I haven't tried before such as the salmon Tikka masala and a shrimp dish! Both were very delicious, my friend is more experienced in sea food compared to me and they said it was cooked a bit too much but I liked it! The shrimp was cooked amazing and seasoned very well. I got my friend to try garlic naan for the first time and they loved it! Service is always quick, water is always filled, great spot for a date night! Love their drinks selection too!

Based on all the reviews, I think I came on an off night. Where we sat was not anywhere close to the door, but there was a big draft from the cold which made us stay in our jackets the entire night. It took a while before anyone came to our table. We knew what we wanted so we promptly placed our order. My friend got vegan Saag, I got the Saag and my other friend got the Mughlai Khorma. When our food came out, we learned that the waiter did not put in the order for Mughlai Khorma. So, we only got our Saag's and had to wait for the Khorma to come out. When I tried my Saag, it tasted the same as my friend's vegan Saag (no cream or dairy). We think they made the Saags together and put a splash of cream in mine. Obviously, I'm not sure if that actually happened but the Saag was unfortunately one of my least favorite's of every Indian spot I've been to. The Mughlai Korma, when it did come out, was amazing. Super spot on. Incredible depth of flavor. I regretted not getting this. Outside of the food, we had to ask for things multiple times because it would slip through the cracks. For example, we had to ask for more rice several times to different people because it was forgotten about. And while the staff did apologize, I just felt like the night was one thing after another. Would be open to trying this place another time, but unfortunately, I don't live in North Carolina, so I may not get a chance to.

After looking at the menus for a few places, Shukkranaa seemed worth a gamble. The menu boasts everything you'd expect (curries, biryanis, breads, plenty of vegetarian dishes), and under other circumstances, I'd be all over the chicken 65. However, I wanted to give one of their quick lunch specials a try. Available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions, the offerings change daily, but they include an appetizer, two curries, salad, rice, bread, and a dessert. At $13 veg/$15 non-veg, that seemed like a good deal for the money. I placed an online order for that day's vegetarian special (paneer kadhai and daal makhani), and it was ready when I arrived. Though Shukkranaa's location (a strip mall near a motel up 68) screams "nondescript," the interior seemed more inviting, and the gentleman at the register was polite. After a short drive home, I was able to enjoy a better-than-expected lunch. It came largely as advertised with a pakora as the appetizer, naan as the bread, and a piece of galub jamun as the dessert (though the "salad" was just a few assorted vegetables). The rice was fragrant, the sauces creamy, the portion size more than respectable, and to my relief, Shukkranaa does NOT hold back on flavor. I don't know if the dine-in experience would be as impressive, and there are certainly other Indian eateries to choose from in the immediate area, but for tasty, convenient takeout, count Shuukranaa as a name to remember.

I wish I could say that it was worth the wait, but my experience here suggested otherwise. Positives first: Noor is both spacious and stylish with plenty of seating in both the bar and dining areas. Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I've found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It's possible that Noor really shines if you order off the regular menu, and so I wouldn't rule out a return here. The next time I want a weekend lunch buffet, however, I think I'll stick to Taaza.

I ordered some classic dishes. The chana masala I got with a spice level below the maximum nonetheless carried a powerful kick. But I also picked a cardamom pod and a clove out of it; these things can be annoyances to the uninitiated but the resulting flavor is worthwhile. Adding a bread and salad turned out to be wise given the heat level. Their interpretation of a salad was a sectioned head of greenery, some other vegetables, and a hint of spices and lemon. My plain paratha was a worthy contrast to the exciting flavors of my main dish. Adding some samosas sprinkles with spices made for a solid two meals at a very reasonable price. I thought I'd finished, but at the bottom of the bag was hiding some complimentary chutney and yogurt and a papadum. The setting was a repurposed fast food drive through. The food was totally worthwhile and despite the bevy of options throughout the settled parts of North Carolina, I experienced no regret at having made this my road trip stop.

I am not really sure what spice level they ended up serving me -- they seemed to want to serve me medium, but the spice was completely imperceptible. Definitely not hot as requested. Potentially mild. The food was flavorful, tasty even, but not even a whisper of heat. That was disappointing. To put things in perspective -- I'd say a slice of pepperoni pizza with a few red pepper flakes sprinkled would be spicier. The chana masala was also SUPER oily. I'm not sure if that's normal for them or not -- no matter how many times I stirred it, around 1/4 cup or more of straight oil kept separating out. Beautiful restaurant, clean, quiet, with tasty enough food, but they majorly failed on delivering heat, which is one of the main things I enjoy in Indian food.
