The food was delicious. I really loved the limonada. It was delicious and frothy. So good. The service was slow but I honestly wasn't in a rush. The gentleman that served us was nice and helpful even brought us baklava for my friends for free. I would suggest for them to hire a couple more people but its a fairly new place so I hope they do well. I will definitely go back.

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with this place to be honest. I came in with very high standards having lived in Toledo and Cleveland comparing it to my favorite spots in Detroit, Dearborn, Toledo, and Cleveland but it was actually pretty good! The portions are generous and the food tastes good, that's a fact. The chicken shawarma platter was good. The chicken itself was absolutely delicious but the dish as a whole was a little dry without any sauce or anything. The side salad is mediocre as they always are but no complaints there. The kafta was really well seasoned, it just didn't have the same level of juiciness and char as the best I have had but the seasoning was spot on. The rice was great. Our biggest gripe was the 7.99 hummus appetizer. The hummus itself surprised us, it was actually really good! Great smooth texture even if it lacked a tiny bit in flavor. Definitely the best hummus I've had in town though. What got us is that it says it comes with pita but it doesn't, it's fried pita chips which was super disappointing! Would I go back? Actually yes. Despite some small drawbacks, it 100% scratched the itch for good middle eastern food and I think did it justice. I would go back to get the chicken shawarma as a sandwich instead of a platter cause the chicken itself was SO GOOD. I think the pickles and garlic sauce etc. would add much needed moisture to the mix and really be good.

I would recommend based on the food only. Both of our entrees were good. We had a salad and side of hummus, both were a little plain. The chicken shawarma was tasty, even though it was dry. I had to request some halal sauce. The flavor of the charred chicken was delicious. The service and atmosphere were fine, nothing special. I am willing to try this place again, but would be inclined to get it to go, pass on the salad and hummus.

Finally! Middle Eastern food in Winston Salem! I am giving this place 4 stars because I see the potential but I will say we had a few issues during our visit. I won't focus on that because the flavors once we actually got the food were delicious. We got the chicken shawarma pita which was delicious although we were told it came with fries it did not. We were charged $4.99 for the amount of fries you see on the platter. I found that to be a bit pricey for 15 fries lol. But other than that it was great! We got the Mazza platter which was also fantastic- lots of great dips. Loved the hummus and my mom loved the babaghanoush! The tabouli had lots of fresh herbs and was very good as well. Our waitress was very kind and there are nice touches of middle eastern decor. We went the second week they opened but will be trying them again!

Glad to have some kebab options in Winston! They had quite a lot of options to choose from - which we appreciated! The meat was crispy / charred (in the best way) and flavorful, the sauce hit the spot and balanced the flavors out. I think more vegetables would balance out the dishes- for example would've loved to have some fresh veggies along with the fatter shawarma and the kofta kebabs or to dip the hummus in. But all in all - good flavor and very quick service! I'm curious to try their other menu offerings! There is a 3% CC charge just fyi!

Worst food in town . bad customer service .I could not eat this Shawarma was awful

Worst food in town and worst customer service ever. I could not eat this Shawarma so I tried to talk to the chef he was super rude and offended, so I didn't really wanna argue with him. I just paid and left. Trust me do not go there. You will lose your time and you'll stay hungry and go eat somewhere else.

    Mix grill with extra skewer

Fantastic food and service . Also the atmosphere is unique. Food was tender and well presented

    Mixed grill.

So I did a little shopping and came on over for lunch. When I pulled into the parking lot it seemed kind of full which is to be expected when a tick tock went viral just yesterday, I think. The restaurant itself seemed clean. There was plenty of space to sit down and eat. There were booths and tables with chairs. The girls at the service counter were exceptionally kind. There was a little bit of a wait on the food but not too bad. I ordered ahead of time and they told me about 20ish minutes and I got mine in 25 minutes. I was a little disappointed because they didn't have the chicken ready so I didn't want to wait an extra 45 minutes. So I just went ahead and ordered the beef shawarma wrap and I ordered creamy cucumber salad. Honestly, it tasted pretty good but it wasn't anything to write home to Mama about. Was it worth the $12 just for the wrap? I personally don't think so. It's not bad at all. Would I get it again, probably. But I also want to try other places that may make this so I have something to compare it to. If you're craving a chicken shawarma because you've been seeing people eat it all over social media........ Go ahead and go on over to Aladdin's to at least give it a try yourself. I would love to come back and try the chicken Shawarma and some of their bowls. Ciao for now.

Craving something Mediterranean, something international and authentic. Shish House popped up on my radar and I stopped in for an early weekday lunch. They have the usual and traditional Mediterranean dishes, but I wanted something different today. Went with some authentic Yemeni food. I ordered the Fahsah Lehm. This is a Saltah (traditional Yemeni stew) with melt in your mouth lamb that came out piping hot and bubbling in a clay bowl (see vid). You can feel, hear, smell and taste the authenticity in this dish. Spices and flavors flowing all over. It comes out with an amazing garlic sauce and a Yemeni style green sauce, almost like a salsa. And if that wasn't enough, you get the biggest clay oven bread (a Yemeni Malawah) you have ever seen. Words don't do it justice, see pics for details. This is honestly the perfect edible shovel. Tear some off, scoop up some bubbling lamb and spices, then drag it through the garlic and green sauce. Get messy...flavor the authenticity this dish explodes with. One of the best international experiences which transports you somewhere else. And it's just a small unassuming spot in the international corridor on Market St by Super G Mart. ***PLACES LIKE THIS DEFINE MY LOVE FOR FOOD, AND WHAT MORE FOOD CAN DO THAN JUST SATIATE HUNGER. The mimosa was light and flavorful without being overpowering. It was a subtle flavor but pleasant. The chocolate was exactly what you'd expect from a chocolate macaron, which was good. It had a rich chocolate flavor but wasn't too heavy. I did walk with it on a warm day, so it began to melt a bit. But overall, it was still enjoyable. My fiancé ordered the ginger cookie. He liked it. It has a crust of sugar on top and had a nice ginger taste. The texture was soft but didn't fall apart easily. The server at the cash register was helpful. We asked what the Santiago dessert was, and he explained thoroughly. He also asked if the macarons could be in the same box instead of assuming. We didn't stay in long enough to get a vibe necessarily, but everyone sitting inside seemed to be at ease and enjoying their time. We will return to try more.

The pickles in this and sauce drizzled atop weren't a great addition. The bowl was bland, the pickled onions were good and crunchy. However bearing the bottom of the bowl it had little to no flavor on the chicken. The thinly sliced chicken appeared compacted in the bowl and all other ingredients were simply tossed in the bowl.
